Lines on screen

I have a camera powershot SD1000. I noticed that the lines have appeared on the LCD. They look like this _ _ - and some are thicker. It was not just one another problem it bother me. Sometimes they are really noticeable, that it depends on the picture. I have not plugged it to my computer to see if they appear. I use an SD card to store the images. The lines appear in yellow if it makes a difference. I just want to know if anyone knows why they are there and how to get rid of them. I'm not savvy to the camera and I do not change the settings so I keep things real simple. Thank you

There could be several things happening here to get lines on the LCD screen. Have you checked that the images on the SD card are not affected? The first thing I would try is to reset the camera.

If this does not help, remove the batteries for about an hour, then before you reinstall the batteries, press the button and hold for approximately 5 seconds. Replace the battery and see if that clears it. This particular camera seems to be old, so there is a slight possibility that the LCD connector may have built resistance or even several years loosened a bit up and may require service. If this is the case, the cost to fix it maybe not worth it. I hope that the camera needs to be replaced.

Switched my laptop this morning and the display is simmering and seems to have a shadow. The top 2 inches is OK; under the tent of 2 inches, there is a horizontal white line about 1/16 "thick. below this line, the screen is simmering, appears dark and foggy.

What can I do to fix this?

That's better than you can do. I assume that the display is faulty somehow.

I got a brand new iPhone6 (2 days) on the Apple Store. Everything works fine; However, when the battery is dead instead of the low battery message (empty battery with the CAP) popping up on the screen looks distorted with red, black and yellow lines. For me there is a bigger problem here. Help, please.

  • Lines on screen Macbook

Picked up my Macbook to the table and these lines appeared. First time that's ever happened.

Any info on what happened actually technically?

    Thank you.

The best option is an appointment at an Apple store genius bar.  The assessment will be free.

You can connect a monitor on the MBP.  If the monitor image is good, the display or the connection to the screen is defective.  If the monitor is the same as the display, the GPU is the prime suspect.

  • Toshiba Satellite U400 - purple lines on screen

Hi, I had my laptop for about 2 years now, and recently, I noticed that when the screen is dark (as a background or black background dark) purple blurry horizontal lines appear at the top of the screen. Like at the top of 2 millimeters of the screen.

I also noticed that when I put pressure on the area around the touch pad the screen begins to glitch out and go spastic. Like all the purple lines. Especially around the bar at the bottom of the screen.

If I set the background to white lines disappear however and the affects to put pressure on the area around the touch pad are much less visible (if at all, I have to test it more)

Also when I plug in an external monitor (VGA) there is no problem on the external display.

So my question is, someone knows something similar and also it would be a software or hardware problem? And what do I do now?

    Thank you

Looks like a hardware problem. If the screen deforms when the base is pressed, then the graphics chip is probably defective. An FSL may quote you a new Mainboard.

  • Satellite Pro A10 - 3mm thickness vertical line on screen

I have a thick vertical line of 3mm on the screen seems to come up in colors, it generally moved to gray.

The display was damaged - or is this some sort of driver problem.

    Hello

It looks like a hardware malfunction. UPS may be a FL. But I m not 100% sure.
What you can do? Well, if it's really a hardware fault so the only way is to contact Toshiba service. But it could also be a strange software problem. In this case, the best way is to recover the operating system and/or update the graphics driver. You can also check your BIOS version. If there is a newer version, then try to upgrade the version of the BIOS.
But if the material is broken, then contact ASP.

    Hello

I have a 200 X 21F and when I open my workbook more than 50 degrees, I have on the screen, a lot of green lines.
I think I have a problem with the cable that go from my screen to the SLI card, you have the reference to the present?

Have you ever had this problem?

    Sorry for my English.

    Thank you

    Hello!

Do you have this problem on an external monitor too or only on the screen internal? Maybe it s not a graphics card problem. Check it!

If you have the same problem on the external monitor, you must go to an ASP. I think that map graphic or let's say the motherboard needs to be replaced. :(

    Good bye

  • Green vertical line on screen - Satellite P30 Pro

A single thin green vertical line appeared about a sixth of the way across the screen. It works up and down continuously and immediately displays the screen is activated.

I presume that this indicates a hardware failure - can anyone confirm please? Guess I'm interested in large bills?

    Hi Ian

How is - someone must provide an exactly fault diagnosis without putting the hand on this laptop?
Here, we can suggest and discuss only!

If she really looks like a hardware problem, but the question is; What s wrong.
In my opinion, you must connect the external monitor to the laptop. Check if the same vertical line appears on the second screen!

If Yes, then the chances are high that the graphics card is broken! This could be a case value because the GPU is soldered on the Board and the entire motherboard must be replaced to solve this problem.

  • Satellite Pro P100: Lines from screen to screen

Hello people wonder if you can help me... actually wonder if I'm in the right forum... I think it's a problem of monitor not a software problem...
As of late I have vertical lines that appear on my screen... very thin and in pretty colors, light blue, mint green and purple.

I get about once every 2 weeks or if a new... No idea if it's a software or hardware problem... a computer kid told me it has to do with the conection labtop screen? If someone can just tell me to download a driver and that's all the gonne be ok. would make me a very happy man...

Also, I read in this forum that the new bios 4.30 fan pending issues. Should I wait with the download?

    Thank you

    Patric

To exclude your problem is hardware related, try reinstalling display drivers.
I don't know if the new version of the BIOS of your laptop has some unresolved issues fan, but if you are not sure, weather to install the upgrade to update or not, just leave it.

But as I read your message, so far, I think the little computer is right, and there might be a problem with the connection to the screen. Or it could be another display error or problem of graphics card.

If update display drivers brings no improvement, I suggest you should contact local ASP, as seems to be the hardware problem.

  • Vertical lines on screen

    Can someone help me?

I have vertical lines on my screen, all the time.
    How can I remove it?

    Thank you.

To remove them is not so easy because you don't know why they are there.
The lines can be displayed with the defective display or defective graphics card.
If possible, connect your laptop to external monitor and check if the same will be shown.

If the lines are displayed on the external screen, the graphics card is defective and the entire motherboard must be exchanged. :(

    Hello

    Your guess might be good.
Either there is something wrong with the GPU (graphics chip) chip or the computer laptop faulty display.

This can be checked easily. You must connect to the laptop for external monitor and should test the output of the screen.

If the same lines will appear on the second monitor and then the graphics card should be responsible for this issue. Otherwise, the internal LCD laptop could be faulty.

In both cases, the service provider authorized in your country should be contacted.

Good luck and have a great week ;)

I agree with James. Check if the same product with an external monitor. In any case, it's probably a malfunction of the equipment.

  • Vertical lines on screen - Equium A100

In the past two weeks a vertical line has been appearing every now and then towards the end of the right side of the screen (from top to bottom) on my A100-147 and I'm a little concerned as to why this is.

Can someone help and tell me what the problem is please?

It s not dull if there line horizontal or vertical s.
Fact is that this show is displayed if there is a hardware problem.

    How to find what's wrong?

You could connect the second external monitor to the laptop and could check whether the same appears on the external monitor.
If yes then-> I assume that it s a GPU malfunction
If not-> then the screen itself could be faulty

In both cases, the replacement is necessary and could be costly!
