  • Driver for mini digital camera

the system came with my digital camera requirements are win98/ME/2000/XP and my photos will not download to your device. I am running windows vista I have to install another driver

If the camera mftr. does not have a Vista driver (and Yes, you would need to go to the camera mftr. site to find this driver) then just buy a USB card reader. Take the memory card from your camera out of it, insert it into the USB card reader that will be attached to the computer. Then you will be able to get your photos off the coast of the memory card from the camera into the computer. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

You don't know the name of the manufacturer of your camera? It's very hard to believe. They almost all have their name decorated on the case.

And how do you know that it can be used as a webcam?

In any case, you get a pilot against EITI from the manufacturer's web. If you * need * to know the name of the manufacturer.

  • Recently impossible to import Photos from the digital camera or iPhone device

In the past, whenever I have one of my digital cameras or an iPhone connected to my PC (Dell Inspiron 530 running on Windows Vista), the import box would jump to the top, I'd choose to import photos and everything worked without problem.  Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but recently I uninstalled Norton Internet Security 2007 and installed Norton 360 and since then I'm unable to download pictures from my digital camera (Canon Powershot SD950 IS) or my iPhone.  The box "import photos" don't jump (it always did before), and when I go to the Picasa or Windows Photo Gallery and try to "import from camera", it tells me there is no connected device (this happens when the iPhone or the Canon camera is plugged).  And instead of the pealing sound, my PC would usually do when a device is correctly spiked, he made three low knock-type noises, as if to say the device was not properly read.  Interestingly, the iPhone still synchronizes / charges, etc., but I can't get on the photos.  I spent some time chatting with Norton Customer Support, because this issue has started only after that I installed Norton 360, but we have uninstalled Norton 360 (re - installed since) and the problem continued.  I tried several ports, and because this problem has affected at the same time my iphone and a digital camera, that work with any other son and USB ports, I'm pretty sure that this is not something simple like a bad port or wire.  I don't know if it's a matter of updating Windows Vista or what.  So now I'm scratching my head...

    Hi BklnMick,

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of Windows Vista.

    3. you see a new message of material found during the connection digital camera or Iphone?

    4. are there any other devices (such as mouse, keyboard, printer etc.) connected to the machine?

If you are sure that the problem started after installing an application, you can try to perform a system restore on the computer to a previous date when you when it is able to import photos from your digital camera or your Iphone. You can follow the article give:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/936212

You can also try to power on the machine cycle to drain static electricity that may have built up on the USB ports.

    1. turn of the computer.

    2. disconnect all devices from the CPU.

    3. hold the power button for every 30secs.

    4. connect all devices to the machine.

5 restart the computer and check if the USB begin to operate.

Hope the above information helps. Please post back and we do know.

  • Windows Vista does not see my Canon G12 digital camera

I tried to upload photos today of my Canon G11 digital camera and has encountered a problem.
I used this camera and other cameras on this computer before and had no problem connecting to the cameras.  Today, I'm having a problem.
    (1) I plug in the camera and a small window at the bottom right of my screen jumps to the top of the poster "install device driver".
    "(2)"new hardware found"window that reads,".
Windows needs to install driver software for Canon digital camera»
    There are three choices:

    • Locate and install driver software
    • Ask me later
    • Do not show the message for this device

    (3) I click "locate and install driver software" and I get a updated driver software - error of digital Canon camera that reads, "Windows has encountered a problem installing the software driver for your device."  Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error trying to install it.

I tried to reboot several times, and I tried to uninstall the device from Device Manager and reinstall the device. None of these worked.  |

AFAIK there are no drivers for this device on the Canon website.  How can I get my Windows Vista computer to recognize my Canon G11 camera?

    Thank you
    John

a screen pops up announcing that a new device has been detected.

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click on reinstall.

Yes there is no drivers for the device. The software supplied with the camera must be installed. The camera window should open when the camera is connected to the computer. Try using another USB port or use another cable, it can go bad too.

In the Device Manager expand Universal Serial Bus controllers, search for the connected camera or something as a mass storage device. Right click above and uninstall, then restart, it needs to be reinstalled. If does not uninstall everything under USB controllers and then restart your computer.

  • Why Canon does not have old adapters for my SLR camera lenses? I can get them with Sony, but not for Canon

I have an old Canon Ftb with a goal of 1.4 fd. I'm getting into digital cameras now (just to have a 12 G for now, mainly used for underwater photography). I would like to stay with Canon, but I'm very annoyed that Canon doesn't have a way to continue to use their old lenses. Nikon, for all their flaws are much better at you can continue to use your old stuff.

