Lightning Calendar continues endangered

Lightning Calendar disappears after updates. Don't know if it's just the updates Thunderbird, lightning updates or both, but it often disappears and won't let me reinstall. The icon disappears. When I look into addons, it is not displayed. When I try to add, I get a message that will be enabled when you restart. When I restart, I get the same message and it is not installed. Just gets stuck in this reboot message loop.

I tried following the instructions in a number of positions to cancel the uninstall, delete profile folders and nothing works. The only thing that seems to work is to remove the calendar information, using something like Mozbackup to save my profile and reinstall Thunderbird. Gets the time some.

Windows 7 and Thunderbird 38.3. It has happened since early August 2015.

Thanks for any help.

Don't know if this solves the problem, but I survived an update by lightning. First saved everything with MozBackup. Completely uninstalled Thunderbird. Reinstalled thunderbird in safe mode and restored profile. Update survived and keep your fingers crossed

The events and tasks of local calendars is stored in the calendar-data/local.sqlite. Information about calendars such as the location and the settings are stored in the prefs.js. < <

    Hi GeorgiaLabudek!

If I'm not mistaken, I understand your playlists in the music app keep endangered and want to download music on the cloud to your iPhone. If that's true, I want you to understand that I can see how frustrating and annoying it can be. I like music, and I can't imagine a day without it. Don't worry, I'll try my best to help you solve your problem in my abilities.

It seems that your songs are endangered, which may be why your playlists can be endangered. I may be wrong on this matter, but I'm going to assume that what you told us. If this is the case I think this Apple support article should help you: download past - shopping load Apple.

Once you have downloaded all your songs back you should be able to create playlists again. I know, even once having to download your songs back may seem inconvenient and a chore, but once they are on your iPhone, you'll be scrambling back to your songs in no time! I was in an experience like you before, and these are the same steps that I took when I had to download songs on my iPhone, so don't worry - you're not the only one who had to do this.

The extent of why your playlists can be disappear I unfortunately here in all honesty that I could give you an exact reason why but the music app is kind of something I've never really understood too. As I said, if my theory is that maybe because your songs were endangered, therefore causing your playlists to disappear. Yet once again, I could be wrong, or I can be right.

However if you still have problems, I recommend that you try to perform these troubleshooting steps to see if they help.

I hope this helps you GeorgiaLabudek!

  • My lightning calendar disappeared from my Thunderbird starting from 01-12-16. Can not find or reinstall it. Have TB 45.5.1 - Lightning is not supposed to be integrated?

I tried to download and open this file: lightning - 4.7.4 - sm + tb - windows.xpi with Thunderbird several times this afternoon without effect. Just tried again, and it works well - is no longer a problem. Thanks anyway. Maybe this will help someone else. Just keep trying to re - install file.

Sorry, no it is not "integrated". He is always implemented as an add-on, the only difference being that it is automatically included in a new download of Installer and there is now a checkbox allowing you to decide if it use or not.

Thus, all the usual tools for adding, removal, activation and deactivation of the modules are still topical.

Open tools | Add - ons, locate lightning, remove it, restart Thunderbird, go to tools | Modules and reinstall Lightning as if it's an add-on on a regular basis.

  • Lightning don't talk to Google Calendar - problem with cookies?

Execution of Thunderbird 31.1.0 with Lightning 1.0 and the module supplier of Google. I maintain four different calendars with google (work room, home, other, conf) account. When I woke up today all my calendars worked. They have been set up in lightning as calendars google network, which stressed their respective links to XML.

All of a sudden this afternoon, without me antics with any of the parameters GCal or lightning, calendars in the sidebar of the lightning stopped to talk with the platform of google calendar. All events always appear in google calendar thin and fine always sync up to my mobile device.

The problem is: the calendars are just sitting and showing the color of the light "synchronized." When I right click on one and try to activate it manually in lightning, it displays a prompt of password for google account. After entering my google login information, returns the window of dialogue: "Oops!" Your browser appears to have cookies disabled. Make sure that cookies are enabled, or try to open a new browser window. "

I can assure you that cookies have been enabled in my Chrome browser settings. Double even checked in Firefox, even though it isn't my default browser, they are activated too. There is no need to change the message "cookies disabled". I went up to erase all data of the chrome, by suggestion of the googles and no dice. Even uninstalled Chrome and re-installed and no luck.

I must be missing something. It shouldn't be so hard to make the switch from cookies and get these programs talk to once again...

    Will be

You must allow cookies for google.com in Thunderbird.

  • Would be useful to have a way to tell if the addons are compatible before installing an update. Lightning is the main concern for us.

