Lightroom crashes when I click on Preferences or System Info (MAC)

Hello

I'm on OS X El capitan with Lightroom 6.4, whenever I tried a few items such as preferences or system info menu, it crashes immediately, already tried played with plist file/create an another catalog/disable acceleration GPU etc, still same problem, can someone advise?

Well, I don't know what exactly gave permission to read/write what should you and what files are needed. Here's what I did: uninstalled the Lightroom, deleted all files with the name of adobe in there, restart, then reinstalled the Lightroom, and it finally works.

I copied on my iTunes from my old laptop folder, downloaded and installed iTunes, but when I click on edit > Preferences it completely freezes and has to be stopped in the Task Manager. I tried to reinstall iTunes, I tried to delete the old library files and preferences in the folder iTunes and then reinstalling iTunes. It happens again every time. The laptop is brand new, this shouldn't really happen.

  • GFWL sign mistakenly 8015403A - crashes when I click on "solve".

Bought Resident Evil 5 on Steam, not knowing that I have to go through GWFL just to play online. Then in game, I hit the House, connected, it downloaded my profile then an update. It restarted the game, I'm registered, then you download my profile and update again. Repeat 3 more times. I went to the GWFL site and downloaded the customer market. Tried to connect and got the message in the title: "there is a problem with your account, you must resolve before connect you." But when I click on "solve", it crashes. I am registered on the account now, what's wrong with GWFL?

EDIT: so, apparently I had to accept the terms of use update. I guess that the client not crashing when I clicked 'solve' would have told me that.

OK, I came across this just seconds before, seeing as no Microsoft REP worries enough to check it out for us. It's here: you go to direct customer of your window and launch the application (start-> all programs-> Games for Windows Live) and then choose the option second from the bottom on the left, 'Create New Account' (I know you have one already, trust me). Equip your email for Games for Windows Live and press enter (click on connection). It says e-mail has already count, then connection and he will say: "You must update your confidentiality agreement," and give you a link. Enjoy!

  • Lightroom crashed if I open the preferences

I have a problem with my Lightroom. Lightroom crashed if I open catalog preferences. It is a catalogue, and I try to reinstall completely LR and cloud.

    Hi jsm,

You can change preferences outside of the Lightroom.

    Please follow the Solution below

    1. Go to edit > preference > Performance > uncheck "processor chart use" If this does not solves the problem then,
    2. With Lightroom closed
    • Access

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences    (Where AppData is a system folder / hidden so you may need to enter the name of the folder directly into your browser's address bar or activate hidden folders / system in the Internet Explorer view folder options.)

    • Open the file LightroomPreferences.agprefs
    • Locate the line use = True autobahn (press CTRL + F)

    Hello world

I am trying to learn through step-by-step to a youtube tutorial that follows.

My legacy crashed whenever I click the pipette.

I followed the procedure to change the color of the massif of the same color of the text.

I clicked on the pipette and a crash log command prompt saying the project is saved in my repertoire.

    Then my program crashed.

The same thing happens to someone else?

How can I choose the color even if I can't use the pipette then?

That brings another question, sequelae as unstable as flash? In terms of program crash.

CS5 is not supported on modern operating systems. This means that you will occasionally receive weird bugs. This is one of them. It is usually fixed when entering your AE preferences and change the option use System Color Picker (or something like that).

  • Lightroom crashes when opening Modual develop.

I used LR3, LR4 and LR5 Desktop for years now without problems. I have just subscribed to photography CC and now I have problems.  First of all, Lightroom CC is overall much slower than LR5.7. However, the main problem is when I try to open the modal development, about 25% of the time, LR freezes / crashes and I have to close and reopen.  When LR reopens, it opens a different folder and the photo, because now I'm back to using LR 5,7 I have to do and don't have the time to deal with issues like this, this. I am very disappointed so far. Hope it is fixable with a minimum of fuss. Don't like pay them money for a product that does not work properly. Normally I would have just upgraded to LR 6 of office, but I don't found no upgrade pricing available so I feel like I was obliged in cc must PS.as I use On1 Photo 10, which is more than enough for my needs.  So why go at all?  Well because that Adobe don't give me the latest profiles lens and camera with LR5.7.

