  Hi PamJones. Check if the network in Internet Explorer settings are configured to connect to a Proxy Server and remove the option if there is. To do this:

  1 Quicken uninstall using the Windows Control Panel

  2. run qcleanui.exe and clean all versions.

  3. restart your PC

  4 Quicken resettlement to a new distinct and NOT in the Program Files folder in the folder where your Quicken data resides and install as administrator (if on Vista).

  5 update Quicken at the last updated R6.

  "I just get partially of the" XP home security 2012 through Trojan - bnk.win32.gen "virus/malware on an old xp sp3 computer that is protected by MSE and all updates were up-to-date until yesterday 1/3 when the virus is shown.  How MSE failed I don't know, but even the "stand-alone sweeper' that I downloaded late last night would not find it or clean it. The virus deleted the files in system restore, shut down access to the Task Manager, turned the remote access to the computer "on" and created a user account for itself, making it an administrator. ". It has blocked access to the internet and little almost every executable there is on this machine. After trying every difficulty I could gather, including "computer beeps" suggestions, malwarebytes download, download spyware from doctors, I even tried downloading kav12.0.0.374en, I did the rkill and tkill but nothing find and eliminate the infection, at each reboot, that pop-ups will reappear after a few minutes.

  Finally, against my better judgment, I ran "NPE.exe" of norton that I had to run because the virus kept blocking the executable running from security 'start of command-line only' mode. After graduating with the NPE success to start and run, he eliminated all traces of the virus and I rebooted the xp cpu with zero evidence that the machine was infected however the only way to use one of the applications is to go to the directory where are and run executables and windows applications, as all the games etc Notepad, wordpad, paint... tell me that the rundll32 has disappeared, but it is right in the system32 directory where it belongs. This computer is my mother, and there is no backup to speak, is there any where I can find the system settings to restore all other paths then restore the deleted system files?

My spooler file got corrupted and I need to know what that the stamp of date/time on the latest version of the file: spoolsv.exe. I did a search on my hard drive and found 8 copies of the file with 7 different dates. I need to know which copy in my file C:\windows\system32\. I suspect that the problem was caused by some kind of malware. I think that some of the different versions on my machine of the initial installation of the Vista, SP1 and SP2. 3 copies that would explain. I tried all the suggestions in this forum and several others. I tried sfc/scannow and it simply replaces the corrupted file by another. I understand how works this file and a simple copy will do the trick if I knew that the file to use. I know that I don't want to go back to the first version of 2006.  BTW... my symptoms are all my printers have disappeared, and when I try to 'add a new printer' I get an error message saying that my spooler service does not work. When I opened my services window it shows that indeed, he is arrested, but I will not start because the description column contains only the code garbled machine indicating that the file is corrupted, or it may contain a virus. I had been using F-Prot until this virus got by and now I use AVG. I scanned my machine with several cleaning packages and it is is more infected, but I worry that from this corrupt file grow something.   I read a similar case, it seems that the problem could be solved either:

  1) that allows SSLv2Hello to vCenter, or

  (2) upgrade to the latest Foglight/Agent managers to the latest version.

  Regarding the #1 option:

  Client configuration file updated the vpxd.cfg in vCenter. It's the line that needs to be changed:

  TLSv1

  To add the SSLv2Hello Protocol, the client he added after a comma:

  TLSv1, SSLv2Hello

  This solves the problem for this client, but you can check with VMware.

  If the problem persists after trying these solutions or if you have problems, their implementation, please open a request of Service (SR) with the support and mention this thread.
