License of Windows machine 10 virtual (digital rights) can be transferred to Bootcamp?

I have 10 Windows in a virtual machine on my Mac. I upgraded to 10 Windows in Windows 7 in the virtual machine. So my Windows 10 license (called) right digital and connected to my Microsoft account. I am eligible to activate Windows on the same material again. Now my question is: can I use the same digital rights to install and activate windows on Bootcamp on the same Mac? Does anyone have an idea on what makes say by the same hardware for Windows 10?

Given that I am forced to get the comments "I work with Windows machines, all the time and I've never had a problem" inevitable from the windows of true believers, let me say that your idea of what is fast is completely different from someone like me who uses Linux on all of my personal machines.  A normal start for you is a string without end of the boring stops and freezes to someone like me.

I want computers to boot diskless 30 who now under windows xp pro.

I have a problem with the windows license. As I realized that I can only use a single license for the image.

(Strictly speaking), this means that other computers even if they have the license key in the computer case will be illegal because they use an invalid license.

How can I make that legal?

Is it possible to use all the licenses in a single image?

  • XP license in old machine?

I got a laptop with windows XP in there and I do not use it but I want to know if I can use a license for Windows XP I had and how can I make use in another laptop with already windows 7.

If the old computer is shipped with XP was preinstalled, what you have is the OEM of XP version.  It cannot be transferred to another computer.  If you try, it starts up and tell you that it cannot be activated.  It's the voice of experience!  I'm sorry.  If your Windows 7 computer has the professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate version, you can get the free XP Mode and who run.  If you have the Home Premium version, you could spend $90 for the Professional upgrade and then get the free XP Mode.

There is no reason why you cannot take the old hard drive and put it in a new desktop computer as a second drive but if you want to reuse the space on it.

I hope this helps.  Good luck.

  • Windows 2008/2012 180 day trial can be used on Virtual Machines?

I wonder if it's in the EULA to use tests of Windows with commercial virtual machines.

I see that there are too many companies that offer these tests with their VPS service. I don't think it's OK. Therefore, I would ask.

I also wonder if the detail Windows licenses can be used with commercial virtual machines.

If I remember correctly, only the SPLA Licensing can be used on commercial virtual machines.

    Thank you.

You will need to contact Overdrive for assistance.

You can try to reset the DRM store, but you will lose the license for any protected media you have, and may not be able to access. Unfortunately, this may be required if Overdrive is unable to help.

Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1

Now, I want to install linux on my machine and use the current windows in a virtual machine inside the linux host. Is is possible if I completely uninstall this windows of my computer and reinstall the virtual machine with the same key?
I'm not very familiar with this also can someone guide me what are the steps I have to take if this is possible.

    Hi Andre,

Thank you for your answer, but this does not completely answer my question. I also read that OEM installation does not install the same windows on another machine (virtual machine is like different machine even if I do this on the same machine) and installation of the mine is OEM type.

More important still, how install windows in the virtual environment? If I format the computer and install linux, in addition to this install virualbox and install inside windows that use the cd - key and it will work. ? I doubt it because the windows is already activated in this machine.

The extract of the contract (EULA) for Windows 7 and applies to the retail and OEM of Windows 7 versions. So, Yes, you can reinstall it in a Virtual Machine.

Yes, you will need to format the machine under Linux, then reinstall Windows 7 in a computer program virtual suitable as Oracle Virtual Box 4.2, VMWare Player 5.0 or VMWare Workstation. You can then use the product key located on the COA sticker to reactivate the license.

Movie Maker probably only supports unprotected WMA files.

WMA files will be protected if they were torn apart by WMP with the copy protect music setting (Options of WMP - music Rip) turned on. For an unprotected WMA, you will need to re - rip track, after being assured that this setting is disabled.

  • License transfer Windows 7 Ultimate from old machine again.

