Linksys wrt120n is not booting

Hello

I have a router linksys wrt120n for about 2 years.

last weekend, my brother he disconnected from the power and he turned his back, but the router seems stuck on the boot sequence.

flashes for a few seconds the power led on the Panel and then all four pcs lights will Flash for 1 second each of them (including power) and then clear again the power starts flashing and it does the same thing again and again and again.

I tried to use the reset on the back of the router and I managed to reach the boot loader screen but after i ' v told him to download 1.0.0.5 firmeware then he hands once again, he did just the same problem and does not seem to work.

i ' v tried to take it by default but I can't because it's just not starting...

Please help me! I don't know what to do...

I think that your router is working properly and can be brick.

Follow this link to unbrick the router. See if it works.

  • Can satellite A500-17 X - I get full speed with router Linksys WRT120N WLan?

I want to buy a "Linksys WRT120N" for my A500 - 17 X wireless router, and my question is can I get full speed with this router as 100 Mbps or more.
I don't have as much knowledge on wireless routers and that is why I ask.

    And the other question is:
This router will give me good signal in my apartment of 60 m 2 from one room to another?

    Hello

I think your question should be posted in the forum of the manufacturer of the router and not here in the forum of Toshiba.

Anyway. It seems that the Wlan WRT120N router is certified for
    IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802. 11 b, IEEE 802. 11 g, Wi - Fi CERTIFIED, IEEE 802.11n (draft 2.0)

As you can see the supported WiFi standards: 802.11 B, G and N

For your laptop s Wlan card supports Draft N, you should be able to connect to 802.11 N.

  • Linksys WRT120N constantly losing connection

I have a Linksys WRT120N wireless router that I have had for almost three years. Recently, he began to drop internet connections very randomly, sometimes several times in one hour. I lose my connection to the internet and connect locally to other laptops, then it will reconnect. It is also disconnect when wired and I have a playstation using a connection cable on the router and it loses the connection all the time as well. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is the cause, I'm sure that it is the router and not my internet service. Thank you

Try the following to get the improved signal strength:

    # Open the browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 which will open the router configuration page.

    # Bring back the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) of 1500 to 1400 or less (usually located on your main configuration page / database routers)

    # Do the channel width to 20 MHz only and the channel of 6, 9, 11...

    Settings wireless #Adjust the following:

    ~ ~ Reduced from 100 to 75 beacon interval

~ ~ Lower the threshold of fragmentation of 2346 to 2306

    ~ ~ Lower 2347 to 2307 RTS threshold

Now, check the status of the connectivity...

There is a Snow Leopard update that would probably help.  It's called 10.6.8 Combo update.  Download and apply.  Then discover iTunes.

  • Satellite A60 Pro is not booting

    Hello

I hope someone here can help you. I know that this laptop is old ages, but it's the only one my aunt and she would that he repaired if possible.

    Basically, the question is this.
You can start the laptop, all the normal lights light up and the screen with the Toshiba logo and 4 icons at the bottom and then... nothing.

He's sitting there for centuries, showing the logo and nothing more.
You can turn it off by holding the power button down and turn it back on again, same thing.
I did this without the disc without the optical drive and HARD. No difference.

The worst part, without a keyboard input seems to be accepted. I help ESC, F1 and F12 on separate occasions but no change - goes to the screen of tosh, no other movement.

HARD drive and optical drive turn up, as in they make noise and you can feel their displacement.

I'm at a loss and need help please!

    Phill

    Hello

If the laptop is unable to pass the Toshiba start screen, then this would mean that a serious hardware problem has been detected.
During the startup process, POST (power on self-test) is running (for the POST, you see the Toshiba start screen) and the material is checked. If that fails, the laptop would not boot the system.

I guess something is wrong with the motherboard. You can see the modules of memory, but in the case where the modules are ok, the mobo may be the troublemaker.

  • C55-b860 satellite is not booting

    Hi all

I have a Satellite laptop c55, b860 which is not booting unfortunately. I disassembled it and deleted all the components that are connected to the MB, including hard drive, keyboard, and touchpad and also changed ram, but still the laptop does not start. As soon as I connect the power (with no hard drive attached), I hear a little gurgling noise. Not even the small hard drive is lighting up so it seems that the problem is with the MB. However, I'm not sure if it's the power supply. Can anyone give some advice on this? or maybe experienced something similar? Thank you

    Any comment please?

  • Satellite A200 - 19L can not boot from the CD

    Hi guys,.

I'm glad I found this forum site, I pretty well hope to find a solution here.

Well, this problem is not very complicated, in fact my DVD player (model TS-L632) is not read more, so much so I decided to change with a new one, but it is not the same model as the original drive.
It is the case of the generic DVD player really.

Now when I inserted my recovery disk or any bootable disk is not booting the CD, and when I press F12 for I can't find any CD/DVD drive, but running in Windows I can't find the DVD player and it can read any CD priority boot normally.

Just having the problem while booting from CD.
I thought that maybe there is no security for this model that locked some hardware.
So please guys want to help me how to understand it,

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    > When I press F12 for boot priority I can't find any CD/DVD drive, but running in Windows I can find the DVD player and it can normally read any CD.

The whole story seems really strange to me
If you access the BIOS, you can see the details of the CD/DVD drive? The drive is recognized properly?

If not then I guess that the STRANGE inserted is not totally compatible due to different master/slave/c-salt settings.

    > but running in Windows I can find the DVD player and it can normally read any CD
It s also strange to me so that the CD/DVD drive appears in Device Manager even if the CD/DVD drive Startup menu option does not appear.

