  We had this Pavilion a6760y PC for about a week.  None of the software recognize the CD.  The device manager says that it can not load the disk due to a problem and gives an error 39.

  We followed the steps to delete upper and lower filters in registry as described in the HP troubleshooting guide.  Since Device Manager has always said that it cannot load the driver, I hesitate to go further - any suggestions?

  (1) make sure you have deleted filters down to the registry.

  After that DON 'T restart the pc immediately.

  (2) uninstall the driver for the disc drive which shows in yellow code 39 of Device Manager.

  Very important step.

  Go to step 3.

  (3) now, you restart the computer.

  (4) when you connect wait until 3 minutes and windows must be reinstalled the driver of rear disc and hopefully it should work.

• LightScribe dvd writer/burner does not

  I have a PC HP Pavilion Media Center with windows 64 Bit the CDRom 8Pro OS, it works very well, but the dvd burner does not work. Massage appears asking me to put a cd in the unit, even if there is already in the drive.  Device Manager acknowledges the two discs and a convenience store can not detect potential failures. Information System also recognizes readers.  The names of drive information dvd writer the C:\windows\system32\drivers\cdrom.sys drive as my system is 64 bit, this could be the problem and if so, how do I fix it?

  Sorry, but the last I knew the Lightscribe technology was not Compatible with Windows 8.0/8.1. I don't know of anyone who has managed to get this working. Hope this helps and if you need any additional aid station and we will be happy to help you.

  Hi, I have a laptop Toshiba SA20-S103. I decided to change my combo drive DVD - RW drive, so I bought the Toshiba DVD - RW SD-R6572M drive with LightScribe technology. Unfortunately, it doesn't work! When I put my new DVD - RW drive in the laptop it doesn't start t! It also doesn t start if there is no drive inside the laptop (no HARD disk activity)! I put my old combo drive and the laptop works properly.
  What should I do to make them work together? The BIOS updates are required?
  I think it's strange, but my BIOS is really simple, that I can't change anything. I'm only able to choose laptop startup disk (press F12).

  Well, it seems that you have purchased a DVD player is not compatible. Not all readers are supported on this notebook because of the assignment of pins.

  I have a P6310 with Nvidia 9100 video card, and it is trolling intermittently during the game.  I had the intention to upgrade the video card and power supply, but am not sure what type of video card to search.  Should I look to the PCIe, PCI or AGP?

  Excellent choice for the ATI 5750 1 GB.  It is also a low-power card 18-86 watts. The ITA, it will take a power connector, but the new power supply should have what you need.

  I recently bought a Mac Pro and I am trying to transfer files from my hard drive mini 1 TB of G technology itself. The files came from a backup who was recently transferred to my 2011 macbook pro. I tried using cord USB 3.0 for the Mac Pro doesn't have a firewire plugs, but it does not recognize my hard drive. The hard drive is not showing any signs of work because I don't hear the fans turn on the player. The hard drive connects perfectly to my macbook pro via firewire, so should I buy a bolt of lightning for this firewire adapter? I really hope that I don't need to buy a new external, but I'd love to hear a few options for this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.
