Lenovo U430: 'there was a problem of reset your PC"error

I'm trying to install Windows 8.1 in new U430 touch my brother. I created the recovery USB disk (formatted in FAT32). When I insert and proceed with the installation, there is only a few percent discount to zero and then says: "there was a problem of reset your PC. It does not give me information or choices other than to cancel the process.

How is - this guy did reinstall the OS after upgrade to an SSD? Everyone did encounter this problem?

When you say restore via OKR, you mean with the Virgin SSD installed, I should go to the recovery menu and update from there?

Answer: No. partitions must exist and there should be some files in the hidden OKR partitions to restore. If you need to recreate the partitions for okr work.

I don't have a way to install own OS. That is the question. I put in SSD in the other three laptops in the past and each of them allowed me to create recovery discs to reinstall a version of Windows on the new SSD factory. I find it odd that Lenovo would choose to remove this option.

Answer: The copy of the operating system factory is in a hidden partition on the hard drive. To restore or install you must run OKR via the Novo button if the BONE does not exist. Options:

1 recovery Dvd sets can be ordered from Lenovo. Just give them a call to inquire about this.

2 do the OKR USB flash drive recovery. This will recreate all partiitons including the installation of the OS program.

3 cloning the hard drive using the included DSS cloning program or by a third party program. You need to do a repair late to make the operational okr.

  • There was a problem of reset your PC - new Windows laptop, 8 problem

    Hello

I just bought a new laptop Windows 8, but it was the demo model so I want to reset to factory settings before using it, but I keep getting the message "there was a problem of reset your PC. The refresh option works well, it is just reset that I have problems with.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you!
I had the same problem, my new laptop dv6 HP Envy series of reset, and nothing seemed to work... I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, tried setting the registry and updates, and pretty much abandoned when I came across something that finally worked.  Your mileage may vary, as seems to be to use a HP tool, but other laptops probably have similar software.
    1. first of all, go in the menu settings of Windows 8 in the bar of charms
    2. Select "General" on the left, then select "Advanced Startup" down to restart
    3. now, after the laptop starts up to the blue options screen select "Troubleshooting" and then select 'Advanced Options', then 'settings of UEFI firmware.  Reset by selecting or refreshment of the options screen always gave me the error message and it was to square.
    4. now, I get a Start Menu ASCII with several choice of function keys, including "System Recovery", which is what I chose.
    5. now I'm prompted to my keyboard, and then I get another blue screen "Choose an option" a bit different from the one in step 3, and then select "Troubleshooting", but then "Recovery Manager", and "Windows 8".
    6. I get the recovery of HPs Manager menu, when one of the options is "Minimizes Image Recovery", which restores the operating system to a State of minimal factory.  Choose this one and wait for about 45 minutes, while the installation of HP software tool does its thing.  It seems to take a little more time to reset the system in this way does it in the usual way for a reason, but you do not get near the amount of bloatware.
I don't quite understand why this works and is not the usual way of resetting of the operating system, but I guess that something is messed up in the registry or config file, preventing Windows 8 by using some of the Tools System.  By selecting the UEFI firmware settings, however, gives us a way to launch the system from the recovery partition tools.  I'd be curious to know if anyone else gets it works, or has any idea why it works.
In any case, I think that it's major design flaw: the possibility of calling to zero/restore the operating system should not be heavily dependent on the OS installed, because usually people want to do that once the OS itself is messed up.  In addition, the fact that you have to plow through so many menus to find the good solution is also an indicator of poor design (this criticism applies to a large part of Windows 8).

  • I can't reset or refresh my Windows 8. When I try the message appears: THERE WAS A PROBLEM RESET YOUR PC, NO CHANGES have BEEN MADE.

I bought my PC about year ago. I have windows 8 installed from the beginning. Right after the purchase, I was told by the shop assistant to reset my Windows, so I did as Fallows: parameters - parameters Change PC - general - all remove and reinstall Windows---> who he was. It went ok, no problem, no need to insert additional disks (which I did not at the time of the purchase, by the way - saleswoman told me that recovery of windows, the files are already on the hard drive).  so now after 1 year I am planing to reset or at least update my PC again... but I IMPOSSIBLE. Whenever I try to do the same procedure as described above, I got this message: THERE WAS A PROBLEM RESET YOUR PC, NO CHANGES have BEEN MADE. and that's it!. I have absolutely no idea why. I restore the previous settings of Windows work, with the hope that it will help, but it didn't. Still can not reset my Windows. Anyone have this problem too, or if she had.

