Links keep redirecting me to other sites...

When I click on any link in any search engine it redirects me to other sites that are unrelated to what I'm looking for.  He did this for a few weeks now.  Has it something to do with my current settings or what?  Help, please...

From what I've seen on this subject, you should seek to remove the malicious software has infected your computer from one of the specialized forums, such as the interactive help

Unless I missed something in the got-have-immediate 2016 world we live is exactly how social media is designed to work.

My suggestion to you, take a deep breath, put your phone in a book.

To everyone out there... A book is something that we, the older people used to read to pass the time. Google it.

  • I keep redirected to the American version of a site rather than the site of origin.

Recently I hooked to reading the articles of a UK site, but recently, when I click on the links in the article I'm automatically redirected to the American site and its contents to the place! I live in the United States but hate the American site articles and many prefer the British. Initially, my only solution was to stop the article during the loading in order to stay on the link of the desired article, but also the end that fails and I'm automatically redirected to the American pages instead (ugh...).

I am currently using 25.0 Firefox on Windows 7 Home Premium and checked the box 'Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page' under Tools > Options > advanced > General > section accessibility but was always redirected. I also installed the add-on Refresh Blocker v0.8 but was always redirected. The site is http://www.denofgeek.com but when I select an article on their homepage or the categories I get redirected to the "equivalent" http://www.denofgeek.us As a precaution, I have performed an analysis of malware but come clean and have deleted all cookies and temporary internet files, but once again it was in vain.

Is there anything else I can do to avoid the redirect? Or if this site has officially lost a player? Any help is appreciated.

I don't know why you will be redirected, but here are a few thoughts:

    (1) in case your preference for .us is stored in a cookie - rather than an account setting - try to clear the cookies for the site (this will probably end your session, so save all pending work first). While displaying a page on the site, try either:

    • Click on the globe or the padlock in the address bar > more information > Security > "View Cookies".
    • Right click on the page > View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
    • Menu Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".

In the dialog box that opens, you can delete cookies from the site individually.

Any changes in the navigation of the homepage?

    (2) if give you permission to site to access your location, that turns off. You can access specific permissions to the site while displaying a page on the site using the Page Info dialog box. Either:

    • Click on the globe or the padlock in the address bar > more information > permissions
    • Right click on the page > View Page Info > permissions
    • Menu Tools > Page Info > permissions

(See screen shot on location approval)

    (3) if the site uses your preferred language to redirect, you can add en-GB and reorganize your languages. However, this could lead to strange results on other sites. If you want to try it, go to the languages of content here options dialog box:

the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > content > select button

We performed three different software malicious and software spies, trying to find a Trojan horse or another program that causes popups and many cases takes control and redirects the browser to other sites that we are trying to open. These programs have not found in the routines of trojan or spyware.

As noted, this did not arise until FF26 and the previous version.

Then, you are clearly infected by malicious software.

Download, install and run both of these freeware programs:
    MalwareBytes AntiMalware and SuperAntiSpyware

  • Keep MSN home page direct me to other sites

Whenever I type a search in msn seach I'm automatically redirected to a web site that did not ask, how can I solve this problem? I always get the correct site using default goole.

Well, we know nothing on your system--maybe it's because you are not prompted to provide useful information when you ask your question.

Sometimes browser redirects are attempts by malware to direct you to a page for a product, to deceive you into thinking that your system is infected and trying to get you to send them money, or sometimes the malware leaves you not get to web pages where you might find a method to get rid of him.

First of all, I would like to launch a few scans to make at least an attempt to eliminate obvious and easy to fix infections, malware, and then if you still have the problem, that would be the time to repair it.

Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
  • Every 5 to 10 minutes mozilla guard redirect me to another site or opens a new window.

Every 5 to 10 minutes mozilla guard redirect me to another site or opens a new window. I tried to uninstall and install bt nothing has changed. I also tried the reset firefox feature to restore to its default state. I'll be glad to get other solutions

First, I would check to make sure that you have not misunderstood Add-ons installed: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/disable-or-remove-add-ons

However, it seems that you may have an infection of malicious software on your system. Try to install this and runing a scan: https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/

  • I can not connect with my facebook account to other sites

This only happens with firefox and facebook account... my facebook account works fine and I checked to make sure that these sites are not blocked my facebook account... this problem does not exist when I use IE... I tried to empty the cache and I made sure that the cookies are acceptable... still nothing

Hello, if you experience this problem again this doesn't...

Refresh (called "Reset" in older versions of Firefox) can solve a lot of problems in restaurant Firefox as his default factory while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose all the extensions, toolbar customizations, and certain preferences. See article Firefox Refresh - reset modules and parameters for more information.

    Refresh for Firefox:

    1. Open the troubleshooting information page using one of the following methods:

      • Click the menu button

        click Help

and select troubleshooting information. Should open a new tab containing your troubleshooting information.

      • If you are unable to access the Help menu, type Subject: support in your address bar to bring up the troubleshooting information page.
    2. At the top right of the page, you should see a button that says 'Refresh Firefox' ('reset Firefox' in older versions of Firefox). Click on it.
    3. Firefox closes. Once the update process is complete, Firefox will display a window with the imported information.
    4. Click Finish and reopen Firefox.

This corrects the problem? Please report to us!

    Thank you.

  • cannot connect with facebook on other sites (firfox 27.0) (rafflecopter, buttons, etc.)

Facebook will not link properly. For example, shows Rafflecopter NEVER the journal Facebook option. Other sites Web will not bind the 'Like' button never has. It started as soon as I upgraded to v 27; other browsers work fine. Even Facebook pages don't display properly, the line-up is 'off', but I don't know if this is a problem of Firefox or Facebook because they have recently re-designed the page.

In fact, I've upgraded to v28, and now it works! Laughing out loud! Thanks a lot for your help!

  • After the upgrade to the new version of firefox 13.01 I can't play video on youtube and other sites what should I do?

After the upgrade to the latest version 13.0.1

I can't open videos from youtube and other sites

I tried all the solutions, but none works

I would also consider the following. Recent crashes of some multimedia content (this includes the Youtube videos, some flash games and other applications), in collaboration with Firefox 13 are probably caused by a recent update of Flash 11.3 and/or Real Player browser plugin to malfunction.

To resolve this problem, follow the steps in these articles in the Knowledge Base:

Flash Plugin - maintain and troubleshoot

Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - avoid that it happen

11.3 Flash does not load video in Firefox

  • I can watch more videos on YouTube and other sites with Firefox is (IE and Chrome work well) someone can suggest a solution for this?

This week, after the automatic updates, Firefox no longer plays videos on YouTube or other sites. I tried using a very old version of Firefox and it was OK, but I'm afraid too many glitches with this older version.

This can be caused by a recent update of Flash 11.3.