    Hi garybi,

    • Please, go to the Windows, where Device Manager, expand display adapters.
    • Turn off the graphics card and open Lightroom, go to Lightroom preferences, then the performance tab, and then uncheck the option "use graphics processor.
    • Lightroom farm and go back to Device Manager and activate the graphic card.
    • Open Lightroom and then work in Lightroom and check if it works very well.

  • Firefox crashes when double clicking on a particular bookmark toolbar button.

Every now and then I accidentally double click on one of my bookmarks toolbar buttons. It would hang Firefox (v 37.0.2) and required a force entirely to escape (OS X 10.10.3).) This happens quite often it became boring.

I eliminated this crash when I discovered I had a bookmark for "all bookmarks" entry in the bookmark button, I was clicking. It would seem that this probably caused an infinite loop? I removed the "all bookmarks" entry and Firefox no longer crashes.

It's kind of a nit-picking bug, but I thought I would realize it just in case someone else is as frustrated as I was.

I love Firefox, so "Keep up the good work" to the Firefox team.

It's kind of a nit-picking bug, but I thought I would realize it just in case someone else is as frustrated as I was.

The problem is that when you had a copy of "All bookmarks" in a folder "All bookmarks" you can create a loop forever in some of the editing operations, crash Firefox bookmark.

Because it crashes when you do this, the obvious solution is to not do this.

So, my intention was to point out that such an operation can cause a problem but I was not looking for a solution, because I simply won't. Given that I was not really a question, I think that it maybe wasn't the right place to make such a report.

In any case, now that I know what was causing my plant, I now turn to this problem is resolved.

  • Red dot that closes an application becomes black and crashes when you click

If I use a mouse Mighty Mouse or Magic Mouse or Magic Mouse 2, the small red candy that closes an application frequently darkens when I click it. It freezes the app. I can still move the mouse cursor, but nothing else open or close until I click on the desktop, then click again on red gumdrop for the APP. This happens on all sorts of applications, Apple and third parties. It happens almost every time, but not always.

This started after I've upgraded to a new trio of Apple keyboard, mouse, and trackpad with rechargeable batteries. I used a Mighty Mouse Wireless before getting the Magic Mouse 2. Because the edges of the Magic Mouse 2 literally cause my fingers hurt, for a while, I used the two mice. Maybe two mouse active at the same time have caused the problem. I looked everywhere in my library to the appropriate to throw files user preferences, but it left me speechless. I even tried resetting the PRAM and SMC resets.

This behavior has migrated to a second iMac when I used Migration Assistant to import my main user account to the new machine. This machine's human interface devices are an Apple wired aluminum keyboard and a wired Mighty Mouse. So I'm sure it's a corrupted preferences file, but I don't know which.

The two iMacs are 27 "(end-2012 and the end of 2013), and both are running macOS El Capitan 10.11.5 with all the updates."

Any ideas on what is happening or how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to "Force quit" the app (s) affected as and when the problem occurs, followed by a reboot?

If the mice are sitting close to each other they are likely to interfere, although the button color change is not something that I've met before.   Disconnect the old mouse because only Magic Mouse 2 will work correctly with El Capitan.

  • Crash when you click some links (I crash report #)

FF hangs when you click on a link (sometimes random links, but can be reproduced reliably). It happened when trying to submit the issue of the accident.

    Easy way to reproduce:

Scroll to the end of the article, click on the link to "" more information is available on: http://www.microtransat.org/".

    Which should cause the crash.

Alternative method (if you want a reliable site):

Ask a question of accident on this website (mozilla), click on "Click here for detailed instructions" in the "Crash IDs" section.

    Insta-crash every time.

Reinstalling FF, did the trick! I even used my old profile and it works very well.

It seems that the latest update of FF corrupt something.

Thanks for the help! I don't honestly think a reinstall would fix anything, as it rarely does. Here, it's rare treats!

    Thank you all!
