Library of Windows Media Player 11 files duplicated and duplicate, file extensiions .mp3 .wmp etc the same song.
I have several titles of the same song in my list library in Media player 11. It eats my disk space? Is there a shortcup method or software that will take the files double and triple and remove them as a bundle? I'll always have more than one file that I have MP3 as a format rip and burning and synchronization. Help me please you solid advice that a midget computer could understand, if you please. Thbis must be costing me disk space when each file is on another extension. If I make a playlist of songs of the library there are also playlist fall into another extension, thhus I have several exrteniion for the same song. I'm spoiled with knowledge on how to navigate in the multimedia player made for so many years, but I'm about to try another player
Hello
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community!
I understand that the songs are duplicated in Windows media player 11. I will try to help you with this.
(1) did you make any changes before the show?
You can rebuild the Media Player library which should deal with the issue.
Method 1: Delete the database of Media Player and look for the question.
a. Click Start, click Run, type %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.
b. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
c. restart Windows Media Player.
Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.
Method 2: If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:
a. exit Windows Media Player.
b. Click Start, run, type %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft and then click OK.
c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
d. restart Windows Media Player.
Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.
Please let me know the status of the issue. I will be happy to provide you with the additional options that you can use to get the problem resolved in Microsoft Windows.

To sort music between library computer and Media Player? How pay you the difference? I download music from Windows Media Player, but some files go to the library of the computer and do not show up in Media Player...?
Hi Phoenixshadows1956,
The music, videos and pictures libraries windows point to the files that store the files of real media on your computer. The Player library simply contains links to multimedia files, but gives you greater control of how you organize and use your digital media content than the Windows folders do.

How can I transfer video files to the library in windows media player for an external hard drive
How can I transfer video files to the library in windows media player for an external hard drive. My os is Windows XP Home Edition and I use wmp 11.
You have to locate the files on your internal hard drive, using the Explorer, then drag and drop them on the hard drive. If you don't know where they are on your hard drive, right click on the video file in the library and choose the location of the opened file.

Library of Windows media player 11
my photos and albums photos somehow were transferred to the library in Windows Media Player and I can't move back to my original hard drive. (I have baby pictures I need to the rescue!) Help, please!
The WMP library is just a 'view' different files on the hard drive. None of the physical files are actually stored.
In most cases, the physical files on the hard drive should still be there. To view in Explorer, right click on a photo in the library and select the location of the file to open . Does it work?

Windows Media Player version 11.0.6001.7010 with Vista. Problems with the automatic synchronization of music backup.
Backup not working in all of these songs/albums that appear also in personal playlists. Does not account for all of the media/music in Windows Media Player. It is also not known where there are additional tracks from the same album, appearing in a personal reading list, these additional tracks (that is, it will take 2 album, but ignore the other 10). Has only begun to occur in 2-3 weeks.
Previously, when I set up the sync partnership, there are options in playlists 'Sync' discovers the device Set Up, such as 'All music' 'All images' "5 * appreciation of music" etc. None of them showing now also available. Offered only my personal Playlists. All solutions?

Windows media player cannot read CDs and DVDs
MS supports says my Player DVD is dead and needs a new drive. So, I just install a new ROM DVD and still have the same problem - cannot read CDs and DVDs.
When I play the CD, I always get the error meessage--(lecteur Windows media a rencontré une erreur lors de la lecture de lecteur de CD en mode numérique...). 'Digital' is selected under the tool-> properties-> device.
When I play DVD, it is frozen my laptop or keep spinning and froze the Windows Explorer and the reader.
I was able to read DVDs and CDs once after a few restart. During playback of CD the WMP abruptly stopped with error message and since that time cannot play CD DVD & more.
So far, I did a few fixs that I found online and nothing wroks:
* No upperfilter or UpperFilter registry
* Uninstall and let the laptop automatically reinstall the driver
* Ms. Fix it gives different results every time I run the fix-(1) detects no problem and therefore no patches have been applied (2) the main media in the CD drive is not readable (same CD has played correctly when using external USB DVD rom)
Can someone help and let me know what that could be the problem and how to fix it! Thank you!

I have to put the disc in the disc drive, and then close windows media player, with the disc in the disc drive already, then re-open windows media player.
