  • LifeCam Hd 3000 not working only not with Skype

    Hi all

As the subject says, I have problems with my webcam and Skype.

Bought this webcam 2 weeks it installed and worked without any problems on Skype and the lifecams application.

1 week later webcam stops working for no apparent reason. Google and looked at archive forum here and down as suggested.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times trying different USB ports

Tried Skype versions (back at the latest)

Made sure cam mic has been activated gives me a bit of success, but not much.

When I go into options for recoding and adjust the microphone of HD webcams as 'default' the camera works in the Lifecam program, however if I put my headset by default then the lifecam program tells me 'there is no camera connected to this computer.

If I use OBS in flow with my headset, by default the cam works without any problem and my audio doesn't work with headphones also no problem.

So now that it's Skype, if yes or not I change the video etc. pickups options with no view my cam and no one else can see me on all the video calls that I make.

Any ideas whats causing this problem?

  • LifeCam Cinema is not recognized at all

I just bought a new on Amazon Lifecam cinema yesterday and tried to make it work without success - the sound works, but there is no video. I tried the Lifecam Studio, Skype, and Windows Live Messenger and none of them can use webcam video (it's 'in service' even if nothing else use it). I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers & software several times, by plugging the webcam in all USB ports, that I don't have, made a clean boot, each solution on every Web page I've met has done anything for me.

  • Not recognized on Satellite 3000 514 Notebook memory intermittedly bench

At the start of my satellite 3000-514-Notebook, which contains 2 banks of memory of 256 MB each, the upper 256 MB Bank very often is not recognized more, and my laptop runs on 256 MB only. Initially, this happened only when I started in hot condition, while that morning, all 512 MB has become available. All memory different tests, including MSDiag, show no error when running with 256 or 512 MB (when available). but the laptop does not start when I change banks of 2 memory or simply use the top Bank in the lower position. I would just buy a new memory of 256 MB of memory, if I was sure that the memory and not the motherboard is the culprit. Anyone have an idea how I could fix this?

    > I would just buy a new memory of 256 MB of memory if I was sure that the memory and not
    > the motherboard is the culprit

Therefore, the diagnostic test is necessary.
A technician can test the memory slots with different memory modules and after these tests, it can give you a detailed report.

I don t think that everyone here will give you a 100% solution. We can speculate and it s something wrong with the memory module or the motherboard. But a test is necessary to ensure the fault.

is not a complete package of SW, it comes in contact with MS and download more things and that is what crashes, we can see the connection in a firewall schedule downloads about 5 MB, which is of ~ 10% of the progress bar up to what it fails, then obviously, the whole package, he wants DL exceeds > 50 MB)

Please if possible give me a link for the complete SW a manual download, or where to find a generic webcam SW, if it is not please give some advice how to do this, thanks in advance.

Hi I solved it, please read because it might help you too!

When I opened this thread I tried for 4 hours to solve this problem * and apparently a lot of people have problems with the installation procedure.

When I installed the program, I noticed at the beginning in a small window that shows progress, he showed a folder he had created and had a random name composed of letters and numbers such as: 56eb37a890142, go and find him!

In this case, it creates subfolders where the subfolder has the name «windowsinstaller»

    • Drive:\56eb37a890142\windowsinstaller\x86\windowsxp-KB942288-v3-x86.exe

(Your path may be different, but the mine was created on a different driver/partition that my Windows driver.)

During installation, I was going through all the steps (in fact I just leave the installation in the middle of the process, as it is, if I remember there are 3 steps, first unpacking, the other 2 steps is displayed in a new window, and I don't remember now I did the 2nd step, however, this is the 3rd step that fails but in this hack you do not go there)
... instead, once the 56eb37a890142 folder was created, I went in the subfolder and installed the

    • WindowsXP-kb942288-v3 - x 86 .exe

Once this file has been installed, Windows automatically forced the closure of programs and handed over in market, after reboot, I returned to the

random 56eb37a890142 of the folder and double-click the following file

    • Setup.exe

All of a sudden the installation went through, obviously something is wrong with the installation program, I think it not to apply the update of windowsxp-kb942288-v3 - x 86 .exe, or somehow fail to do.

One last thing on the randomness of the '56eb37a890142' folder, I have a low memory, if the installation failed, the folder would be removed, so we might have to make a copy of it.

    Edit: I checked the Windows Installer "windowsxp-kb942288-v3 - x 86 .exe '.

It's a "Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable", it can be downloaded separately from the link here below, we could try this instead of the procedure described above:

    Hello

How you are trying to install LifeCcam on your computer?

Make sure that the computer you are using meets or exceeds the minimum video, processor and memory to install and run LifeCam.

Open the DirectX Diagnostic tool. To do this, follow these steps.

    (a) click Start, click run, type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK.

    b) on the System tab, note the processor and memory values listed under System Information.

    (c) on the view tab, note the value of approx. total memory is listed under the device. Most LifeCams require at least 2 MB of video memory.

    (d) click exit to exit the DirectX Diagnostic tool.

Compare the values that you noted in the minimum system requirements that are required for LifeCam. You can find the system requirements for each LifeCam on the Microsoft Hardware Web site. Click on the product of LifeCam you have installed, and then click the Details tab to review the system requirements.

To compare the system requirements for your LifeCam product, please visit the following Microsoft hardware Web site:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/digitalcommunication/ProductList.aspx?type=LifeCam

Note: If the computer does not meet the minimum system requirements, contact the computer manufacturer for more information about how to obtain the updates and upgrades.

  • Problem dark videoconference with WinLive Messenger and LifeCam VX-3000

My LifeCam VX-3000 webcam cannot support a video call in Windows Live Messenger. I can text back OK, and sound and motion video work very well when I check the audio/video settings. When I try a video connection, the system hangs on my end... the other party may accept the call but my end still ringing and the video image is frozen... There is no sound during this video call attempt.   The system is XP Home SP3... all security is up to date. I use a 6 Mbit internet service.  I did a complete uninstall of Windows Live Essentials, re-installed components and get the same result. This Setup worked fine until a week ago.  This problem would have started at the time, I installed and started using MagicJack, but I tried to uninstall Magic Jack and the result is the same. Maybe another change is that Windows Live Messenger has offered an upgrade to a newer version that was made.  I'm looking for some ideas on any peripheral or software conflicts and methods to isolate or resolve them.

    Hello

    Method 1.
First of all I ask you to re - install the Microsoft Life Cam software and drivers from the link below and then check out.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=ice

    Method 2.
If the problem persists, perform a clean boot to find any conflicting with the Windows Live Messenger application.
For more inoformation on boot, refer to the article below.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353
Note: Don't forget to set the computer to start normal, as mentioned in the above article.
Also update the chipset drivers and check. You may need to contact the manufacturer of the computer for that.
    I hope this helps.
