Problems with Linksys RV082 and Cisco RV016 in pages that https handshake, for example, when you connect www.logmein.com returns me back to the home page of connection, I find that when investigating a possible identity theft, the RV fucnion is responsible as it changes from one modem to modem another which is freer, it's one of the problems that I have found the balance and I have not been resolved in a while someone will know how to solve this big problem.

Thanks in advance.

Enrique,

On the RV082:

  1. -> Double-WAN management system
  2. Change of balancing load (Auto Mode) at the bottom of the page you will now see binding protocol
  3. Select HTTPS [TCP/443 ~ 443] in the menu drop-down
  4. Select the source IP address or range: (i.e. 192.168.1.100 to 150) that will bind HTTPS for any LAN device that uses an IP address in this range.
  5. Select the address IP of Destination: leave generally to 0.0.0.0 to 0.0.0.0 for all destinations
  6. Select the Interface to bind the Protocol (WAN1 or WAN2)
  7. Check the box enable and add to the list. Save settings at the bottom of page.

On the RV016:

  1. Management-> multi-WAN system
  2. Look for the setting of the Interface to and select Edit to WAN1.
  3. Follow the steps above.

Please let us know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

  • Problem with my WRT54G Router.

    Hello!

I have a problem with my WRT54G Router. From time to time, he will leave the connection but it back a few seconds later. Now, it is an annoyance, whenever I try to stream a video game or even simply online.

The problem could be related to my modem? Or my ISP? The router itself has 2 wired computers sharing the internet connection. The connection is dropped on both computers, of course.

Now, this situation can also hit its use torrent? I was the client download of World of Warcraft official website and it seemed to keep the speed of around 25 KB/s. That really seems low given the amount of seeders and the overall performance of my connection.

I appreciate any help and I can also provide any additional information.

Try to reflash/upgrade of the firmware of the router. You can download the firmware from the linksys Web site. After upgrading the firmware, reset the router, power cycle it and re - configure the router from scratch.

  • RV016 routing

    Hi all

I just bought a new brilliant RV016 router. I have a connection to the Internet at xxx.200.139.197; a single IP connection. However, I have a routed subnet of 204.174.204.0/23 through that IP connection. In other words, for 204.174.204.0/23 traffic is routed to xxx.200.139.197.

Now I want to configure my router RV016 to manage traffic for 204.174.204.0/23 (or I can set it up in two class C subnets if required, or more small subnets if necessary or desirable). In the 'old days' when I did it in the command line, I would simply have two IP addresses to a single interface, and that's the road would exist.

How can I configure this range with the RV016?

    Thank you

    Richard

    Hello Richard,.

I think I understand what you're trying to do.

If you go to---> NETWORK SETTINGS, then go down to LAN settings, it will give you the option to add a different subnet. Just add the subnet of 204.174.204.0/23. I don't know if you've tried or not. Just give it a try and see if this resolves your first question.

    I hope this helps.

  • Path of evolution for Linksys RV016 router

I have a series of simple questions.

KNOWN: Bought a router Linksys RV016 sale of diocese and it works without a problem

    Firmware version: 1.3.2

UNKNOWN: How to get the following:

    1. 1.3.4 update firmware
    2. Firmware firmware 2.0.0 with the bootstrapper process to move to the version 2 series
    3. Firmware versions in the 2.0.0 beta/release series to get the final 2.0.0 beta/release

From what I read, I must go to the 2.0.0 for later through the 2.0 series before I can move to the 3.0.x series.

All links come from FTP dead Linksys and the most recent ftp sources series 3.0 last only Cisco, which is absolutely useless to someone in my situation.

Your help would be much appreciated.

I have 20 years in the industry so I just need the files of the firmware to get this current router.

  • Cisco Linksys RV082 VPN router Port Translation

    Hi all

We have a router RV082 and we try to do port forwarding.

    For example:

    88.123.2.5:80 > 192.168.1.10:2334

    88.123.2.5:81 > 192.168.1.10:2335

However this does not seem to be possible because I can choose only the source port and IP address of destination unlike the RVS4000.

  • RV082 problems with internet - downloading file corruption

    Hey guys,.
I have the RV082 router and I'm having a strange problem.

When I try and download files or applications, my computer happens to expire during the download and unexpectedly farm or the file that I am trying to download is corrupted.  I have never seen anything like this before.  I spent the time on the phone with my ISP and they said this isn't a problem on their end.  I am able to browse the internet without any problem.  I just have problems downloading stuff.

