Lightroom photogalleries in cropped in Firefox.

I created a number of galleries with LR and then introduced into existing web pages in my web site. While the galleries work fine in Chrome and IE, there is a problem with the Firefox browser. The photos show but during the expansion of the photo it's cropped and so that part of it is shown. I tried inserting the image using the two an Iframe and as an object/embed, same result, fine in Chrome and IE but each photo cropped in Firefox.

Any solution to this?

The embedded page uses certain rules of style to override the behavior of the normal display. Probably there are aesthetic reasons, why I'm not aware of, but cumulatively, they cause the div elements around the image to ignore the setting of width of 100%.

(1) #loupeContainer div.image - container {display: table}

The tables are inherently extensible and will be expanded to fit their content despite a width: 100% except if this rule is also defined:

table-layout:fixed

(2) #loupeContainer div.image - container div.image {display: table-cell}

Same as #1, but the fixed rule must be on the item display: table.

(3) #loupeContainer div.corners {display: inline-block}

The image is not reduced to adjust when it becomes the default display of the inline-block block

What intrigues me is that it works outside the iframe, i.e. autonomous open in a separate tab. I think my only solution would be to shorten the height of the iframe is more than a form of 4:3 as a form of 1:1.

  • 4.4 Lightroom for Mac - crop tool bug

    In Lightroom for Mac 4.4, there is a bug with the crop tool. The aspect ratio becomes unlocked (bulk) when you change the orientation of the tool with the mouse, is not possible to crop an image by keeping a selected image format.

    Adobe will fix this yet in version 4? I don't want to upgrade to LR 5.

    No, there will be no further updates of LR4, even if it's a guess on my part, based on the fact that Adobe have never done that in the past, whenever a new version is released.

    However, the solution is simple... the 'X' button to change the orientation. Faster and works correctly.

  • Someone had problems with Firefox content embedded catalyst cropping?

    I created two Web sites with catalyst by simply using the HTML code provided by the catalyst, and both sites get cropped in Firefox but fine display in Internet Explorer.  If I expand the height and width in the HTML then it works in Firefox but not in IE.

    I actually had something similar happen to me recently, where I was watching a Flex application in Firefox and it became suddenly cropped after my fingers brushed the trackpad on my Mac. It turned out that I had accidentally performed a gesture of "zoom in", and it seems that 'Zoom' on a page generated by catalyst simply causes the application to get cropped (and not put on the scale). The problem was "sticky" in this future pages in the same tab or tabs had the same problem (because Firefox keeps the zoom factor of the current page). View > Zoom > Reset (or Ctrl/Cmd-0) fixed the problem.

    Is it possible that either has happened?

  • Import of sequences of images to adapt to 1080 p video layer

    Very new to Photoshop and Lightroom so forgive me if it's made clear... but I exported hand drawn animation of images from Lightroom and their import in the form of sequences of image in Photoshop and can't seem to get the right size to fit the preset HD1080p video layer. I exporting photos from Lightroom to the same 1920 x 1080 pixel dimensions and the sequence of images always comes out smaller than the size of the canvas. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

    OK, the thing is this - when you export your image from Lightroom, you have it set on "Resize to fit" 1920 x 1080. This means that the image will be enlarged or shrunk as much the current report width / height image (no stretch) to fit in the dimensions list. Apparently, your image isn't "in shape" 1920 x 1080. It appears to be from a camera, which probably has a 4:3 aspect ratio. Lightroom is not crop or stretch the image, it just enlarges or reduces evenly so that it fits in the dimensions.

    To solve the problem, go to the Lightroom Develop Module and choose the Crop Tool (R). Then, change the size of the harvest up to 1920 x 1080 (16: 9), and you will see immediately that part of your image will have to be trimmed to fit the desired shape:

    Once your image is cut in the shape of 16:9 aspect ratio, the export will completely fill the frame and images will be the full 1920 x 1080 as you hear it.

    I can see your illustrations you might be sacrificing some important parts of the image to crop. It's a sad reality while you work in different proportions. It is always profitable start your work with the image format you want to use for the final production - if you know in advance what will be.

  • Export of the loss of quality JPEG print module?

    Dear Sirs,

    I'm waiting for some time now to be able to use the print module in Lightroom as a tool for exporting jpeg implemented too (just like Facebook or covers of layouts blog etc.), just like I can do it by using third-party applications, such as Blogstomp.

    Unfortunately, every time I check and try to do the steps to LR 'trick' to do this (piracy of sizes, dimensions and dpi to match my necessary final size in pixels), I find that if I exported the same image through the normal export Panel and the print module, the file has a much lower quality. It seems almost more compressed, with a worse aspect of sharpening.

    I want to bring this matter to the attention of the developers because it would be great to do not to leave LR even to create simple presentations to use on the web with the same visual quality of the other exporting options.

    We are next to a great potential of the print module, imho.

    Thank you

    Best,

    Sandra

  • Cropping in Lightroom presets bug

    My client wants me to crop their images to 2600 x 2000 pixels. When I try to define this relationship like Lightroom preset cropping it will not allow him. Instead it by default 8.5 x 11, which translates processed 2600 x 2009 pixel, image sizes or 2588 x 2000 pixels.

    This vagueness cropping is very annoying because I have to spend time re-crop my images processed using a Photoshop action to the specifications requested my client.

    This bug occurs also with many other cropping ratios if they are close (but not the same) as the existing Lightroom presets of harvest. You can solve this problem? I think it is a serious failure that Lightroom CAN create images at certain specified dimensions.

    Kind regards

    Hello; I use Lightroom 6 on a PC with a compatible GPU. I can't get the crop tool to operate; by using the drop-down menu 'tools', or on the icon of the culture in the module 'development '.  After you have selected or other crop choices and after having checked the selection "grid", I get no response in the image that indicates that the tool works.  When I click on a selection and try using the cursor, the image increases or decreases without cropping.  When I watch videos on how to reframe, I scrupulously the instructions; still can not crop!  What the heck is the problem?

    Hi MrKodee,

    Please, try the following steps to solve the problem.

    Try resetting the preferences of Lightroom.

    Press the option for Mac and shift + Alt + Shift keys of Windows immediately after you restart Lightroom and select Preferences reset in the dialog box.

    If the steps above did not help, then try to disable the graphic processor of Lightroom preferences.

    Open Lightroom

    Go to Lightroom preferences in the Edit menu

    Click the performance tab

    Deselect the graphics processor

    Restart Lightroom.

    Let us know if that helps.

  • In Lightroom, how you specify crop and resoiultion?

    I'm relatively new to Lightroom.  Am a photographer of football.  I used standard PhotoShop 10 years.  With it, using the navigation bar, I could easily specify an exact cropped to the image size (for example, 5 x 7 ", 8 x 10") AND resolution (for example, 300 dpi).  I know how to crop in Lightroom, but not in a specific size and know not how to specify my desired resolution.  Thanks for any help!  JG

    Hi Johng,

    Lightroom allows you to crop according to the aspect ratio, but not of a specific size.
