LifeChat LX-3000 headset microphone crackles
Hey,.
I bought the lifechat LX-3000 headset 5 months ago. It is in a great shape and worked really well until yesterday.
I just played online, also using a program called TeamSpeak3 to discuss with my friends when my microphone started to Crackle.
Although the sound (playback) is good, not crackling all playing music or hear other people talking.
I tried:
Change USB ports (twice) and I always kept on the Web at mattress 'default' in the properties.
Test with 3 different programs. (TeamSpeak3, Skype, recorder of windows).
Furthermore, I use Windows 8.
now, not only that mic is crackling, no one can hear me when I speak, not even if I yell it.
Thank you very much for the help!

Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 headset does not
Original title: Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 headset
Just bought a laptop Sony Vaio 64 bit. Tried to install the software for the LX-3000 headset. Does not work. It seems that Microsoft needs to do some work update, which will be compatible with windows 7. Don't know why they sell this * if it does not work properly! Kind of a RIP-OFF I would say! By reading this forum, it seems that I'm not the only one who's been watered.

LifeChat LX-3000 headset does not work with Windows 7 RC1
Previously, I used my LifeChat LX-3000 headset with my machine Windows 7 Beta and it worked fine. I've recently updated to Windows 7 RC1 and now I can't not all sounds through them either. The laptop speakers work very well and when I press the button "mute", the led turns on, but when I look at the volume of the headphone mixer is not present among the devices that I can change. Anyone else running into this issue? All the solutions you can think?
Looks like I found the answer in one click right on the speaker in the sys tray icon and selected "reading devices". From there, I saw «Headphone Earphone» option I clicked on it and then on the "Set default" button. Now, it seems that it works very well. It's just different how manipulated beta Headset USB.

Sound problems and micro Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000
Hello
About a year ago and a half years, I bought the Lifechat LX-3000 headset. They worked great for a long time, but now it seems they are mess up :(Two weeks, I was on my desktop Windows 7 Professional x 64 and I was getting complaints my microphone on Skype is gone completely silent and occasionally during these moments of silence, would that make a really loud cracking sound. Then I tested it in the tape and confirmed that there was a problem. He plugged out and back in and it was great to work for about 5 minutes, then he started again. I then plugged into an USB extension cable 2 meter to which he was previously connected and it worked great again for like 3 days.3 days later, he did it again despite it was connected to the back of the PC. I then plugged on the front of the PC, and it worked great for like 4 days.Today, I'm sitting here on my Windows laptop, 8 x 64 and the sound went away completely. I assumed initially that I had eliminated the USB so I plugged it on then back in and it worked very well. He then did again as three minutes later. Now, its been almost 20 minutes and it works well again.Anyone has any ideas at all? They are in good condition because they are a year and a half, they never took to big drops, the best that I would do is lay on my bed.* EDIT - however, no matter how the music is now, always adjust. Initially I thought it was a problem of power, but now they work very well: oHi James,

Microsoft LifeChat LX 3000 stops the sound from the speakers when connected
Hello
I bought a USB Microsoft LifeChat LX 3000 headset, and when it is plugged into my USB port, no sound is heard from the speakers.
When I disconect the speakers rund LX 3000 perfectly.
Someone knows how to fix this problem, please
I wanted to check if Microsoft LifeChat LX 3000 has all the entries in this section and if it has settings to enable or disable speakers when it is installed. It is obviously the installer to work this way by default--I know not how to change the value by default if there is no entry in the audio section.
Try to download updated drivers for your sound card - she is in the speakers and contolling the LifeChat for an upgrade can provide options that are not currently available and you should be able to control if both can work at the same time. While you're there, download and reinstall the updated drivers LifeChat as well.
Here is a link to the Microsoft Support - I don't know if it will be free or not (I can't go past the area enter the product id field). https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=12368&st=1&wfxredirect=1. If free (I'm not sure I want to pay for support) and then explain the problem and they may be able to tell an easy solution that we have lost.
Here is a link to the product documentation that can explain what is happening and why. Maybe it's just the way they are designed to work. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/documentation/default.aspx?type=LifeChat&sku=JUG-00001.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

I used my LifeChat headset for about a month now and all of a sudden, the Red mute light will not extinguish. In others, it will not reactivate. I tried to remove and reinstall the driver. The volume up and down buttons work but the mute and hang-up buttons do not work. It is disappointing to thing that the helmet will not yet changed a month but, is that what it boils down to? I need a replacement? Any suggestions?

Problem random micro LifeChat LX-3000
I bought the helmet at Christmas and have had no problems until today. I was talking on teamspeak so only ingame of troubleshooting 2 when I noticed that no one could hear me, I looked at and it appeared no sounds through the microphone, I rebooted teamspeak think that's where the problem was, I used the Skype test call and no noise was there. I looked at other threads on this site and tried the techniques, they fixed for 2 minutes, then my microphone cut again, if someone could help I would appreciate it really as voice chat is vital for me. Sorry if this is in the wrong category
Hi EJFinman,
Thank you for visiting the Windows community.
What are the troubleshooting steps you have tried?
In a first step to solving problems, try to configure the Microsoft LifeChat as default playback device.
When you use the Microsoft LifeChat headset, you hear any sound through the loudspeaker.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/935749/en-us
If the above is not enough, you can reinstall the drivers LifeChat LX-3000.
To uninstall the LifeChat software, see this link.

LifeChat lx-3000 Volume controls do not work
Someone please Help! I have this headset for a while now, and everywhere I look online shows the volume controls will change the volume of the headphones but they ewver seems to do is to change the volume of the SYSTEM DEFAULT of the UNIT!
If I'm in a gam that I have to close the game to access mixer helmet from the bar windows task and edit this volume. the only way I can get the headset buttons to change the volume of the headphones is if the headset is set as the system default audio output device. »Surely this is wrong and I should be able to redefine those buttons to change the volume on the mixer LX-3000 NO default mixer? Thanks in advancePykeyCheck these

LifeChat LX-3000 low Volume at startup, requires a reboot
I bought the LifeChat LX-3000 2 weeks, and it worked fine until 2 days ago. Initially, the volume started fluctuating. I restarted the computer, that fixed it. Then the helmet itself set to a very low volume of base, so when the volume control on the PC is in full I can barely hear. To resolve this problem, I had to uninstall the software and the headset to the Device Manager, restart the computer and reinstall. This again once solved the problem. However, the volume is now very low again. I don't want to have to keep restarting just to use the earpiece. Any ideas?
Well, everything seems to work fine now. I think that's not as when I start the computer with the headphones plugged, but thanks for the help, she will keep noted if he plays again up.
