Lenovo W510 processor upgrade
I have a performance issue with my lenovo W510 i7 and so thought to upgrade the processor. CurrentY there a processor Intel Core i7 Q720 and my intention is to upgrade to an Intel Core i7 processor 4790 (BX80646I74790). I don't know any compatibility problem?
Welcome to the forum!
I was of the view your W510 will be sole-support model generation 1 Intel Core i7. Which means that you could go to one of these CPU:
- Intel Core i7-820QM, 1.73 GHz to 3.06 GHz, 8 MB
- Intel Core i7-920XM, 2.0 GHz to 3.2 GHz, 8 MB

Hi there, Ive had a z575 from lenovo and its got a processor Amd A6 garbage in and I want to know what that most powerful processor that I could put in my laptop. If you want to be able to advise me this would be a massive help. much thanks olly
There are 4 different CPU used in the model of Z575, but please note that
the heat sink seems to be designed to dispel a maximum of 35Watts only.

Can I upgrade using a processor intel i7 4790 K 4.0 ghz on a desktop hp pavilion 550-044 design?
DKinsman1234, welcome to the forum.
This is supported by the motherboard and HP processor upgrades:
TDP: up to 88 W
- Socket type: LGA 1150 (Socket-H3)
What would be the best processor upgrade for my
Compaq Presario SR5412NL desktop PC
It's running windows vista 32 bit, I'll upgrade my memory to 4 GB.
I use the most for Photoshop/Illustrator pc it seems to slow my pc down when I use these programs simultaneous.
And would it be another option to run these programs from an ssd instead of the HD that make a difference?
You are the very welcome, Suzan.
I would say that the safe bet for the best processor the E7400.
Your PC was introduced in March 2008.
I fear the E7500 and E7600 that came out in 2009, will not be managed because I can't update the BIOS of your PC that adds support for the latest processors.
I would like to upgrade the processor to-amd phenom 11 x 4 955 3.2 ghz Quad Core am2 + / am3.
the motherboard is the - MCP61M - HM-(nettle 3) - said it supports am2 processors +.
Work with this crowd, I will also be upgraded to win 10.
Can you advise please
It's basically the processor?
If the answer is 'Yes', then the answer is 'NO', this is not supported by the MCP61M - HM-(nettle 3
OnHis PAGEof T, said processor upgrade info
"Phenom with Quad Core (Agena) technology (AM2 +) up to 9600 (up to 95 watt TDP).
the AMD Phenom II X 4 955 is a core of Deneb 125W
(For a year or two), I have the HP Pavilion p7-1235 with is provided with processor A8-5500 and 7560 integrated graphics. I intend to add a discrete GPU to 7750 and a 500 Watt power supply. I use this desktop computer for everyday tasks, surf the web, etc. But I also play casual games on Steam. I also have the Sims 3 (base game) is installed. The last time I played this game, fifiteen minutes at the level of the fan (I guess CPU) kicking on. It also happened when I tried Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.
Now I don't know if it of because the cpu is dusty or cannot handle these 2 games. According to the technical specifications of HP, I know I can upgrade the processor to an A10-5700 or A10 - 5800 k? It would give me better performance game-wise? Or just do the upgrade to graphical power and power would be sufficient? Also, when a processor upgrade, would I have to mess with the BIOS?
Set to upgrade to an A10-5700 will provide that almost no improvement in the CPU of the tasks not related. Upgrading an A10 - 5800K provide a 5% improvement in CPU related tasks. Your best bet is too make sure all dirt and dust is collected inside the case, fans and heat sinks. Then install the GPU and PSU upgrades and monitor your computer for the fan kicks at the top. With the GPU load moved to the discreet graphics card, the APU (UC) should be less stressed.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

I am wanting to know how I would find out what CPU exact Intel my computer would be able to upgrade to.
I currently have the Intel i3-3220 3.30 GHZ with a Chipset H61 and mother Larrybird-B card with a personalized card 8.7 x 9.4 in. type socket LGA 1155.
I have already improved the memory of 8 GB to 16 GB
I am wanting to upgrade the current Intel i3 processor to an i5 or i7 if possible.
Any tips or info on how I can watch in what are my options would be very appreciated.

which means a processor upgrade?
This is when you remove the processor of your computer and replace it with another (usually one of most powerful).
What is a CPU:
I have a desktop HP Pavilion p6654y 6000 Series. I wanted to upgrade the image to 6 core processor...
I understand that AMD Phenom II X 6 Six-Core (core Thuban) 10xxT is what the list says for updates, but I found a 6 processor that I wondered if it would work. It is not this but Thuban.
(AMD Phenom II X 6 1090 t. Black Edition 3.2GHz/3.6GHz Turbo Six Core HDT90ZFBK6DGR)
The specs are exactly the same, but it isn't Thuban.
I've already updated the power supply to a 400 Watt power supply. Which wouldn't be a problem.
Thanks for any help!
AMD Phenom II X 6 1090 t. - Black Edition 125 Watt would not be supported because the limit of 95W TDP.
Processor upgrade information
- Max TDP: 95W
Hi, I have a desktop hp 280 g1 with the pentium g 3250 mt, so I wanted to ask, is the motherboard supports any i5 - i7 processor? If so is there a processor upgrade list? Which is also the ram max that I can use?
Thanks to respect.
Looking at two documents, you can see that they are not on the same date. Depending on when, so very difficult to say. HP had some series that could go for a few years. HP now put G0, G1, G2, and these 'generations' lives a little easier.
Given that the two documents are for G1, this may be true, and you must upgate BIOS.
I recently bought 2 notebooks Lenovo W510, 8 G RAM, Quadro FX880M, battery 9 cells, W7 64-bit.
Both have the same problem: when you work without external PSU (on battery), the screen will start to Flash / get blurry from time to time, for a second or two.
Note that this happens not only at the point where I switch from external power to the battery, but all the time, I work with the battery.
I noticed that it happens more frequently when Internet Explorer is running.
When external power is connected - all right.
Anyone who has observed the same problem / knows how to solve?
Update video drivers - it should solve this problem.
Need some advice on the processor upgrade choices for a Dimension 4700 with a Pentium 4. I mainly use this machine to launch Cubase 4.5, and an Emu Proteus system and I am running up to the limit of my titles and sampling. I can't go further than 12 titles and which includes three tracks 48 k samples simultaneously. It seems incredible, but it is not enough good my goals of recording. It seems that what I really need, is a Quad-Core or even an I7. On my budget, it will not happen. My budget is $ 400.00 and it grows. I realize that maybe these specifications do not support upgrading to even a Dual-Core, and even if I could how much difference I would hear and experience in Cubase and Proteus fact?
What I would really like to get out of this system is a machine of 24 tracks with the same 48 k samples I need for serious recording, I'd settle for 8 simultaneous samples per song as well as 24 tracks. Basically, it would be normal 16 pieces of Cubase VST over 8 tracks samples of Proteus. What would rock!
If a serious CPU upgrade is plausible, should I upgrade my CPU cooling fan and XP Home Pro? Is my only option a faster Pentium 4?

I have this laptop ^ which I think would be sufficient for an amateur animator... But later I understood that it is not enough, now I don't have enough money to buy a new system so please can you know me if I can upgrade my CPU to i5 or i7 in this... ?
I fear that these laptops have welded the processors.
I want to buy a Core 2 Duo T7500 processor
