lines on a printed page through charger for HP Officejet Pro 8620

I've only had the printer for about 1 month. Recently I get lines on the side right middle of my printed page I sent through the document feeder. I tried to clean the rollers with water and alcohol isopropyl without change. I need to have a professional look for my business. What else could be wrong and how to fix it? Better yet, how can I prevent it happening again?

Hi tljiran,

Thank you for your answer!

Please, try the solutions in this guide. Vertical stripes, lines or streaks in the Copies, faxes or Scans, as it applies to the HP Officejet 8620 so.

I hope that this guide will help and have a nice day!

My HP OfficeJet Pro 8625 newly purchased printer was printing fine until I downloaded an update online. Now when I try to print I get the "Send Fax - HP OfficeJet Pro 8620" window. I have not selected the correct option on the update. I do not use nor I set up the fax on my computer or a printer. How can I fix this problem?

    Hello

In Control Panel, select devices and printers.

Right-click on the printer 8620, and then select set as default printer.

Select the printer listed without 'Fax' in its name and confirm.

The application used to print as if sure you select the print queue that does not include 'Fax' in its name.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620:8620 all in one printer color printing incorrect, even if the quality is good on tests

My printer is only about a year and I had no problem with him until more recently. I only use hp ink cartridges. It prints color orange when I want to print the colors pink and Red/pink when I want to print Brown. Most of the other colors print normally. I cleaned the print head, which does not help at all and made a print quality test, each test to come out totally fine. Colors are not dimmed, there are no missing lines or anything like that, it's just printing wrong colors from time to time, as on some documents. Any suggestions?

    Hi @mcorinn,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you experience problems printing some documents with your HP Officejet Pro 8620 printer in Mac OS X 10.6. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand the frustration you feel. There could be corruption in the files/application on the Mac or a problem with the printer driver. If the 'print quality test' report print correctly, this is not a hardware problem.

Are you able to print from TextEdit? What were the results?

If some documents are the problem, they could be corrupted.

What application you are printing from?

Try to create a new document with the color to see if it prints correctly. What were the results?

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8620: RDP 8620 Officejet prints strange lines

I tried to find an answer to this for almost a month.

We have a HP Officejet Pro 8620 and we want to be able to print from a remote computer to ours. The printer is shared.  We'll call the local computer pc1 and the computer remote pc2. PC1 remotes in pc2 using a standard Windows 7 Remote Desktop connection. PC1 sharing their printer with pc2 by redirect. the sharing of each resource to which is connected to it. PC1 is trying to print, and then waits. The printer that is connected to the pc1 via USB cable gives us a message that looks like this of course is not what we want when we try to print an Excel worksheet. No, this is not the complete document. This is the first 1/3 or the page and the rest is completely white. It almost looks like a code any. I installed the drivers on ppc1 both pc2. I tried the drivers universal instaslling. I was told that get this work 4 years ago was very easy, but I could not crack. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Problem has been resolved by the default driver. Has not reappeared since we have updated for the generic driver for 8600. Had to install the driver on the two machines.

  • Printer Officejet Pro 8620: officejet pro 8620 failure of the wireless card

E-all-in-one printer Officejet Pro 8620 was strange for the past few weeks - the blue light would remain solid but nothing prints not the touch screen would not respond and it would be not closed when the power button was pressed.  Now, it has gotten worse - he sees not the wireless network (other devices work well) and prints a blank page to print the report.  I ran the printing and scanning Dr, but he did that tell me that the printer cannot detect the network.  I tried to reset to the default factory settings wireless, but it still does not detect the network.  I think that the wireless card is not (it is exactly one year and two weeks since I bought it).

Is there a way to confirm my suspicions?  Is there anything else that might be causing these problems?  If so, how to replace the wireless card?  I worked with electronic equipment for years and I'm very comfortable, replacement of parts and components of computer devices.

I did the factory reset and went through the installation procedure as directed.  The printer still can't find wireless network and print report still produces just a white sheet.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620: Selection easy printing on tray 1 or 2

We have an Officejet Pro 8620 with extra paper tray. Tray 1 for Virgin paper, tray 2 for the paper with the logo of the company.

Now, when we want to print to tray 2, we reject Tray 1, whereas, after a few attempts the software switches to tray 2 and printing begins.

It is possible, before printing, to change the setting in the software, select printing for tray 2. But it's pretty heavy.

We want an easy way to select printing for Tray 1 or the tiroir2. For example, as seen in other environments, so that we can choose to print on:

-HP Officejet Pro 8620 (Tray 1) or

-HP Officejet Pro 8620 (tray 2)

This could be seen as a separate printers. How can we achieve this?

Change the setting every time, is not a good option. In addition, we have other software that we want to configure so that they automatically print to the correct bin.

    Thank you!

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that your printer Officejet 8620 e-all-in One prints a lot of status reports. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once, while the printer is on, remove the power cord at the back of the printer for one minute. Then, please let me know if you print when beginning status reports or if they start themselves as well as if there are no messages on the printer when trying to print. I found that shining flaslight parallel to the glass of the ADF can highlight the spec, it may be difficult to see.
