Lenovo x230t support Displayport 1.2?

I have this laptop and just bought 3 u2414h for dell monitors. They are supposed to support dp 1.2 chaining, but I was not able to make it work. Dell support has been atrocious. The only reason I can think that it does not is because my laptop does not support. Any help would be appreciated.

It seems that my laptop lenovo has the Intel(r) HD Graphics 4000, which does not support displayport 1.2; It only supports 1. 1a.

" Handle fits perfectly. The two zippers zipper down all the way on both sides. For me, I'd prefer just to zip down to halfway on both sides, but that of my preference and is not that annoying the outer material feels good, not very well. The inside is red and feels as well. Not a lot of cushion support, but it will certainly protect from scratches and etc. ; It does what it is supposed to do. It was the best I could find and I am happy with the product. Looks like the price on amazon has increased. I bought it for 14.95 with 3.98 shipping for a total of 18.93. At the moment it is 19.95 with free shipping, not much difference, but a bit. • New purchase 55 H50 - no access to Lenovo's Support sites

    Hello people,

None of the links included on this new facility will allow to reach any Lenovo's Support site - "site not found".

Warranty service is unable to find all the servers 'security. " I had a hell of a job to even try to post on this Forum - very poorly laid out compared to many other Forums I'm a member of.

Lenovo wants even to talk to their customers?

    Can anyone help?

I've already sent an email to my seller asking my money back as the product and its support does until come to zero - even the mouse wheel cannot do a double click on the wheel - no better pilots ca be found!

What a waste of time and money total this excersise was.

    Kind regards

    George.

P.S. I even upgraded the software 'support' and still no joy - what happens?

Using Chrome as your web browser by default, enabled the link of support at work OK, but still no sign of the server guarantee.

It turns out that my version of the LSC has been later (it has been re-installed, as you suggest), but made no difference.

I made a change to IE (added Lenovo's Support site to the "trusted sites" and with IE11 as default browser, LSC gets supported by links but, of course, no sign of the server guarantee.)

I did make a recording of the warranty when I bought the PC and the grateful e-mail.

can you guys please recommend than what should I choose? the X230T or the twist?

    Thank you

I have the i5 and i7 model of the X230t. No he does not much difference in terms of performance, or the battery life.

  • Yoga S1 Windows 8.1 Activation disabled and poor (or not at all Lenovo support).

    Lenovo dear friends,

I bought Thinkpad Yoga S1 with Windows 8.1 on board.

I had a problem with the OS which I leaded to order the recovery DVDs with Lenovo's Thinkpad support in Poland (thank you, had set records in 7 days).

The reinstallation of the operating system WIndows 8.1 repeat my license code included in the BIOS is not valid and I can no longer trigger the system. See the event log to try the sample and fail when my system is activated, please.

I contacted Lenovo's Support in Poland and they tend to say that it's because Microsoft has cancelled my codes for unknown reason. Contact Microsoft they told me that he his provider (Lenovo) problem and they are not responsible - will I get new license key from Lenovo. Polish support Thinkpad leans on the problem since 9 January, without success.
The grace period of Windows is already over and I can't use my ultrabook now without activating the license.
What is the famous Thinkpad support quality? I already have 4 Thinkpads and sorry gyus, but I am considering length of some other providers.

When I called them, the solution provided by the support of ThinkPads was... "would you like reainstall the BONE once again for another period of grace? I thought it was some kind of joke, but it wasn't... Asking the responsibility of the Lenovo for the operating system Windows had, told me that Lenovo is not responsible and it gave me advice to buy hardware with no BONE next time, have the license of Microsoft separatelly box.

I'm really disappointed. It's my last Thinkpad I think. It seems even to have the warranty is not enoug to get the support of Lenovo - I'm on my own...

    Kind regards

    P.

    Solved!

Finally, I have another DVD from Lenovo recovery. Now it's working. Seems that the first DVD series was disabled .

  • New W700 with dirt behind the glass of the screen - terrible support from Lenovo

    Hello

I just got my new Thinkpad W700 two days ago, but it came with two dirt stains located behind the glass of the screen. They cover about 20 pixels down on the left:

    http://PIC.Leech.it/PIC.php?id=2873956ddirtbottom.jpg

First of all, I contacted Lenovo technical support. They have opened a case but then gave me Lenovo sales because the defect already existed at the arrival and I could be eligible to get an Exchange unit.

Unfortunately the sales of Lenovo really sucks. I spoke the first day by the representative asked me to send him an email with a picture of the screen, which I did. He promised to call what has never happened. I called again the next day and talked to another representative. He apologized for his colleague and promised to remind him to remember the same day. Once more it never happened. So I called for the third time another day later. The seller apologized once more and asked me to send the photo by email - once more. He then told me that I will not get an Exchange unit but have to call Lenovo support first, before any return policy may apply. Thus the circle closed after only three days

Back to Lenovo support, they opened a new case and will now send me a shipping box in my notebook. So I'll be at least 15 working days without my new laptop and if they cannot clear the screen, I have to place a new order of complete replacement to Lenovo sales and wait another 10-15 days before I finally got my notebook back.

This is completely unacceptable to me because I need the laptop for work. My plan of servo is now upgrade guarantee ' on site 9 x 5 next business day ', wait 2-3 weeks that it take until the upgrade is activated and then will make account again the fault to technical support. Can someone tell me if this would work or Lenovo will persist on me sending the DVICE back because I opened a folder already?

