Linksys WES610N receive Verizon 4 G Jetpack?

I need a router that can receive the signal of my 4G Verizon Jetpack so that I can send signals to the items that require a cat5 cable. Can do WES610N or who can?

I think that WES610N can meet your need. This wireless bridge can extend your network via a wired connection and wireless. The ethernet port 4 port on its back will allow you to connect your devices wired on your network through this wireless bridge. pfsjmhall,

Configure your wireless router to use these recommended wireless router settings, I use channel 11. I would use a new SSID to connect easier.

Then configure the Linksys print server. Find your network to give your passkey (password)

Then set up the printer, choose network and follow the instructions.

  • Linksys E1200 with Verizon Fios Actiontec

Hello. I bought the E1200 Linksys because it is Wireless N and the guest account. Please help me configure my new router Linksys E1200 to use for Wireless N instead of my Verizon Fios provided Actiontec (model place M4124-WR), which is only G wireless, and so that I can use the guest account. I have an ethernet cable from one of the 4 ethernet ports on the E1200 to one of the 4 ports LAN on the Actiontec. I have the wireless off on the Actiontec and have the E1200 defined as 192.168.1.200.

My Wireless N signal seems to work very well in the E1200 and I managed to activate the account invited on the E1200 and 'connect' on my iPhone 4, but then when I open Safari I can't connect to the internet.

Thanks for trying to help, but I had worked after a phone call with a cisco/linksys support person. I had to make the following changes:

The default gateway on Linksys E1200 after a hard reset is 192.168.1.1... I had to change the default gateway on Linksys E1200 to 192.168.5.1

Connected to port LAN 1 of the Actiontec to the Internet on the Linksys E1200 port.

Connected to the computer to port LAN 1 Linksys E1200.

Off the Linksys E1200 and the modem (Actiontec) for 30 seconds. Then, back on the Actiontec until what the internet light turned on, and then turned back on Linksys E1200.

Made sure that the wireless security page has been set to WPA2/WPA Mixed Mode because apparently the acct comments not use WPA WPA2.

  • Help for my new E2500 router port forwarding

My hosting web home used to work. But due to new ISP from Verizon to TWC, TWC gave me a modem-router and I bought my own router Linksys E2500. Verizon and services of TWC, that I subscribed are dynamic IP address. I use a third party to redirect web traffic to my house.

TWC gave me a simple modem-router in one box. An entry is coaxial and outputs are 4 ethernet ports. I use one of the 4 outputs of the TWC ethernet box to connect to the internet the E2500 input ethernet port. All my sons and wireless devices are now feeding the E2500. All wireless and wireline devices works and can surf the internet through the E2500.

I have assigned to one computer as the web server and the internal IP Address of this computer as 192.168.1.128 addess. The same goes for the installer with Verizon before.

I loaded him comes from CD with the router E2500 and see the LAN 192.168.1.128.

My problem starts from there, I do not know how to set the port in E2500 192.168.1.128 to web traffic

    1. using the CD E2500, I click on 'APPLICATION AND GAMES', then 'SIMPLE PORT FORWARDING'. under the NAME of the APPLICATION, I select one box for HTTP and type in 128 under "IP ADDRESS". I then click on ACTIVE, then 'save settings '. The 192.168.1 is set in this window, I can type only 128.

It does not work. I can browse the internet, but can not access my site of all machines using domain name.

    Then I tried:

2 to point 1 above, I continued to Setup > BASIC SETUP > DHCP RESEVERSATION. I can see the name of calculation/sever and the 192.168.1.128. Then, I click on the "select" and save the customer.

I rebooted the computer/server, I disconnect and reconnect power E2500. I check the internal IP address of the server, and it's always the same. But I can't just browse my site. I can browse other places.

No idea what's wrong on my fault? Help, please.

Your modem is a router. All incoming internet requests end up on the modem/router. You must configure the port forwarding on the modem/router first before the E2500 will see nothing incoming from the internet.

    Alternatives:

    1. turn the modem/router mode 'bridge', which turns into a simple modem. You can connect directly to the internet with your E2500.

