Linksys E 2000 - VDSL media?

Router E2000 supports VDSL?

Yes. Most of the time, the router must be configured with automatic DHCP Configuration Protocol (such as the type of Internet connection) to work with a VDSL modem. As long as the computer goes online via the modem, the router must also be able to work with it.

Hi, I recently bought the router modem to Linksys X 2000/dsl, I ran the installation and everything works fine except when I am playing games online with a single device, and surf the web on a different peripheral it maintains kick one or two devices in offline mode, but if one of them is on it works fine.

I have AT & T dsl and I checked all my settings and the router has been installed by linksys Cisco Connect program but it still gives me this problem.

Can I do to solve this problem? My old router WRT54G and AT & T dsl modem do not have this problem.

Thank you for your time and your help.

I have reset the router by default, then I have updated the Firmware of the newsiest version Ver.2.0.01 (Build 4) who had just recently came out.

This seems to have fixed the DSL to disconnect,

Thanks for all the input and help.

  • Weird Linksys x 2000 problem

Suddenly, I was not able to connect to websites at random and do not been able to add elements of online stores to cart.  I couldn't believe the router it would, but I've confirmed.  With Linksys x 2000 installed, I tested Linkedin.com on four of my computers.  2 Windows 7 Machines, Machine 1-Windows8 and server 1-2011. After you type the user name and password, page refresh to the login screen and does not allow me to connect to.  I tested it on all 4 machines.  Also tried to order something online and not allow me to put items in the basket.  Once tested on all four machines.

I set the router to the factory settings and tested and got the same results.  Disabled firewall and got the same results.  Ensure time was OK and got the same results. I had the latest firmware, 2.0.4 (or something like that) and no newer updates.

I replaced the Linksys X 2000 with provided ISP router Westell 8500 and none of the problems persisited.  Definitely something wrong with the x 2000 Linksys.  I'm in the Eastern time zone and think that the problem began with Day LIght Saving time, although I can't be sure.  Routeris is good time however.  Yet once, provider ISP don't give me any problems.

Anyone else with the same problems?

Yes, there are a lot of discussions on this problem. The problem is that cookies are blocked. Go to the security settings on the router and check the cookie. Who's going to fix it until we get a firmware update.

  • Linksys X 2000 as wireless accsess point

    Hey,.

I have a router Linksys X 2000 defective, which can provide modem services (we think that the fault relates to upstream modulation), I would like to use as an wireless accsess point to extend my existing wireless network, provided by other services intigrated router.

I tried to follow several tutorials on how to turn a spare router in an AP wireless but always result by not being is not able to connect to the wireless signal. And I am unable to find the X 2000-specific tutorials.

All the tutorials I've read State to disable DHCP, what I'm doing on the X 2000, however when I noticed that I couldent connect I have re-enabled DHCP and was able to connect to the X 2000 (and other devices on it) but not able to connect to the internet or any other device on my network home.

My X 2000 is connected to my router default gateway via an adapter of current line. The adapter is not defective, or the wireless or change the X 2000 capibilities.

Can someone talk to me through setting up my X 200 a wireless AP or infact inform me with this particular router is not possible.

    Thank you.

Go here to connect two routers.

However, you say that your X 2000 is faulty.  So maybe that's the reason why it will not work.

  • Cannot connect WiFi with Linksys X 2000

    Hey,.

I have been setting up to my router wireless Cisco X 2000 recently and I have that works well for my wired connections, however for some reason when you try to use the wireless none of our smartphones to connect, unless you use a wireless guest account.

I tried different security settings with different passwords, but none worked (WEP, WPA, WPA2,...)

Can someone help me on this problem? I can't imagine what could be the cause.

  • I get random stops with my recordings on Widows Media Center.