I have attached the picture with this message for a better understanding

Yes, I bought my PC (Dell) with 8 Windows preinstalled, I was just curious to know if there is a way to extract the product key for the version pre-installed (just in case). Thanks for the support, I will try your method "to create installation for Windows 8 media. But the real question is why I get this message when I try to reset the system "There WAS a PROBLEM of RESET YOUR PC, SUBI NO change".

See here to prepare a Windows 8.1 with update 1 USB Bootable for installing with a UEFI BIOS from Dell:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/download-Microsoft-Windows-and-Office/Download-Microsoft-Windows/download-Windows-8-1-retail-and-OEM-ISO/

Make sure that you select the correct edition.

If your system does not on Windows 8.0 updated the BIOS with the latest version before using the installation media:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/updating-the-BIOS/

The latest version of the BIOS can have improvements that will help the 8.1 Windows to run more easily.

As you know Windows 8.0 Windows 8.1, I recommend a new installation of Windows 8.1 opposed to reset:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/a-clean-install-of-Windows/a-clean-install-of-Windows-8-1/Windows-8-1-installation/

You can follow the optional procedures to wipe the drive before installing Windows 8.1:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/cleaning-up-a-drive-format-vs-secure-wipe-SSD-and-HDD/

Once you have installed Windows 8.1, install all drivers needed Dell system in good order:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/downloading-drivers-checking-hardware-IDs-and-downloading-and-installing-Dell-system-drivers-in-the-correct-order/driver-installation/

After that, you can install the latest version of Dell backup and restore:

    http://downloads.Dell.com/FOLDER02909509M/1/Backup-and-Recovery_Application_64M9D_WN32_1.8.1.71_A00.exe

This will make a new internal recovery Partition which is Windows 8.1 with update 1 and not Windows 8.0. You can then do a backup and Dell recovery media if you wish:

    Hello

    ·         What software you want to download?

    ·         You have an earlier version of the software installed on your computer?

    Method 1:

Try to download the software by disabling add-ons: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-vista/How-do-browser-add-ons-affect-my-computer

    Method2:

Try disabling the anti-virus and then check if you can download the program.

NOTE: make sure that you enable the antivirus protection as soon as the diagnosis is completed.

    Method3:

Reset Internet Explorer, and then try to download the file: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Reset-Internet-Explorer-7-settings

    Hello

I am a new user of ThinkPad. I just got my T400 a week ago, and I'm a fan of him immediately. But there's this little thing that really bothers me. The second day I used my laptop, I got this error message: "There was a problem connecting to the module of TPM (safety device) on this computer", and I got this message since that date, every time I turn on my laptop.  What it means? And how do I get rid of this error message? Thank you!

go into the bios and check if the TPM secure is enabled or disabled in the BIOS. Make sure it's on. If the problem persists then call Lenovo, could be a hardware problem.

  • After the mistake of automatic updates 'there was a problem loading windows.

    OT: Error loading Windows.

Error loading Windows, it's where my problems began. Windows was its automatic update downloads and when he finished and my computer says to restart when it restarted I got the message 'there was a problem loading of windows', and that's where it ended. For three days I would continue to try to restart my computer, and I had the same thing. Windows would not be responsible.

So, I did a refresh, or everything what he called where he was supposed to completely refresh Windows without my lose all my files, but I have to re - install programs. It took forever for that to work, but he finally did and my computer was back to Windows 8 and when I went to the Windows store to download Windows 8.1 told me that I had to first download and install the updates. From that moment nothing works. It finally downloaded 123 updates up-to-date, but when he tried to install it like configuration updates do not turn off your computer. It would get 12% full and just stand there, literally for hours. If I turn off the computer and try to start again he would go immediately to the configuration updates, 12% complete and even once, just to stay there. Then he got to ' default configuration windows updates returning changes do not turn off your computer. " Now he sits there for hours. I tried turning stop then restart and it goes immediately to the failure message and returning change and just sits.

What I'm doing, I've been without this computer for three days. I'm on my mac now, but my personal computing is done on the pc that will not start. Windows is undesirable. Someone help me please. I got so frustrated that I am about to go out and just buy a new computer.

    Help!

If it was my computer, I would do a factory reset is in mint condition, only install the required update, KB2871389 (download links above), then immediately install the update 8.1 and the remaining plots.

After these 4 things, the only thing I would do is then to save a system image backup so you never have to repeat these steps.