    2. place the E2500 as simple access point and keep the modem/router as your main and single router. Then any transmission is made on the modem/router.

  • Help with WRT54GS on FiOS (ethernet, no coaxial cable)

Hey guys, I'm new here and just try to get help with this insoluble problem that I started having with my Linksys WRT54GS and Verizon FiOS last week.

To simplify my story complete and real question here, I put it all points to try to make it simpler to understand:

-In the fall of 2007, I switch from Comcast to Verizon FiOS after getting screwed on waiting for two weeks and never get a new router, that one was fried in a storm

-Little brother spills the first Actiontec router and it breaks

Actiontec wireless - replacement of the router is non-existent (MI42WR)

-After trying fill the Linksys for the Actiontec, it turns out to be a pain much more than a real solution to the lack of wireless

-Past of the coaxial cable to the full ethernet cat5 last year to use Linksys WRT54GS
-Fortunately directly connected to ONTARIO to Linksys WRT54GS via ethernet cat5 for a year while the wireless is perfect for other computers

    (last week)

-Off router Linksys for a night the week last to give him a night's rest
N ' unable to connect to Verizon with WRT54GS old or new router WRT54GL (which I'm now back)

-HAVE ethernet light outside still has a green light indicating that it is working
-Do not fill the Actiontec and Linksys again
-I don't want to go back to the use of the Actiontec for what anyone, but stuck with it for now
-A reset the router, computer connection and DHCP has published many times, but nothing helps

-A updated my WRT54GS firmware before you type this and still nothing

-No connection to any Linksys router, but the works of Actiontec

I can't think of a solution except maybe try one of another company, as D-Link... (sad face) I'm already back the new router Monday, since I don't believe that my WRT54GS is broken even if it is not connected. If I don't think that maybe Verizon has done something that is not allowing one of my Linksys routers to connect, because fortunately, they started to charge me an extra $10-12 on FiOS bill without notice. Although at this stage, I have a hard time believing that even switch to another router company and use their products will do everything for me...

Right now, I am suffering with this router Verizon terrible stock and my parents and aunt are complained about these last two weeks. I hope that someone here knows what may be the real problem that can sound with little assistance.

Ah, found the solution work for a guy who had exactly the same problem as me, but with a D-Link router.

"The best solution is to go to the ethernet connections and click Cancel, the green light on the actiontec to go yellow, unplug it in this State." Disconnect the battery power and the BBU. Put the new router in place, reconnect battery and BBU, then taken power for the new router.

Just releasing and switching router should work but if it is not these steps work. »

Thank you for at least trying to help me to abandoned.

  • Hurts when I added another computer

I currently have a WRT54GS version 6.  This unit worked well for 2 years.  I bought it for my laptop.  I recently installed a Linksys wireless receiver in an old desktop computer.  I used the option of easy setup on the second computer, which asked me to push the "Cisco" button on the router.  The second unit of office now works fine... but my laptop does not start on the wireless signal (even if she shows that she receives the signal).  My daughter portable computer has the same problem.  The two laptops worked very well before the "quick installation".  The two laptops they are reciveing a "excellent" signal

How to get back to the old settings?  After the "quick installation", I noticed the reconfiguration has also changed the name of my network (the new name is Linksys_ses_59310).

    Thanks for your help...

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 freezes constantlys

    Hello

A week before, we bought an Officejet Pro 8600 and set up for a wireless connection.  Everything worked well for several days.  Then, slowly and more and more frequently, the printer started to freeze everything simply.  Sometimes it would freeze with the screen off (sleep), sometimes it would freeze with the display on.  This began the case more often.  Thinking there was a problem with the printer (and accepted by the people at the Staples store where I bought it), we swapped out for another of the same model.  I brought the new House and put all this and got, it works.  Within hours, the same thing started to happen with this one!  Now, it freezes every few minutes.  Now, when I say freezes, I want to say nothing does, and he's simply stuck as he was at this time.  Even the power button does not respond.  To get going again, the only is to unplug it, wait 15 seconds and plug it in again.

I downloaded and installed the new software available for the printer and the computer required for this printer.  I have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet with nothing in between.  No extension, no bar Strip, no surge protector.

