  You really need a little more information such as operating system, memory, etc.

  Usually a mistake like this happens because a background process is running and interfere with the available RAM, not enough virtual memory (Windows), drivers of HW obsolete or just an incomplete installation.

  Or, one of the biggest problems is add-ons in internet browsers.

  I have had to face since I started using Lightroom. Pictures import without a problem, but many pictures show no preview in the import screen and when I select ADD, or even copy. nothing happens. I've left overnight, I cancelled the service etc etc and overtime, Lightroom is made insensitive! I see that many other people have similar problems. I am really keen to use Lightroom, but at the same time I pay for anything, because it does not work properly. I at least want a refund for the period of time that Lightroom does not. Feeling extremely frustrated.

  I could not import new images into Lightroom 5 on a brand new Macbook Pro.  Lightroom 4 works fine, but the new Creative Cloud Lightroom 5 says that the images are unreadable.  The folks at Adobe have yet to be able to understand by phone and I find myself waiting for too long.  The images will be important in IPhoto so no problem. All are of the FIRST.

  You must check in the Finder using get info (command-I). Make sure that the destination you set in Lightroom has permission to write to you. Also check that the destination is really in the right place and not trying to write to a folder root on your main hard drive or something like double.

  This error is usually visible when the computer does not have the correct version of iTunes to support the iPhone and iOS 10.0.1/2. The iPhone on iOS 10.0.1 requires the latest version of iTunes, 12.5.1, that on a Mac, requires OS X 10.9.5 or more.

  As mentioned above, Lightroom does not use the ACR PlugIn but it integrated into the application so s Lightroom download is necessary.

  This is because more than likely than external is formatted in format Windows NTFS and you had a utility installed in your earlier version of Mac OS X that could write in NTFS formatted disks and the update of El Capitan deleted this utility. OS X can read NTFS disks natively, but impossible to write in this format. You must update this utility a version that works with El Capitan.

  OK... something to try...

  Connect the camera to the computer via a USB cable and
  Turn on the camera.

  Reach... Start / computer / removable devices
  Storage...

  Look at the drive letters and see if one of them
  represents the camera. He can say removable disk