Original title: Smart TV with Windows Media Center Recordings interference

Since the installation of a new Samsung Smart TV (model UN46ES8000F) I have been making random stops with my recordings on WMC.  Because there are a lot of tuners and available memory at the time where the records are arrested, they record not 'conflicts' in the sense of the WMC.  Records are simply stopped manually at random times when recording provided by another component on my computer in the home network. Today, I tried to reload WMC, a full charge of Windows 7, complete diagnosis on all equipment running & exchanging a few components; But starting today, I was not able to specifically identify the component that prevents the records, however, I begin to suspect the smart terminal on the new TV.  I have photos available of history showing the partial records should anyone want to consult them.

Description of the system: I use wired (Cat5E) Linksys DMA 2000 ex distribution TV recorded on my first HDHomeRun in 4 different rooms in my house since my computer Dell XPS420 (under Windows 7 Ultimate) via a D-link DGS-2205 gigabit switch.  The Smart TV is connected to the internet via my router D-link DIR - 655 Wireless-N.

Everyone knows about this problem, and no one knows a way to solve it?  Do not hesitate to contact me directly at * address email is removed from the privacy *.

I too began to see problems with my Windows 7 Media Center after buying a "smart tv".

I am using an HDHomerun Prime with 2 pc for more than a year and practically no problem.  Now, I use it with a Ceton Extender so... no problem.  But when I got my first smart (a 55 '' TV LG LED 120 MHz) model, the problems started.

Whenver my new flat screen is connected to my network (cat6, 1000Mbps), I noticed a ton of problems with my 3 tuners.  All three tuners "disappear" and whatever program I was watching would freeze.

I didn't record something while my smart tv is connected to my network, so I can't say I have the same problem you are having, but I sincerely believe that we are the same.  For the sake of arguments, if I recorded something, it probably would have stopped.

I agree with you 100%.  I think the smart TV is guilty.  I think the problem is our TV are the first hdhomerun and treat it as one product DLNA.  Under my smart TV App menu, I can see the shared folders on various pc's on my network (music, videos, etc.). .. as well as three files for each tuner hdhomerun main!  When I click on one of the tuner, my TV resets icon.  Something tells me that when the smart tv is connected to my home network, he's trying somehow communicate with three tuners and which is originally the tuners to freeze.

If Silicondust would somehow a patch update or firmware to avoid the first appearing as a product DLNA, which can solve our problems.

I think that Silicondust would be able to help you with this problem.  I doubt that microsoft technicians will have a clue.

The silicondust techies will be most useful, especially since they want to certify our hdhomerun first tuners like DLNA Certified products as we speak.   If you do a search on the web for first hdhomerun and DLNA, you will see an article/news update on progress.

  • Stop error 0x0000C1F %

Same problem as the post above me. I did F8 and have already told him to go to the last known good configuration. It was 15 minutes ago (let him go) and it has a black screen with the green bar operation and Microsoft Corporation. (I have a Dell Inspiron 5305)

    HELP, PLEASE!

Well guys, the response of unfortunet to this error is there is nothing you can do. By the KB below, you can do the following.

    Method 1

If you have several drives installed and the drive on which the file $TxfLog is corrupt does not contain Windows Vista, remove the offending computer drive.

    Method 2

If you have one installed disc and you have access to the Windows XP or Windows 2000 installation media, restart the computer by using the Windows XP or Windows 2000 installation media. Then, format the offending disk, and then reinstall Windows Vista.

Terms of can. Put an XP or 2000 disc, format and reinstall Vista. There is nothing you can do to recover the data unless you put a unbuntu or some other linux boot disk drive in. Sorry the fix if only good for the mistake before now that you have C1F5 you can not use. First step finding someone who knows linux to backup your data.

    @Denise1957,

Hello and thanks for posting back.  Your problem is you're not going to find the drivers that are compatible with windows 8 or 8.1. Your system is only released with support for windows 7.  You can find the drivers somewhere on the internet, that can work.  This will involve some research and they will not be supported.  The only thing I would do is to reload your original operating system and use compatible drivers available for your laptop HP support page.