    But first check the BIOS

  • Satellite L300-1AS - error PXE - boot error - will not boot from USB

Startup error - error PXE-L300 1AS - will not boot from USB

I recently bought a new HD to replace the original that my laptop takes an hour to load.

I put the new drive hard at in the BIOS setting, I chose to boot from USB... USB is recognized as it appears on the screen of the BIOS. I disabled the LAN option as it gives me PXE error... I think that the USB files are not read. as I handed the old HD and attached to boot from USB but it just goes to the start screen.

I thought that perhaps I bought the wrong HD, but a new appeared on the BIOS setting... I'm a bit confused and would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction...

Any help or advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.
    Abul

New HARD drive has nothing to do with it. Problem must be your USB key.
In your ad you didn t wrote what is on it, and we don t know if USB can operate as boot device or not.

I put t know what OS you want to install right now but original recovery DVDs or use Microsoft installation disc and install Win7 32 bit. I ve installed on friends L300 and it works perfectly.

  • CQ61-312SA: Presario CQ61 does not boot, black screen.

    In setting in motion:

    • LEDs LED power supply front and button cases NIP
    • Wireless LED lights
    • Above the touchpad LED lights continuously
    • LEDS near caps lock and above paved digital flash streaming
    • No sign of drive activity, no fan noise, the screen remains black.

Looks like it is not booting in the BIOS.

    However, I tried:

    • Remove the battery, button to power down etc.
    • Remove each RAM module and Exchange.
    • Remove the HARD drive

NB symptoms are the same when the power supply plugged in or not.

I believe that the flashing LEDs are important but I the only references I can find are telling me to contact the HP Support.

Can anyone tell if this is likely to be a failure of a repairable component.

I was hoping to identify the component that prevents the laptop to even start the BIOS but I guess I'll have to just it's bin.

  • Z575 will not boot from the hard drive or restore DVD

Need help on a laptop Z575 age of 2 years that immediately after an automatic update of windows, will not start either from the hard disk or restore DVDs (blue screen). Does not start in safe mode, not booting from a rescue of third party DVD. Attempt to start, it will show you the ability to start the Startup Repair tool. Repair shows that it is unable to fix with the detail following problem error messages:
Signature of the problem 1: 6.1.7600.16385
    Signature of problem 2: 6.1.7600.16385
Signature of the problem 3: unknown

    Signature of the problem 6:7
Signature of the 7 problem: bad driver
    OS version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1

Normally think that the hard drive has failed or that windows update caused a software problem, but the inability to boot from any restore disk that makes me think that there is another serious problem with the hardware of the laptop.

Any help would be appreciated. THX

Additional note: when you try to boot from a restore disc, blue screen, error message:
    Stop: 0x0000007B (0xF78DA640, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
It is a hardware failure that cannot be restarted soft.

I also removed the hard drive and RAM, reinstalled and rebooted, no change.

Additional note: I was able to access the hard drive with a recovery of old program, focused on the (SpaceFM) ram charged through the DVD player. Hard drive data appears intact. Still does not start from the hard disk or a DVD of windows system.

Thank you. Rather than buying a 4 GB or more large key USB comes from put this into hard drive replacement. Installed correctly, boots very well now. No other error of the optical drive... and no explanation I can see, but that's it.

Unless something else pops up we'll just call cela a HARD drive failed after 2 years of common use. Thanks again.

  • my XP is not booting (white screen) and crashes at isapnp.sys then in safe mode.

My XP Home Edition is not booting (white screen) and crashes at isapnp.sys then in safe mode. Please help as soon as possible because I need this platform for school!

What is your system brand and model?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

The symptom often means that your system is of a malicious software.

With this particular symptom of hanging on isapnp.sys in Mode safe is to search for a driver of zero-byte length file in the c:\windows\system32\drivers folder.

Of course, you have to boot the system on something in order to access the hard drive to find the suspicious file and get rid of it.

If you have any installation CD bootable XP real where you start in the XP Recovery Console, or you are not sure what type of bootable CD, you have,
make a CD of bootable XP Recovery Console or Hiren Boot CD and don't forget.

There is no XP media needed to make a Hiren Boot CD or a bootable XP Recovery Console.  You can access the folder and check if
There is this action suspect file and take.

Once you're booted to the CD of your choice, navigate to the following folder (assuming that XP is installed on your C volume):

    c:\Windows\System32\Drivers

Looking for a file that ends with an extension .sys and zero bytes in length.  The file can also have a curious name because she may have been generated at random.

If you are in the XP Recovery Console, issue the following command in the c:\windows\system32\drivers folder:

    dir *.sys

Files Scrolls one screen at a time.  Look at the list of files with .sys extensions and their lengths.  You don't need to
worry about directories...  If you see a file with a .sys extension which is zero byte, it is suspect.

If you use just the Mini XP Mode a Hiren boot CD (which works as Office XP), navigate to the folder of the my
Computer desktop icon and locates the suspect files.

You really want to remove the suspicious file once you get running and you run some scans for malware, but if you are
not sure what is the suspicious file or if it might be necessary, just rename the suspicious file for now, in case you are not sure.

For example, if you find zigxrtml.sys folder had a length of zero byte, rename it:

    Rename zigxrtml.sys zigxrtml.bad

Renaming or removing the suspicious file to get the system running is not resolved the problem.  It is the symptom of the problem.

The problem is your system is infected by malicious software and you should always follow up with a few scans to remove infections.

Once your system is running, followed with MBAM and SAS to be sure that the affliction has really been removed.

Reduce the risk of malware by running some scans.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs can solve any problems:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

It can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans by operating clean, restart, test your task manager and we can repair any other pending issues.

Do, or do not. There is no test.
