Thanks for the pointer to Steve.  I found a similar problem on Dell Support Forums.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3519/p/19348982/19759614.aspx

The question I have is exactly the same as described in this article.  And it is not that it is a matter of FireWire 1394. Something is causing random pixelation during capture.  Loss varies... sometimes more and sometimes less.

The research I've done seems to support this conclusion, but judge for yourself.

Root cause: The original 1394 Ricoh (speed = 400) had a problem with Win 7 because it is more than likely designed for Win XP.

They continued the expedition Ricoh chipset when Windows 7 is released.  There was data loss, but error kept checking it works well.

However, the video is where the problem arose.  Another problem common is that the sound will drop out.

Solution: Buy a card with a TI (Texas devices) chipset.  There are a few 3rd party drivers on the market, but most does not work or works intermittently.

I bought a PC Express card for the laptop card.  (Part of Belkin FireWire 800 #F5U514) and I had to get a new PIN 9 bilingual cable 4 pin 1394.  It comes with a CD containing the driver 1394 TI.

Blown inside and everything has worked out very well.   No more video loss and it works perfectly.

Side note: the reason for which the core duo has worked is I upgraded the USB/Firewire combo card last year that (I think it is inner PCI combo from Frys that uses the driver VIA 1394 OHCI compliant) after a little research I found there is also a TI Chipset.

OPINIONS: I was tempted to buy the combo USB/FireWire version of this map.  However, after some research, I discovered that it is only a map of 400 speed. It should work, but the faster speed is certainly worth and they are at the same price.  Also while I was in the store, I noticed that half of the stock had been opened and returned.  Now I understand why :-)

Wanted to just follow and document this here in case anyone else has this problem.  It took me weeks to solve.

  • Draw the line or point to a specific pixel on the image

    Hi all

I have an image in 8-bit grayscale, I extracted the Image column indeces who have defects. I need to mark the defective pixels with an indication of line or a point on the image. Can anyone suggest me how to go to that topic.

    Hello

first of all, I do not know how to interpret 'column clues', but in the entrance to overlay you pass it as a coordinated 'y' - it should be "indices of lines? You use image rotation?

Secondly, why you pass an array empty for loop for coordinates 'x '? So that the oval of overlay to work, you must enter valid "x, y" coordinates of the location of the oval.

    Best regards

  • Adding a double layer of a line drawing makes lines look more dark / thickest. The more layers, the thicker the lines themselves.

I draw the picture of drawing line type "Cartoon", with a size of pressure brush hard. When I duplicate the layer to place over it, the lines appear darker and thicker. The more times I copy the layer, thick lines get. (See pictures attached). until finally almost all of the white in the hair of the woman disappeared.
The layer is brush only, on a white background which is on its own layer.

The opacity of the layer is 100% brush opacity is 100%.

    Layers are set to normal.

I have reset my preferences, and I have the reset tool.

I paint with a Wacom Intuos Pro and also deleted / reinstalled the drivers for it, so reset the service.

    So, how to stop this?

I need to duplicate these layers and keep them looking for the same thing, that the final product (an animation videoscribe) needs adding progressive layers to the image that I added in the different elements. (Ps has not always done this... it has been progressively worse... it used to work very well.)

Please let me know if you need more info, I joined as a lot of images that I think would help.

whenever you draw no straight lines... Photoshop, it's what we call 'smoothing' it creates intermediate pixels in order to avoid the cut edges

    you, the layers are Transparent

    one way to avoid this:

to add a white background below each layer and group them, then duplicate the Group

    Another way,

Duplicate the layer and set the difference blending mode

Scan using the software provided as Capture of Image or preview.

The application of scanning HP for your printer is not available to 10.9, you use incompatible software.

  • Remove the dark part of the Image

    Hello

I just started to work with NI VISION. I have attached an image with this post.

Can someone tell me how I can remove the dark part in the picture? I read on the histogram, which gives a total number of pixels at each level of gray.

But I don't know how I can use this information to improve the quality of the image, or in my case how can I use it to balance the values of pixels surrounded with the rest of the image.