I have reproduced this problem on other computers on my network.  If it is not isolated to my computer.  that tells me that there must be something wrong with the router.

Is this a problem with my router settings?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's really weird. I suggest to manipulate the MTU of the RV082 section if this will solve the problem. Follow this link to determine the correct MTU size for router:

    http://Linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/Linksys.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=4454&p_created=11647...

Also, make sure that you are using the latest firmware for the router said. You can download the latest firmware for the router on this link:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/ps9926/index.html

Apart from that, I suggest you contact support CISCO focus more on your problem. In my view, that this unit is part of serial company Cisco devices now supports. Try going to this link for other devices of the series business and the site where you can get your hands on Cisco for support:

  • Linksys WRT110 problems - Firmware and the blocking of Web sites

First problem is that my Linksys WRT110 blocking some Web sites. I tried to get 1up.com and it times out. When I plugged my modem without the router I could access the site without problem. I checked www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com and it's on my end... I found a few solutions workaround, which eventually do not, such as:

After you download the firmware, extract the files if its zipped.

    Connect to http://192.168.1.1 router.

Leave the user name and password admin

Click administration and then search for the file (.bin)

Wait for the upgrade, then reset and reconfigure the router.

  • Bug of Linksys WRT54GC Mode of operation of "router"?

    I use a Linksys WRT54GC router and I experience a behavior that I don't expect.
    You give me your opinion?
    This is the case:

My assumption of "Gateway" or "Router" operating Mode is:
Gateway mode means NAT that makes invisible LAN subnet side WAN addresses. NAT is disabled by activating the Mode of operation of 'Gateway' to 'router '.

I have connected a PC (192.168.2.100) to port the router WAN and another (192.168.23.100) PC on a LAN (192.168.23.1) of the router (192.168.2.2) port.
When I switch my WRT54GC "Router" mode I can't always ping the PC on the site of the side router LAN WAN. SPI Firewall protection and block anonymous Internet requests are disabled. Firewalls on both computers is disabled.

I saw a similar problem at the forum "Connecting two routers via WAN" 08/28/2008 Victor Tang.

Don't you think that it is a bug in the mode of operation of the WRT54GC software?

I reported the bug to Linksys.

My first experience with Linksys technical support is very good.

They take the serious problem, ask for the discharge of Wireshark and send me an update of the firmware of the router.

This fixes the bug with the mode of operation, now I can without NAT on and outside, very well!

I don't have firmware update earlier because the release notes did not mention my bug, I read in the forum a lot of users having problems after the update of the firmware, so I followed the policy do not update unless it can solve your problem.

There are some things perhaps worth mentioning:

You should be careful to use the right firmware for your router.

Not only the model of the router is too important, the hardware version and too country!

I've got a WRT54GC, hardware version 1, and it is the type of the EU.

Of this material, there's also a different US with versions of firmware version!

The latest version of the firmware to the US type is v1.60.1, the latest version of the EU type is 1.60.0 v.

Thus, you should take care of this website, you download the update to get the right version and read the release notes. These release notes, you can check if your current firmware version is part of the history of this firmware, so you know that you have the right one. I was so very accurate because many have reported problems in the forum with updates.

Now I'm able to Exchange traffic between computers and printers in different subnets and I can access the Internet from each subnet gateway I want.

It is important to think about the configuration of your PC and routing tables.

The firewall on the computers must be configured on the additional subnet.

A PC has a default gateway to reach a device on another subnet.

Most of the time these are devices on the Internet, so if you create additional internal subnets that your traffic will be by default will be send to the Internet and will be lost. To define additional gateways where your additional subnet can be found to avoid this.

This can be done on a PC with the command: route add (IE 192.168.23.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.2.2) or you define a static route to your router (the latter is preferable).

The problems I've had, forced me to consider how does networking, with the help of the users on this forum, I would conclude that this is a bug, with the support of very good Linksys everything now works as expected.

    Thank you.

  • Westell 7500 and linksys e3200 problems

I used these instructions to put my Fairpoint westell 7500 modem/router in bridge mode: http://www22.verizon.com/Residential...500/123736.htm then I plugged my new e3200 to the westell 7500, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't get any PC connected to the e3200 to be able to access the internet.

Finally, I did a full reset on the westell, who back in PPPoE mode, then I disabled wireless over the westell and then I hooked my e3200 to the westell. Now everything works. Devices connected to the e3200 either by wireless or cable are able to access the internet. Also, devices hooked to the westell cable are are also able to get to the internet too.

    My questions are:

Is there a drawback to doing it this way? (IE, do not put westell in Bridge mode).