My computer is a HP Pavilion TouchSmart all-in-One running Windows 8.1 the printer and the computer are both connected to a Verizon MiFi's Jetpack for internet access.  They also communicate with each other through the network.  My laptop communicates very well with the printer via the Jetpack.  Both the desktop and the laptop and tablet of my daughter perfectly communicate via wifi direct printer, too.

When the printer is not frozen, everything works perfectly.  But it's obviously something here, in this environment since this second printer does exactly the same thing.

    Someone at - it ideas?

This printer is now online since Monday and has worked perfectly.  This seems to be an acceptable around the problem work until they can find a way to make the printer compatible with the Jetpack connection type.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 to JetPack 4 G - LTE Verizon connection

Hi, as you can probably guess I am trying to connect my HP Officejet Pro 8600 to my Verizon Wi - Fi hotspot.  I tried to use the "Wireless Setup Wizard.  When prompted I chose the correct network and entered the password.  After a while the printer is:

    Successful connection

    IP: No link

    Network name: not applicable

followed by a host name and the MAC address of the printer.  When I try to view the wireless connection window shows that I am not connected (suspect). Then I printed the 'wireless network test results.  It reports "no problems found. Our congratulations for the successful your printer wireless installation. "and the everything under the"Results of Diagnostics"section. In the "Current Configuration" section the correct SSID is displayed, but the IP address is 0.0.0.0 (which means that I am not connected?).

Also, I checked the page of configuration of the Jetpack and MAC filtering is disabled.

Is it possible to connect this printer to a Jetpack from Verizon (MiFi)? If so, what am I doing wrong?

Looks like the printer connects to the network, simply do not receive all IP information.

I'll give you the simplest solution that usually resolves this problem.  For best results, be sure to follow them in order.

    1. turn off the power the JetPack.

2 turn off the power to the printer, while he is the 1 minute.

    3. turn on the JetPack and wait for the network connection back to the top.  This can be easily identified when other devices start to reconnect to it.

4 reconnect the power to the printer and wait for the home screen to finish loading.

    5. press on the antenna icon, and then select settings.

    6. scroll and select default network.

    7. once that is completed, reconnect the printer to the network with the wireless configuration wizard.

DHCP, dynamic host configuration protocol, is responsible to assign IP information to the devices automatically as they connect.  It is possible to connect to a network without DHCP, there just won't be any communication unless the IP settings are defined manually.

I am not really the answer that I received from Verizon on the SSLv3 Protocol and why it won't work with Thunderbird, but they insisted that I contact Mozilla. I do not use a verizon email, but one configured for my Web site.

  • Can't send or receive emails through Verizon server after update to Thunderbird

After update to Thunderbird, Verizon server no longer recognizes my password, then authentication keeps failing. I can't send or receive e-mail. Account settings are correct. Any ideas? Thank you.

    Hello

We went from DSL to FIOS. As a result, I received a new email address, but arranged with Verizon to use my original lequipetv.fr e-mail address. I had no access to mail the original account for several weeks after the conversion to FIOS. For some reason, at that time, that I've updated Thunderbird, the original e-mail address and the password were no longer recognized by Verizon. After working with them, they were able to restore access. But then, later that day, I was unable to open a session. Back to Verizon... went through the same procedure and got things restored again. It has been a few days now. If all goes well, it will continue to do so indefinitely.

I have a 6 s with Verizon iPhone. Can I send/receive calls (using this service and calls on other devices functionality) on my iPhone 5s, who was with AT & T service, but has no service now since I switched to Verizon?

Note: I'm able to get two phones to ring with an incoming call, but the 5s consist not out. Whenever I dial a number, it says call failed.

Do not dial a number. Try to choose a contact in the contacts App and tapping on telephone button.

That said, I don't think that outgoing calls work on continuity since another iPhone. given that the iphone is designed to make calls through its own service.

Document to support that you just did not mention calls from a secondary iPhone at all, it points to Mac, iPad and iPod touch, which leads me to believe that it won't work.

It runs from devices such as iPads and Macs, who have no other way to place a cell call.
