I am owner of a mid-range Mac Mini 2014. I m wondering if she is able to properly run the lightroom. Its upgrade of my 2009 iMac which was not able to use lightroom.

I have a few late 2014 Mac Mini running 10.10.5 and other mini once a week or so would just restart itself couple of times during the morning and then would be perfect for a week or two. I checked the updates ran Etrecheck and deleted or fixed in red, rebuilt permissions, rebooted in safe mode and then restart, reset the SMC. Not sure what is the cause and how to decipher the crash logs. Someone from Apple can decipher it for me?

2014 mac mini can play a sound in my sound bar?
Hello and thanks in advance. I use my Mac mini to 2014 as a HTPC, I'm having the hardest time trying to get my mini play sounds through my bar of the Harmon Kardon SB16. Currently I have the mini connected via HDMI to the tv and optical ranging from the soundbar in tv. Works great, but my goal is to control the volume using the keyboard instead of using the TV remote. I tried the optical toslink cable from the soundbar in 3.5 mm jack at the rear of the changed mini settings in sound through system suggestions as well as the MIDI parameters in the application in utilities. In the system prefs it shows optical but no master volume and needless to say, not only no sound. I thought that the 3.5 mm jack plug served as a helmet and s/pdif digital output. Do I need a DAC converter any to have this capability? I was looking in the Music Streamer technologies of high resolution of THS lll I called audio shops I found online and all said call Apple that I find strange, given that many people use Mac/PC for the sound through stereo receivers. The soundbar has several types of connection coaxial, fiber optics and source 1 rca red white. I think that this is possible only with a stereo receiver. Sorry for my ignorance on this, but I'm at my wits end, trying to find a solution. My bar of his 2.1 has amazing sound and not looking forward to buying a receiver to have this feature.

You can. Looks like sound bar has an analog connection (source a) with a connection to the left and to the right. All you need is to get a cable with on one side a Jack 3.5 mm to connect the headset to your mini. And the other side 2 taken. One to connect to each Source 1 connections. That should do it

Can I connect my Mac Mini 2011 my end of 2014 Mac Mini using Thunderbold cable to double the RAM?
My Mac Mini end of 2014 cannot add everything exceeds 8 GB RAM cable.

Can I change HD SSD in my end of 2014 Mac Mini?
I just bought a Mac Mini (2.6/8/1TB) 2014 end and love it so far. I have a spare Samsung 500 GB SSD (Samsung SSD 840 EVO) that I don't use and I was curious if readers could be exchanged, or better still if the Mac Mini I would be compatible 2 discs? I'd do the boot drive SSD and drive the data reader to say existing 1 TB.
I would need to bring it in a place (MicroCenter, Best Buy, etc.) to make it happen as I'm not comfortable to perform this type of upgrade on an Apple product. I realize that the guarantee may be honored after that and I'm fine with that.
All the words of wisdom? Can it be done? If this is not the case with my SSD existing so what are my options?

Apple tv remote and my mac mini
I have recently set up a TV and use it for my mac mini, as well as my apple tv. The apple TV remote seems to exploit both the apple tv and mac mini. I'm trying to find a way to stop the operation of the mac mini remote control. I matched the remote with apple TV, but it still seems to cause of my mac mini leave the sleep and open iTunes so I'm trying to browse my apple tv apps and look at something.

If you don't want to use a remote control with your computer, the best thing to do is just turn off the IR. (System preferences > Security > general, click on the Advanced button in the lower right corner - if the button is dimmed, click the lock icon and enter your administrators password)
If you want to continue using your remote computer, then you must match your remote computers with the computer AND the Apple TV remote with Apple TV.
To match a remote control with a device hold down menu and FF buttons together for six seconds or until you see an icon of the chain on screen (better take the computer in another room, or turn it off, when you do)

I have a Mac Mini with an Airport extreme card. I wish I had a better reception and I thougt about connecting an old WET54G on my ethernet port and switch to him of the Airport card.
When I try to access the WET54G utility with the IP 192.168.1.226 it doen't work.
Maybe I should install a driver, but there does not appear to be any for Apple OSX.

Recently purchased a Mac Mini and use it on my WRT320N wireless which I configured with a PC running XP. It works very well with the PC and has been since I ordered a few months ago. The Mac connects wireless; However, not feeling unwell. It takes up to 6 hours to download a file that only takes normally no more than 45 minutes to download it with the PC. It seems to be downloading for 5 seconds and then just sitting there for 10 seconds, up and down all the time.

Looks like your router is fine if the part of Windows works well. Looks like that the side Mac is not quite the same way as the part of Windows to install. If you haven't tried it yet, try to make a new 'place' on the Mac side and see if that helps. I think that I read on other forums about the connections of the weird problems and do not 'take', it seemed to work for some preliminary questions Macs with connections as well as.

l have a 2014 mini Mac I used Bootcamp to install Windows 7. However it is unable to boot into OSX or Win7 institutionalized. The whole system crashing or hanging? If Yes, which is not an application, but it is very likely to be caused by faulty hardware. Unfortunately, I don't have much advice to give you else make sure you have a proper forum for IT. From my experience, the bad speaker will make the difference in whether or not the Mac recognizes the SSD on initialize toward the top.