This may cause any slow or conflict?

The reasons why the bridge mode may not have worked?

Thanks for all the useful responses. Here's what worked for me.

First, I put my westell 7500 in bridge mode by following these instructions:

    http://www22.Verizon.com/residentialhelp/highspeed/networking/setup/versalink7500/123709.htm

Note: for step 8, I do not chose BRIDGE ROUTED bridge mode as he suggests, instead I used the BRIDGE.

Then I used the signs to config my e3200 for PPPoE connection:

    http://www6.nohold.NET/Cisco2/UKP.aspx?pid=80&VW=1&articleid=3687

These instructions show how to enter you ISP providers user name and password. This is something that the linksys install software CD never asked.

  • Problem HP D1110 Belkin router

I have the D1110 HP Photosmart All in one printer which has worked very well connected wireless to a Linksys WT54G router.  This router has crashed about 2 months ago and I installed a Belkin N750 DB wireless router.  On the network, I have a PC running Windows Vista Home Premium connected by ethernet, a laptop Dell Inspiron with Windows 7 connected wireless, desktop and my HP D110 also connected wireless.  The HP software is installed on both computers.

After you have installed the Belkin router, I started to notice my desktop flicker PC screen and hear sounds like the sound of a USB drive being installed and removed from a USB port.  It is as often as every few seconds and sometimes every two minutes that occur.  I uninstalled all the devices that was connected to one of the ports USB on the desktop PC, but the problem continues.  With these devices disconnected, I turned off the HP D110 and the problem disappeared.

I then disconnected the cables to my router and off all devices then restarted the router, connected desktop PC, rebooted desktop and then restarted the printer.  The problem was still present.  I checked the updates and my printer is up to date.  I uninstalled the HP software and reinstalled.  The problem is still present.  I ran a test network printer and printed the network configuration.  The HP D1110 past and shows "connected".  My printer prints, scans, receive e-mails... no problem.

I always get this annoying problem despite the success of my printer.  I searched online for solutions and have checked and rechecked the settings wireless to my router and the printer.  I even changed the IP address of the printer to static and makes sure that the IP address, MAC and DNS address match the router.  I use the security WPA/WPA2/PSK, WPA-PSK-WPA2-PSK authentication and AES encryption.

I would really appreciate someone to comment on this because this annoying problem disappears only if the printer is off.

    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for the reply.

The printer is connected to the wireless router.  While waiting for the response, I disconnected all devices from the router, disconnect the cable modem router.  Then I reset the cable modem, reconnected the router and turned it on.  Then I connected my desktop computer, installed the router management software and returned the router to the default settings, as if it were straight out of the box.  Next, I set up the router for the SSID, security, etc.  Then, I uninstalled the HP software and reinstalled the HP software.  Then I rebooted my desktop computer and my problem not reappeared since that point, which was about 24 hours.  For the moment, everything seems to be fine.

Can I have an email address in case the problem comes back?  In my view, that it is just a lull in the storm.

    Thank you

    David

  • RV082 access resources on RV016

I know what * should * be simple but having a devil of a time to run.

I have 2 routers. Both have a static ip address. Each is set up for another private subnet. At present, they are unrelated to each other. Consider this configuration (composed numbers of course):

    RV016

a 13 lan, 2 ports internet ports, 1 dmz port

    Internet port: 10.10.10.10

    LAN: 192.168.1.x

    Printer to 192.168.1.10

    RV082

    a 8-port lan 1 internet port, 1 dmz/internet port

    Internet port: 20.20.20.20

    LAN: 192.168.2.x

I wish that the customers of the LAN rv082 in order to access the printer on the network local rv016 and use the rv016 as another connection (optional). I prefer that the customer rv016 not be able to access the rv082.

    Ideas?

This can be done easily with a tunnel VPN between the RVs, especially since both are on static public IP.

Create a new 'Gateway to gateway' tunnel, use the settings "To set up local groups" a router as 'Remote Group Setup' on the other and vice versa. "IPsec" settings must be the same on both routers. As soon as the tunnel is connected, you should be able to access the printer, but also all the other devices of these two networks.

  • RV016 router blocks the wireless reception

We cannot access our wireless modem because it blocks the Cisco router.  When I try to access the router through a browser, I get a message that the router blocks access.  HELP!

Hi Jeannette. The RV016 isn't a wireless product. If you are able to connect with a wired connection and browse the internet without problem, the RV016 isn't the cause of the problem for the wireless. The wireless box would be the culprit if your wired connections have no problems.