I am a IT consultant and in this crazy business for nearly 30 years. I currently have three computers, two desktops and a laptop.  I bought the laptop and the old office of Acer with Vista Ultimate.  In the meantime, I've updated for Windows 7 Ultimate.  I recently bought a new computer from Dell with Win 7 Home Premium desktop and my two primary readers left the old office of Acer and get in the original drive that has Vista Ultimate on it.  Therefore, I do not use the license for Win 7 ultimate I bought.  I want to improve the Win 7 Home Premium to Ultimate on the new office.

I can't count the licenses of OS I bought Microsoft directly or indirectly over the years, and I don't want to pay for another unnecessarily.  Can I use the existing license upgrade on the new Dell?

Thank you all for the quick responses.  Now all I have to do is to identify which license I have on my laptop and that one was on the old desktop computer.   Is there a way to match a license with a machine?

    Thanks again.

Use Belarc Advisor - it'll show all licenses MS installed on the machine, as well as several other useful bits of data :)

  • License OEM Windows 7 Professional 32-bit come with downgrade rights to XP Professional?

If I buy a copy of (System Integrator) OEM Windows 7 Professional 32 - bit, does include downgrade rights to Windows XP Pro?

I build essentially the individual PCs for personal use and small businesses; However, I have a client who seeks PCs 35 at point of sale that will have access to a central server.  Although I recommended the use of XP mode in Windows 7, my customer has been informed by its supplier of software that XP Pro is the best option for the current version of the software.

Although I could purchase copies of XP Pro OEM, my concern is that - during the life cycle of these PCs - my client will have to migrate to Windows 7, as new versions of its software point of sale are available.  If possible, I would like the opportunity to buy Windows 7 Professional OEM licenses, installation of XP Pro with downgrade rights and later have the ability to change to Windows 7 without having to purchase new licenses.  Is it an option if I buy Windows 7 Professional OEM licenses?

Also, I need 35 licenses for a single customer, volume licenses would be more cost-effective?  My current Windows 7 Pro OEM or Windows XP Pro OEM price is about $ 150 per license.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Yes, a version of Windows 7 Professional OEM rights to downgrade to Windows XP Professional.  Volume license is not a scheme of licensing "for resale.

  • Install ESX 2.5.5 - installs require licensing to allow power on virtual machines?

Install ESX 2.5.5 - installs require licensing to allow power on virtual machines?

I am part of an exercise in DR for ESX 2.5 installation. If ESX 2.5 requires serial numbers on install to allow power on virtual machines?

Or does the time where the vms turn on for the trial period?

The doc of admin ESX 2.5 says that he must have licenses in order to on the VMs.

Can the production ESX 2.5 serial numbers be used for the exercise of the DR, or is related to the material serial number. (I think it could be used).

    All points will be awarded.

    Thxs

VMware, even in the early days has provided a 60-day evaluation license - worth ESX 2.x and VC 1.x - the same limitations that apply today apply to the ESX 2.x, once that period eval runs out - you will not be able to on the VMs.

licenses are not related to the material. -.

  • Windows Movie Maker "the file is protected using digital rights management and cannot be imported."

I downloaded a large .wmv file last night and have to divide into 8 smaller parts, but when I try to "import media" in Movie Maker is stipulates that "the file is protected using digital rights management and cannot be imported.

Is it possible to import the file to edit?

Turnbite removes the DRM http://download.cnet.com/Tunebite/3000-2140_4-10783040.html but I still don't know if it would work with Movie Maker (only because I haven't used products - looks like it would work, but I'm not sure).  Here is a review of version 6 (the current version is 7): http://mp3.about.com/od/audiotools/fr/Tunebite_6_Rev.htm.  Apparently, he's copying your DRM files and so it is required to have at least some degradation (but not a lot from what I've read - not noticeable).  Because it's free, it can't hurt to try it and see if it solves the problem.

AVS looks like he got a number of good products http://www.avsmedia.com/, but I don't think that one of them address the DRM issue.  I really didn't listen to music or watch videos on my PC very often so I'm not familiar with the products to do such things.  May I suggest you post your question in the music and its Forum: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistamedia/threads , where issues of music specialists will be more than happy to help you with your questions.   Or in the photos and video Forum at: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistapictures/threads where the video specialists will be happy to help with you project of filmmaking.
