LifeCam HD-5001 not seen by computer

I just bought a LC HD-5001 and installed the software from the cd. The computer does not see the camera. I could miss a driver? If so, then where can I find it on the cd? I am running xp sp3. I could add hardware but I need a driver.

Hey Daniel of Canada

you will find the drivers on the manufacturers site if they are not on the cd that would be very unusual if they are not on the cd

unless the drivers for your operating system were not written by the manufacturer

  • E260 - deletion of files on the drive, if it is not seen on computer - PSG

Sorry if this has been addressed and it seems to me that I looked through many posts and textbooks without a specific response to my problem.

I have only used Windows Media Player 11.  I download songs on my computer, and only using MTP mode, I drag and drop the songs in folder my music in my Sansa e260.  For some reason, 3 albums give me such trouble.  They do not play, then I deleted from the e260 and re-slipped and fell out of my music.  Now, there are double songs for these specific albums.  A song works and the song another, exactly, is a "wrong track."  I have since deleted completely my e260 albums, but they remain on the interface when I look in my albums.

How can I get rid of them for good (so that I can drop and drag them as they were new)?  Note that in MTP mode, it does not automatically sync for me - I stop this immediately.  In addition, I don't have an option "Remove song" in my music on the e260 options.

    Thanks in advance.

For the 'wrong way' problem, try chkdsk mode MSC and MTP (I don't know if it'll work at PSG).

For bad ads, view records in MSC mode and delete the DATA folder located in the SYSTEM folder. That will erase the database, the index, which the Sansa's files, and it will build a new database of records that you have not deleted.

  • BlackBerry 8330 smartphones not seen by computer

Hi, I have a new 8330 and there is a disconnected alert Desktop Manager, when I connect to the computer and will not see the PIN code. When I go in the options and try to connect, it does not detect the device. It is not the Blackberry because it works on other computers (Vista and XP systems) but not the main I need which is an ACER Windows XP. On the Blackberry itself it does not even show the little indicator "connected" on the battery icon and it will appear on the computer as an external storage device when I connect via USB. I connected it directly to all six ports and nothing.

I followed all of the threads that I could find, making several clean reinstalls 4.2, 4.3, 4.7. I closed off the power to the USB ports as recommended, out the battery for a few minutes, and I started in safe mode, but also removed the? driver in Device Manager. When in safe mode I at least get the connection with the mass storage option the 8330 that I say yes to but don't get always the computer to see the blackberry as an external storage even. The wizzard asks me if I want to install the software but does nothing about installing it.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance

  • P7 - 1436 s: Second hard drive not seen by Win10.

I physically installed a Seagate Barracuda 2 TB HDD in my office as additional data storage.  He is not seen by the operating system.  I followed the instructions and the video on this site.  I have installed and run the Seagate drive Wizzard but he does not see the new hard drive either.  The new drive is connected to the SATA1.  Power is the second connector on the cable that feeds the original hard drive (drive C).  I noticed that the hard aiinstalle plant is a Seagate Barracuda 1 TB so I guess tha the new drive must be compatible.  The computer works normally.

Do I have to activate the new hard drive in the BIOS, and if so how do I do that?   (I make sure all the cables are in place.)

Notice of another forum was to click on the 'Simple Volume' and then format.  I did it and here he was there.  I was able to access the drive again now.  Thanks for all the help.

  • KB2633880 - KB2518864 - KB2572073 installed, but not "seen" by Windows Update

    KB2633880 - KB2518864 - KB2572073 installed, but not "seen" by Windows Update

Today (Tuesday 22 may 2012), after seeing the yellow icon in the taskbar, I ran Windows Update and KB2633880 - KB2518864 - KB2572073 successfully installed, I turned off the PC by clicking on the red icon Turn Off with a shield icon, expected for all 3 updates to install, 4-color and for the PC to stop itself. It took a while, but everything went well. No error message.

After turning on the PC, I went back to Windows Update and was surprised to see Windows Update suggests to install... KB2633880 - KB2518864 - KB2572073 which is the same three components I have installed successfully.

I ran Microsoft Fix It that 1 issue (update of Windows components needs to be repaired (next line) repair of components Windows Update.) I clicked Next. Everything went well. I had a green check mark 'Fixed '.  I turned off the PC (without having to install 3 updates which I have already installed).

I turned on the PC and went to Windows Update, asking me to install KB2633880 - KB2518864 - KB2572073. It's like Windows Update does not "see" that these 3 elements have already been installed.

Note: I have the same problem on another PC. The two PC XP SP3 and are stand-alone PC. One is a desktop computer. The other laptop.

  • Webcam LifeCam Cinema is not in the LifeCam software, but works (in low def) with other programs.

Just installed my LifeCam Cinema in the correct order (CD of the software first, then plug the webcam into a USB socket). The usual pop-ups in the status bar is displayed (new hardware found, the webcam is properly identified, "ready to use" and shows in Device Manager) and the installation tells me the installation of the drivers and software is made. Installation normally ends when I click done at the end, but never start step 3 (the camera configuration).

