• The VRAM/GPU may be improved/changed on my iMac?

  I have an iMac 27 "i5 2.7 Ghz 4 GB ram 1 TB of storage and an AMD Radeon HD 6770 M with 512 MB of VRAM mid 2011.

  I know that Aries is easily extensible and I intend to upgrade.

  But I want to upgrade the 512 MB at least 1 GB of VRAM weeny.

  Is it possible to store service apple will do this or is there another company that can do it for me because I've heard to wear some gloves and do things really technical to change the gpu and vram.

  If it didn't look so hard I order another GPU to dv warehouse and install it myself.

  Hi all

  I am a hobby photographer (has a Nikon D750) and I am interested in buying an iMac 27 inches 5 k for Lightroom and Photoshop. What configuration should I I look to ensure a reasonable return (IE not freezing regularly)? I have seen the system requirements on the Adobe site but I gave will spend at least 3 k, I want not a computer that allows you to simply manage it but I don't want no exaggeration either. Regardless of the generation, I'll take the 16 GB of RAM, but I'm not too sure of i5 vs i7 and AMD R9 M380 vs M390 vs M395 performance when it comes to Lightroom and Photoshop. I usually update every 3 years or so, so I want a machine that will comfortably see me through overspending without I I don't know there is something even better in 2018-2019. I currently own a 2011 basic configuration end 13 inch, Macbook Pro and other than the magnificent 5 k screen, it's only the performance of Photoshop and Lightroom that are really convince me to level because it is always a great computer daily task.

  eventhought it spinned in windows.

  When I turn on the pc two fans that the processor and the fan GPU continue until I connect to linux and then the GPU of the fan stops... and the GPU GET VERY HIGH TEMPERATURE

  Use the following command to get information from the ACPI:
  dmesg | grep - I have fan

  From my point of view of the rare, the fans are controlled by ACPI and this allows to work with the BIOS to monitor the temperature of the core.

  The different distributions like Debian or Ubuntu Linux supports a fancontrol script (the latter can be downloaded separately) that can be configured to handle the speed of the fan.

  In addition I would also recommend to upgrade the Linux kernel if possible.

  It supports up to 8 GB of memory and the processor can be upgraded to a 10 - 4600M. Here is the Manual:

  There is no video card to upgrade, but for the models of series AMD A video is contained in the processor itself and an upgrade of the processor also carries with it an upgrade for HD 7640 G HD 7660 G video. It's light but a bit noticeable and clock speed go from 2.8 ghz to 3.2 ghz, which is not huge but noticeable. Memory is a DDR3-1600 module, and you can replace your 2 gig with a 4 gig to spend 6 to 8.

  Memory upgrade is as easy as... CPU/APU don't upgrade not so much.

  What happens, when you try that? You get an error message? If so, what error?

  Opening 3.6 works well with Yosemite 10.10.5.

  My desktop running Win7 Home Premium m9200T computer crashes often.  It seems to be associated with temperature.

  I tried SpeedFan, but my computer crashed whenever I ran it.  The SpeedFan 20 window scroll a few lines of text that the computer crashed.  Y at - it a utility to monitor the speed, temperature and cpu/gpu for desektop m9200T fan?

• Lightroom and Canon DPP 4.5

  Perfecting a new workflow for my images. I would like to import my. Raw CR2 files in lightroom unaltered, scroll and cull those I don't want to use the features of bright rooms. I find Lightroom excellent functionality and I am used to it.

  So, ideally, I would like to deal with, or have the option of treatment, in DPP rather than Lightroom raw files. I can use lightroom development module rather (will do my own experiences), but as the ability to use both Canon. I would like to make the same way I use photoshop, i.e. "change in" and have put in place for that DPP. Unfortunately, when I try to put in place, I don't get the option to send the raw (.cr2) PPD files. The only options are .jpg, .tiff, etc.. Of course DPP deals only raw files, so I'm stuck.

  Once the raw files are processed, I can refine it into Photoshop as you wish.

  If I understand now, I can shoot files in lightroom and then must open DPP separately to make my raw editing, then translate the in lightroom to backup the database and end in photoshop, if necessary. I do a lot of panos pictures of sew and this workflow seems to be a pain / redundant.

  Someone there suggestions in how to do?

  That you have discovered, a workflow using Lightroom and Canon DPP on RAW images won't be good at all. These software are not designed to work with one another (the opposite of LR and Photoshop, which are designed to work together).

  So, since you asked for suggestions, my suggestion is not what you want to hear, but nevertheless it is my suggestion: don't do this. Do all the work in LR, or all the work in the DPP, but not a combination of both. You will save a huge amount of time and frustration.