Then I find that if I'm going to Sony (Yes, really, Sony) can I use my lenses from Canon ol via an adapter. This my Canon, tell me it ain't so. You must have a way, I just have not yet discovered.

There are many challenges with this and the "adapters" are to be considered with a certain scepticism.

The FD lenses are mechanical - no electronics.  The case of the unit, on the other hand, has an electronic interface for the lens - nothing of mechanics.   This means that if you set the goal, you would have to manually set the aperture but also of manual focus of the lens.

Your Canon DSLR had a split Prism focusing in the viewfinder to help.  A new camera does not work.  The reason why there is no help from the development is because most of the lenses are autofocus so it is simply not necessary.  This makes it particularly difficult to tell when you've worn exactly the goal.  Making it even more difficult is that any device with a sensor size of APS - C (most of them) have a small viewfinder that you had on your Canon SLR photography.

In addition, the lenses are optimized for a specific back focus distance.  Canon's EOS cameras have a depth of 44 m from the mounting flange of lens at the front of the body at the level of development within the body.  When you use an adapter, it modifies that distance.  If you change too much, the lens behaves as if it is mounted with extension tubes, the entire range of focus is moved closer to the camera, and it can be is no longer able to focus to infinity.

There are 3 parties that make these lenses... conversion kits but they do them for a few drinks (not all) and that they require a bit of surgery on the goal (e.g. this level which protrudes beyond the rear of the lens used to set the aperture value should go).

But... the modern lenses are just so much better than the old FD lenses.   Requires really quite the dozen FD lens to make it interesting this fuss.  Also, I own a Canon SLR (AE-1) and a few glasses of FD... but have no interest in trying to use one of these lenses on my EOS DSLR cameras.

I think that this question almost as Ford asking why they do not wheel adapters let wheels it T model mount on a Mustang of 2015.  The new wheels are so much better than the old wheels, you want to continue to use the old wheels.

Leave your old lenses in the past.  Mine are on the shelf alongside my AE-1... body as a conversation piece.  I don't actually use them.

  • software for digital camera Powershot sx150

This is a delicate and perhaps naïve one.

My mother has recently bought digital camera above and was absolutely thrilled with it.  Unfortunately, she died a few weeks ago.  She lived in America; I live in England.  Before dying, she gave me her camera because she knew that I needed one.  I'm back in England in a few weeks.  I have the camera, the software and all of its documents.

Am I allowed when I take home with me to install the software on my computer in England and use it without feeling like I'm doing something wrong?  She would not like that at all,

Hope that this question is clear.  Will be grateful for any advice.

There is nothing wrong with that, Karen.  It's your property, your camera, do with it what you and enjoy!  BTW, sorry for your loss.

  • Lenses for the version of the EOS Rebel Film will work on digital

Will be Sigma and enemy purchased EF lenses a work of camera EOS Rebel Film Version on the new digital boxes?

    johncardos wrote:

As already mentioned the EF lenses will work.

Sigma lenses might work. And if Sigma lenses don't work not you may or may not be able to bring rechipped. And even if you can it might not be worth the expense.

Something to keep in mind is the design and lens manufacturing has come a long way since the time of the rebel movie. Current consumer grade Canon lenses STM match the image quality of their L lenses since that time. So while you can use older lenses may not want.

Of course, there are a few old gems that hold up well, even today, the EF 85 mm f/1.8 comes to mind.

just today, when I try to play AVI files from my digital camera... no sound plays on my pc with media player v11... I suspect it's a codec problem, but how do I know for sure?

    Hello Jorstar1,

Thank you for your message.  Windows Media Player 11 supports .avi, but compression can dictate whether he will play or not.  This is very probably a Codec issue, you can perform a websearch for a Codec that will play any avi compression.
Please let us know if it did or did not help to resolve this problem.

Looking at the website of Olympus, it would appear that we do not
    There are.

But you do not need a driver because you do not need to connect your
camera to the computer. Just put the memory card in a card reader and
access like this instead. I prefer to do it with my camera,
because it is easier, faster and uses no battery in the camera.

This product has been discontinued Photoshop elements should now be used, your Photos, you have had in Photoshop Album are normal image and always on your machine files in your backup. You must restore the albums on your disc.