    Thank you

    OLAF

The problem has been resolved. Unlike the unpleasant experience that I realized on sales of Lenovo doing the tech IBM/Lenovo service has been superb all the way. They have exchanged or repaired my screen and for some reason any addition to the system board. Now, I have a flawless screen and can start enjoying the machine. My laptop was gone for 5 days only, including a weekend and a delay of stock for parts.

    Bravo Lenovo.

    Edit: misspelling

  • No auto turn on X230T using Windows 8

    Hello world!

I have a new X230T. I installed Windows 8 and then the Lenovo Update Manager and installed what he recommends.

-> At this point, no rotation or Auto rotating worked images button.

Then I installed a couple of drivers/software manually:

    Support for Intel chipsets
Intel HD Graphics Driver for Win 8 x 64
Victory of Driver Synaptics Ultra Nav 8 x 64
    Tablet button Driver Win 8 x 64
    Control Tablet Driver Win 7
ThinkPad monitor INF file Win 8 x 64
    Wacom Tablet Driver

--> Subsequently, turn the button (on the window) worked, auto rotate always has not worked.

Someone at - it auto-rotation work?

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

Update ADMIN - this article should address these symptoms.

    Hi Tout1108G!

Thanks for your attention! The link do not shed light on this problem, but this one has: http://www.itsjustwhatever.com/2012/07/17/lenovo-x230t-tablet-pc-review-with-windows-8-rp-2/

The problem is that ActiveRotate is not enabled by default and it is difficult to find the setting.

To enable automatic rotation you need to run this application configuration: "c:\Program Files (x 86) \ThinkPad\Tablet Shortcut\LENTBCTL.exe" (it's the tablet shortcut menu, unfortunately it does not work in the start menu, so run command line). In the dialog box that appears, choose "Settings" and you'll find the checkbox to activate ActiveRotation.

Yes, it is a strange type of configuration, and I wish that Lenovo would invest some more energy in support of Windows 8 on the impressive X230T.

  • How to connect to DisplayPort and fresh?

    Hello

I think to buy the new Macbook from 2016.

When I'm at home I would like to use it as a desktop machine so I have to be able to plug in a monitor DisplayPort, USB HDD, wireless mouse and keyboard dongle and load the Macbook at the same time. Is there a USB Type-C dock that would allow me to do this?

The dongle that apple provides is only HDMI (my monitor has HDMI but he's busy). I thought that the implementation of USB Type-C supports DisplayPort? He has to like Apple sell USB Type-C cable DisplayPort. So, why don't the dock adapter / provides DisplayPort? DisplayPort is the most versatile because it can be easily and cheaply, be converted to VGA or HDMI, but you can do the opposite without an active converter expensive.

    Thanks for your help.

There is no such thing as a Mini Display Port cable USB - C. Apple.  They have USB - C for USB, USB - C for Multi HDMI port and USB - C for Multi VGA.

If you need to use a Mini Display Port display and charge at the same time, you will need a dock. currently only Dell made a dock USB - C with Mini display port.

  • Lenovo X120e in trouble with the system update

Hi, I am building a brand new X120e (0596) with an AMD E-350, 4 GB of RAM I have loaded with X 64 Win 7 Enterprise. Everything is fine, but whenever I try to run the Lenovo system update I get the message: "the server to update the system is currently unavailable. Please try again later. "Normally I just wait a day and try again, but I've waited three days and tried every day and still not the same error. Also I tried to download things like the Manager of power and integration of hotkey directly from Lenovo, and while they install although they do not work properly. The power manager does not detect the battery and the shortcut keys work only partially. Usually after I get 'not available' error I try to use the update of the system on a 301 x and a t41 I have and it works on both. Also I had similar trouble on an older 120 x I have rebuild after the user filled the HARD disk with spam and viruses, but I attributed the problem to the reconstruction. This is a brand new fresh out of the box of Lenovo machine. Any ideas?

Final update; I'll just recreate the image with Win7 Pro. The features I wanted in Ent do not work in all cases and I have Lenovo Tech Support suggests the redefinition thus. So thank you for all your help in any case.

  • Z500 Lenovo

I have a simple question for which I can't find an answer even in google. Does the lenovo z500 supports sata 3 o it is sata 3.

OK, solved. Optical Bay port does not SATA3, in order to have 6 GB/s so I had to put it in place of the primary HD.

  • Lenovo Y40: Must only press the power button two times to turn on

    Hello

A few months ago, I bought my Lenovo Y40 on the Lenovo Web site and recently, to turn on, I have to press the power button twice. When I press that once, the Lenovo logo is displayed on the screen, but after 2 seconds it turns off. On the second attempt, finally the laptop turns on and the windows is started.

In addition, rarely the phone stucks on the lenovo logo screen, is necessary to contain the power to reset.

Someone had some problems like these describe above?

    Thank you.
    Pedro Lopes.

    Hello

I contacted Lenovo's Support and they recommended to perform a full recovery of the system. Apparently, it worked because I did not suffer these problems since I got windows. Probably, there was a problem with the partition that has been responsible for the initialization of the system.

    Thank you, Pedro h. Lopes.