The camera works (not in HD) in Windows Explorer, the last Live Messenger and Skype, but NOT in the LifeCam 3.0 program. "There is no camera connected to this computer," he says, and the only option I have is to click on the help icon. There is no other error message.

I have tried to uninstall, reinstall with the LifeCam 3.0 package downloaded, restart, all the try again all other USB 2.0 ports, disconnect all other USB devices, but the LifeCam software will not find my camera. That way I don't get access to the advanced settings like the resolution and these stupid effects, I was eager to try :) :(

I have .NET installed 3.5, but only Live Messenger than essentials package. Do I need anything else to make LifeCam 3.0 find my camera?

  • Installation of Vista on the new hard drive was interrupted, and now I can not start the computer

So I decided that I need a bigger hard drive. I got a 500 GB hard drive, so I have it PLOPPED in my Acer Aspire 5517 with my vista boot drive, turned on and began to go through the process. Once he got to the phase 'installation complete' it seems to take a while, so I let it run all night. Once I got up, it was on a black screen with the mouse, I let stand a few more minutes but still nothing. I turned off and started it expects to find to return at the beginning of the installation, but instead he began to start from what is on the hard drive at this time. It got to the screen with the loading bar and the sign 'Microsoft Corporation'. The loading bar was very frigidity and stopped and started randomly. I let it do this while I went to school, but when I got home, it was always the same loading screen. I rebooted and tried to start in safe mode, but when I do it it stops at crcdisk.sys, and never forwarded charges. I tried to do the reset thing factory start it but that doesn't seem to work. My other puny hard drive still works, but the other does not. I searched the internet but have not seen any other problem like it. I want to just start completely clean of my new 500 GB. Please help!

    Hi James,

    1. What is the number of brand and model of the hard disk of 500 GB?

    2. How did the 500 GB hard drive connected to the computer? It is external or internal?

To troubleshoot the unable to start the issue to cause corrupted driver, some files that can not be loaded during the startup process must be fixed or restored. So, let's check the disk by using the Windows Recovery Console.

    (a) put the Windows Vista installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.

    (b) press a key when the message "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD ".

    (c) select a language, a time, a currency and a keyboard or another input method, and then click Next.

    (d) click on repair your computer.

    (e) (click on the operating system you want to repair), and then click Next.

    (f) in the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt. Type chkdsk c:/f to try to correct the errors.

    (g) Note: answer them when chkdsk asks you if you want to check the disk next boot Vista

    (h) after the recording of the disc, and then run sfc/scannow to check the corruption of system files.

Important: when running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

Check out TechNet help links and check if that helps:

The computer starts stops at crcdisk.sys

LifeCam.exe does not work correctly and will close its doors has just begun to burst yesterday.  I have all the updated drivers and firmware.   I have no new schedule.  He began to appear while I was skyping with my wife.  Sometimes, I push the buttons to confirm and Skype still works with video and mic.  But I can't open the lifecam program more.

    Hello

    Try the following steps:

Step 1: Put the computer to boot to determine the software causing problem

Followstep 1 in the link below,
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7 :
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you need to maybe update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use this software, you can consider
    Uninstall.

    Important:
n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.

    If the problem persists,
Step 2: Download and install the latest version of the life CAM software

  • the system recovery media does not support this computer

I have a HP G7-1365DX and the hard drive (750 GB) is a failure.  I did a recovery file on a USB key from the recovery partition and then replaced the hard drive with a 120 GB SSD.  When I tried to reinstall the USB system, I get the message "the system recovery media does not support this computer."  Is it because the hard drive was replaced by a SSD?  How to restore the system if the recovery disk does not work?

    Hello

You are right about the source of this problem - HP recovery media often has problems of restoring the operating system on a smaller disk in quality than appeared on.

There are a few options available.

    1. if the 750 GB drive is still able to operate, use your recovery media to perform a factory reset and then use software (or Windows 7 own imaging utility) for this clone of your SSD.

2 create your own recovery media to use to run the installation - it would be my personal preference.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create an installation disk yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the version exact same origin supplied with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.

  • DVD drive not seen by Windows 8

I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7 537 originally. The installed and functional DVD drive is a TSST DVD +-RW TS-H653G ATA drive.

I have recently installed WIndows 8 in dual boot. When I boot with Windows 8, the DVD drive is not seen. When I go to the Device Manager and I look at the properties of the DVD player, I have the following message appears in the device status area (here I give a translation of the message in french)

This device is not actually connected to the computer (Code = 45).

To correct this problem, reconnect the device to the computer.

The fact is that the DVD still works fine when starting with Windows 7.

Do I need a new driver or a new device or what else?

    Marcel Painchaud

    (mpainchaud67)

    Hi Marcel Painchaud,.

I appreciate the time and effort you took to resolve the problem. Please do the following:

    1. run the command as administrator prompt. Type cmd in Windows 8 modern user interface and press HUMINT + shift + enter

2 type following and say enter

    Reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" / f/v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001
