• Since the update I can't click on links placed horizontally, buttons etc. have uninstalled and reinstalled still do. Can not yet see how to get an older version that worked and ran a virus check. work of the Explorer

  Firefox has been updated automatically at 7, and now all the sites I go on horizontal active things, that you have to click will do nothing. for example in ebay I cannot access 'My ebay' and Facebook cannot click my profile or messages, I can't click on "Your Photostream" which means I can't use it in Flickr. I tried exploring and all these work, then firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled and did a virus check system on top of the one active ongoing and nothing no change. I am at a loss what to do now.   With the new model of quick release, each new major release is considered a direct update to the previous, without support for the older versions. As a result, Firefox 4, 5 and 6, are supported no more, while 7 is up-to-date and 3.6 is still supported. When the new plan scope of release of support is implemented, there will be that a new version major support of the regular releases with minor updates in 3.6 How is now along the side. This is why Firefox 4, 5 and 6 are not on releases.mozilla.org, although there is a folder for 5.0.1 without the binary inside for some strange reason. The field of releases.mozilla.org has mirrors for managing the high load needed for the current download versions. Everything else is on . mozilla.org and http://ftp.mozilla.org/ note asking people to link to the other server when possible for reasons of bandwidth.

  As to why you could not access the FTP server, it is accessible by FTP instead of HTTP, so you have something blocking. Just a guess so.

  Something that you have changed your User Agent or prevents your User Agent to update with the new installation/update of Firefox. I suspect it's Fast Browser Search, which is shown as part of the User Agent. To get rid of Fast Browser Search do the following:

  1. Closing of Firefox (Firefox button > exit OR File > Exit)
  2. Open the Windows XP Control Panel and remove/uninstall "Fast Browser search protection" and "Fast Browser Search" (MyWebTatoo)

• How to download the older version

  Go to Download Firefox v3.6.17 and upload it to the office.
  
  Then go to add/remove programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and delete it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, etc., the customizations (don't tick the box).
  
  Reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
  
  Finally, run the installation file downloaded previously on the desktop.
  
  Your bookmarks, etc., customizations are stored in a different location and will become available to you even once you complete the installation.

  After completing the installation, go to the Plugins check page and update, as appropriate.

  However, before go you that route, here are some tips to make the FF4 to look like the previous version.

  • Right-click on an empty part of the toolbar tab and click "Tabs on top" to remove the check mark. Tabs later reappears under the search bar.
  • Repeat the same steps, but click on the top of the page, one called 'Menu bar '. This will restore the text at the top links.
  • To rearrange the layout, repeat the same steps and choose "Customize". A Panel opens and who remains on the screen, you can move elements like toolbars, buttons etc. around and place them anywhere you want. You can also drag anything there that you don't like Panel and add anything you want by dragging it out of there.

  Skype uses a bit encryption in order to link upward and for data transfer.

  You can download Skype - ubuntu_2.2.0.35 - 1_i386.deb - just search it on the web.

  Without your specifications (machine, where and how you use Skype), it is difficult to say if the decommissioning can be recommended. I also do not know if new Skype is safer but maybe.

  I would say version 6.21, because it might contain some memory difficulties.

  I had itunes on our laptop a few years ago and uninstalled through the normal route of the program uninstall Windows 7 a few years back.  Now I am trying to reinstall itunes and it comes up with the error "failed to remove the older version of Apple software update Contact your technical support group. "When I go in uninstall programs it shows"Apple Software Update"but when I click on uninstall, it says:"the configuration data for this product are damaged. Please contact the support staff. "When I search the file it's no-do. It is a ghost file.  Deleted, but still think it's there.  I tried to run "from the mistakes of audit" on the disc. I tried using Unlocker that does not show the program, says it removed and it is in the trash but still the same error. I contacted Microsoft and she ran at a command prompt to check for problems, (I do not remember the guest, she used) but also, it does not work.  How can I get rid of this ghost file?

  Try the tool MS difficulty under the second box to see if that can see and remove ASU. Otherwise, delete all other components and install everything except ASU proceeding to install missing components. iTunes didn't need ASU to work.

With respect to access older versions of LabVIEW, if you have a valid support contract, you can access some earlier versions of LabVIEW from the Service Resource Center . However, versions of LabVIEW available, it will not return as much as LabVIEW 6.1, which is what you would need for a windows 95 machine. Unfortunately, the free or trial of LabVIEW versions are not available for LabVIEW 6.1. It might be useful to contact a representative to discuss what options you have.

• Windows Movie Maker - savings-older version

  HI - my daughter received a project to make a band trailer of the movie using Windows Movie Maker.  We have 6 Version, no problem.  But the school has V2.1.4026.0 with a Spk2 V5.1.

  The teacher said that we have to save the project, so it can be read by an earlier version of the software.  I went to the save option under and the "Save as type" gives only the option "Save as Windows Movie maker Project.  I'm sure it's a simple solution, but since this is our first experience with this package I need help.

  So, how to save a Version6 project file so it can be read by older Versions of Windows Movie Maker?

  Project files more Movie Maker version are not compatible with the lower version of Movie Maker. However, you can publish the project to .avi or .wmv format so that you can play these video files on any computer.
