  I bought my Toshiba A100-683 for a month.
  The problem is that I sometimes see small grayish lines that passes through the LCD from the top to the bottom.
  This is are the type of lines u see also when you use your camera (phone) to make a film of a monitor / lcd screen.

  I still see them and seem to appear randomly.

  I updated my video card drivers, but this does not solve the problem.

  Is anyone familiar with this problem? Or knows a solution for this before I send it for repair.

  It's not very easy to say why these small lines are through the LCD.
  To tell a truth, I can't imagine these lines. I've never seen this show.

  However, try to update the BIOS. There should be new BIOS available that solves the problem with the blurry background on A100.

  Note: Make sure that you use the BIOS and the BIOS correct procedure.

  Hello, I have a laptop XPS M1210, running Vista Home Ultimate with his SigmelTel card. I'm unable to play any device that is plugged into the line-in socket through the M1210 speakers. I installed the drivers from Dell and I am able to record audio device, so I think the online part works. I've seen this hack on the ' net if I go to regedit and look for the 'EnableInputMonitor' key, then it will work.
