    Hey Clarke,

Please make sure that you have installed graphic drivers up-to-date.

Also try to disable the use of the graphics processor to Edit > preferences > Performance > uncheck "use graphics Processor.

If it doesn't let you uncheck the option then

    Go to C:\Users\Your ursername\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences

Note:-Appdata is a hidden folder. (Make sure that you have hidden files and folder unchecked in)

    Folder options)

Right-click on the Preferences.agprefs 6 Lightroom file, open the file in a text editor.

close to the end, there is a line that says useAutoBahn = true,

Change that to useAutoBahn = false,

Save the file and close it

  • Lightroom crash very often (Windows 7)

Recently, every time I open Lightroom and try to do whatever it is developing, the program stops responding and needs to close. I'm running on Windows 7-64 bits, with 16 GB of RAM. Photoshop, however, is quite well. I never had performance problems (slow but manageable speed brushes, etc.) with Lr.

Any suggestions as to what I can adjust to fix this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jacob

If you cannot launch Lightroom or Lightroom crashes before you can uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" you can disable this preference manually by following these steps:

    1. Stop Lightroom
    2. Go to %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs
[appdata is hidden by default: press the windows and the keys r to open run and type %appdata%\microsoft\windows\sendto, then follow the path shown]
    3. Open the Preferences.agprefs 6 Lightroom file in TextEdit
    4. Change the following line: useAutoBahn = true to the useAutoBahn next = false
    5. Save and close the file Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs
    6. Restart Lightroom CC/6
  • CC of Photoshop updater always crashes on WIndows 7, saying "finished".... ».

CC of Photoshop updater always crashes on Windows 7, saying "finished".... ». Does not help restart. Whatever the initial cause of this condition, is it possible to reset the State of the installer, so that it can try again from the beginning?

As suggested, I've resorted to uninstall/reinstall Photoshop CC (2014) to solve the problem. It seems a bit of a sledge hammer approach, but it did not take too long.

As for the original cause of the problem, it may be associated with the fact that I also have Photoshop elements 11 is installed. I was able to recreate a similar problem when you try to update bridge CC. During installation, the update has complained that "ElementsAutoAnalyzer" was in running and (once this had been arrested) the update was not recovered successfully. I think it's the same thing during the update of Photoshop CC. Strange that I've never had this problem before, though - it's just the latest update which caused the problem.

  • Lightroom 6 crashes on Windows 10

It happens quite often, about every 5 minutes. Accidents happen also when I move between modules library and develop. Can someone help me on this please?

    Hi Allen,.

Please open run dialog box by pressing Windows key + R.

    Type %AppData%

    And then click OK.

Then double click on Adobe > Lightroom > Preferences.

    Rename Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs to old. Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs

    Thank you

You will need to disable the graphic processor out of Lightroom.

    First of all, close Lightroom.

[With Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Users\[your username] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences

Open the Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs file in a text editor such as Notepad.

Close to the end of the file there is a line that says useAutoBahn = true, - change that to useAutoBahn = false,

Save and close the file. Now, launch Lightroom - the GPU will be switched off.

I've seen it maybe is a way to disable the graphics driver. But I prefer not to do so because it will slow down my work, and I tell myself that I have a compatible card it should work.

I would be grateful for any suggestions! Thank you.

Unless you have one of the new monitors high resolution, the graphics processor is only to show the very minimal performance improvements (if any). Although you would not rather turn off the graphics processor in Lightroom, this is the solution. If you want to use Lightroom, do. Your other alternative is to ensure that you have the latest driver for your graphics card. If this does not resolve the problem then you should consider installing another card.

  • Just upgraded to 42.0 Firefox and background color setting doesn't work anymore - an empty window is always white.

I just upgraded to Firefox 42.0 and, unlike previous versions, the setting of background color in 'Content' no longer works. In the settings page, the indicator 'Background colour' changes the color I choose (not white) in the choice of color theme, but each time I open an empty window background color is always white. Then, when I return to the Setup page to verify that the indicator still shows the color that I chose. And I have check the box 'Use the system color' or not there are tick, the result remains the same: the background color of an empty window is always white.

It is a problem I've never met before. I would like to know why.

    Thanks for any help.

You can make only one rule:

    @-moz-document url(about:blank), url(about:newtab){ html,body {background-color: #ccc !important } }