I hope I explained my problem properly.

I found the solution to the problem. I used "Manipulation of pixels.

If anyone has any better ideas then please share.

  • draw the line between black pixel: coordinates of the selected pixels?

    Hello

I want to build a script that can check a Photoshop file and:

    -find the black pixel

-for each black pixel, looking for an another black pixel at a maximum distance of 5 pixels

-then draw a line between the two black pixels.

I wrote this script below (my first script...), but it's VERY slow (and my final image is VERY large), I think because I test the color for each pixel in the image.

So an alternative would be to select a black pixel with the wand, then the script record all the details of the selected pixels, then my script wil test only the pixels (less than 1% of the pixels are black in my image).

    Is this possible with JavaScript?

    Thank you for your answer!

  • I opened a picture with preview and all pixels become white. Is it possible to recover the original image?

I just opened the photo and every pixel in it became white. There is no way to return to a previous version of the image, as if she had initially being that color. The size of the image remains the same, but each pixel is white.

This is the second time that's happened, but the previous one, I was able to recover the deleted original file on my SD card, which is not an option at this time.

I would like to know if there is an app or option on Preview that allows me to recover the original image.

Looks like you are using a dial-up with a 'Accelerator' connection If this is the case, it's a feature of this ISP web accelerator. They accelerate the loading by initially providing lower quality images and giving you the option of loading the original image, full resolution in their cache with shortcuts for the page. Other ISPS with a web Accelerator feature using elements of context menu, which are added to Firefox via an extension installed in Firefox.

Insofar as not having is not able to load the image quality when you open it in a new tab, I don't know why that option does not appear. You must contact your ISP support for questions on this issue.

  • Invert the Pixels of the Image

    Hello

I have a vi that calculated centroid and diameter, and the algorithm behind it works on intensity levels. My current work is on cards, so I need to reverse my pixels of images (see attachment file). He NEITHER has a built in reserved vi which (except invert IMAQ)?

    Thank you

It works very well.  You don't see the results.  You load a new image in the next iteration until it had time to update the display.  The new image replaces the previous reverse image.

    Try the following solutions:

Add a delay to your loop.  The two views shows the current version of the image (reversed).

Switch the right-click on the snapshot on both screens.  This preserves the image in the State wherever it was when you posted it.  Very useful when you keep reusing the same image for processing.

You can also use probes, which should use the snapshot method.

  • Persistent for the subtraction of the background image collection (how to get the maximum value of each pixel in a series of images IMAQ)

    Hi all

I have a system of LabVIEW which takes advantage IMAQ tools and features of the Vision Development Module.  A useful feature that I put in place is to be able to take a snapshot of the video stream and then subtract this single image among the subsequent images.

What I want to do is to collect a series of images instead of one, and then create a unique image of these frameworks is just the maximum value of pixels in each pixel (a bit like a display persistent).

It would probably be very easy to be implemented by converting the image to a table and then by doing math number on the table and then turning into an image, but I hope that someone here may know how to use the IMAQ/VDM tools to do this in a way more compact.

    Thank you very much

    MK

How about using Max comparison IMAQ operation?

  • Export of work plans add 1 pixel at the height of the Image

    Hello

When I export a single or multiple art boards in JPG or PNG... it adds just 1 pixel up to the first image of the artboard.

    So, let's say I have 3 art-boards that are 300 x 300 px.

I export it using Art Optimized, RGB, 72 DPI as a JPG/PNG

    Only the 1st image (imagename - 01.jpg) is 300 x 301 pixels...

Adding only 1 pixel in height.

Maybe does not seem a big deal to some, but when I use these images in a slideshow on a Web site, you can see the slideshow to adjust the height.

It's boring say the least, I have to go and manually resize the image to 300 pixels high.

In addition, no matter if there is no work or not work plans.

    Is this a bug?

    fwhilton,

You can have a look at the values Y of your first work plan.

It may extend between non-integer values Y.

If this is the case, the remedy is to reposition the work plan to be included in the values of Y integer/integer.