Thunderbird updated to 24.5.0 but I need to know with certainty that the Lightning has a compatible version before doing the update. Cannot afford to lose this calendar. When I look at the mozilla lightning site, it shows the current version, the one I use, is compatible with my current Thunderbird 24.4.0,. But the site of lightning indicates the 24-compatible version of lightning has not yet been published. Yes, is this to say that if I update Thunderbird 24.5.0 then the current version of the lightning will not properly work or not at all?

I would like to see an option in the dialog to update Thunderbird that shows me each of my addons, which will be compatible with the new version of Thunderbird, and will not, then I would select update or wait.

    Thank you.

Lightning will continue to work with TB 24.5.0.

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Thunderbird/addon/lightning/

Search for 'Version information' at the bottom of the page.

A corresponding version of Lightning will be available with each major release of Thunderbird. This will be 31 TB sometime later this year.

  • iOS problem 10 Exchange calendar sync

iOS 10 has introduced a bug that causes a problem with Exchange Calendar synchronization. I use an iPhone 5 and an Air iPad with iOS 10.0.2 on both. My employer provides a shared with Office 365 Exchange calendar. I use Outlook 2013 on a Windows 7 laptop. Since I upgraded my iPhone & iPad iOS 10 I met a problem with syncing my calendar. More specifically, when I delete a single instance of a recurring event from my iPhone or iPad, change syncs not on the server and do not appear on my other devices. There is no problem if I remove Outlook on my laptop. I use recurring reminders throughout the day as "to-do's" so not being is not able to remove them from the device is a problem for me.

Based on something I saw in another form, I tried disabling the button "Events found in Apps" in the settings on my iPhone and iPad and then deactivation and reactivation of the Exchange Calendar synchronization. This has not solved the problem.

Is there a fix or a workaround for this problem? If not, does anyone know how I can report it to Apple on the off chance they might care enough to solve the problem?

I have exactly the same problem. Items on my exchange calendar are endangered on my iPhone which is a major issue since I use my phone as my reminder of the main calendar to be in the right place at the right time. This is a serious problem for me. I tried to delete and add the calendar back, putting my phone on and off, nothing works. Now I have even less showing appointments, it is as if he deleted all. I am extremely frustrated.

  • Thunderbird 38.4.0 KILLED MY CALENDAR

  • I stupidly deleted the original calendar on my new email tbird. How can I get that back?

There is an option to download a 'Lightning' calendar, but I prefer to return to the original schedule, which was on the mail server, when I started using it about 2 weeks ago.

You have seen this calendar in Thunderbird? Then it's lightning. If it has been published and you did nothing in particular for work, then it is local, not online.

If you've seen the calendar in your browser, then it will be online.

I suggest just "Download" you or re - install Lightning and see if it was the thing you saw earlier. If it isn't, delete it, nothing is lost.

Tools | Add - ons | Extensions of. If Lightning is listed, try it the reactivation. I expect to tell you if there is an update.

If it is not mentioned, simply type the lightning in the search box at top right of the window modules, press return, choose from the list shown modules you.

  • How to synchronize the timing of lightning on computers on Windows 7 with Dropbox?

I got the lightning calendar in one of my PC. I would like to copy this calendar on another PC and keep them sync smoothly. How can I achieve this? BTW, I use Windows 7, 38.2.0 of Thunderbird and Lightning 4.0.2.1.

Say, thunderbird is installed in one of your computers. So, the question is, how you can sync lightning to another pc? Here's the answer...

-to the lightning that is easily accessible:
-menu thunderbird open = > in the menu tasks and events, export the calendar as ics to dropbox file
    -* menu thunderbird open = > new message = > calendar = > network = > select ics = > enter the location in the format file:///c:/folder1/folder2/Home.ics

-in the pc you want to transfer the lightning
    -install the module of lightning
    -remove calendar home
-do step in * for this lightning so

After doing these steps once, changes in your calendar will be automatically synchronized on every computer.

  • Why the clock on my calendar seems to be working at the time of the West Coast, while my ThunderBird is defined and works well at the time of the coast is?

    Ladies and gentlemen:

I recently started using Calendar add-on to Thunderbird. My test event entered okay. But, my invite showed up on my colleague's PC with meeting time 3 hours late. That is, my meeting time is 11:00 Eastern time. But, he got the time as 14:00 which was 11:00 West coast time. I checked my "Calendar" tab view. There is a tell-tale sign that a red horizontal line that appears to follow my PC's real time clock but lagging 3 hours behind. So far, I could not find how to synchronize them.

My PC was used on the West coast for several years before I brought it to the East coast a few months ago. Since then, my Thunderbird appears to run fine with the clock setting changed to the East coast time zone. Could there be any kind of memory somewhere that took my numerical 11:00, but recorded it by tagging as a West coast time zone entry?

    Abe (2015-10-11 11:54)

Make sure that you do not have the correct time zone set lightning (calendar).

In the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button > Options > Options > calendar > general tab > zone
