Linksys WRT330N Wireless Gaming Router

Hello, I am looking for a game wireless router, and I found the Linksys WRT330N to be what I'm looking for (the fact that it can prioritize packets sent for game purposes). Although it seems not that Linksys makes this product more. So I was wondering what produces that Linksys factory is currently what the WRT330N was capable of. Thank you.

While I'm not sure how robust QoS is on the WRT330N, E2000 and E3000 both have quality of service, as well as Gigabit Ethernet and Wireless-N features, like the WRT330N.

The main difference between E2000 and E3000 is no. vice of storage USB USB storage capabilities and non-dual band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) Dual-Band (2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz simultaneously) vice.  Both also have like the WRT330N MiMo

  • 4600 pro connects to the Linksys WAG354 Wireless router!

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 with internal wireless card. I'm trying to connect to my Linksys WAG354 wireless router. The laptop seems to connect but only get a connection status ' Limited or no connectivity "note computer says it has problem because the network has not assigned a network address of the computer.

I called Linksys, but the call center do not have a lot of help! They said that I should update the driver for the Toshiba wireless... I did that, but still the same problem.

I am running windows XP. I have two other laptops connected to the router WAG354 and they work fine.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Hello

I agree with Michael. I think that some false setting is responsible for this. If your network is visible for the laptop, the features of the card are OK and the problem parameters.

  • Can't make an Apple iPod Touch to connect to my new Linksys WRT54GL Wireless router.

    Hello.

I'm trying to set up the iPod Touch (bought for more than a year; using v2.2 (5 G 77) firmware) of the of my client to connect to my new encrypted Linksys WRT54GL Wireless router. After we entered the password (too many sensitive cases and WPA shared key) as five times, he said "Failed to join"FooBarWRT54GL"" immediately.

The router uses the latest firmware v4.30.13 with these wireless settings:
Wireless network mode: Mixed (you want to support the devices/clients and B).
Wireless Network Name (SSID) example: FooBarWRT54GL
    Wireless channel: 1-2, 412 GHZ
    Security mode: WPA2 Personal
    WPA algorithms: TKIP + AES
Example of WPA Shared key: Abunchofletters aspacetoo

I guess that this device can do WPA Personal as she saw the WAP and requested a password. We have not had any problems with a year old 15 "MacBook Pro (2.4 Ghz and Mac OS X 10.5.8) and it's easy as cake.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

I finally got to work, with the help of Apple at the forum: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10650288... I had to do a manual configuration. Don't know why selecting the WAP and entering his password/password didn't work.

    Finally a resolution...

I tried running an ePrint of New York telephone, and it worked, but still no luck wirelessly from the PC printing.

He said that the WiFi was indeed working.  So, I did a search for new firmware and found that there was one in April of this year (2016).  Downloaded and took a chance on install.  To my amazement, it is actually installed on the printer without any connection "connected".  Who told me that there is an existing wireless link.

Once the install is complete firmware, I tried to print a worksheet Excel from the PC, and it actually printed!  I have to assume there was something in the formware upgrade which allowed the router from LinkSys (WRT1900AC) to communicate fully and to work with the PC.  The router was published in 2014, so maybe it was.

In any event, everything is in fully working again.

Man y thanks to all who have shared their data entry.  I hope this could help someone with a similar problem in the future.

    Thanks again!

  • Problem with wireless B USB adapter unable to connect to wireless G router.

Hi, I had a LInksys Wireless - B 802 adapter. 11B with a computer Win XP and Win 7 Wireless-G Notebook, both to connect to a Linksys Wireless-G Router WRT54G2.

The Win 7 Wireless - G Notebook no problem to establish the connection to the router. My 802-11b can detect the network Win XP, but cannot establish a connection witht the router. He always acquires IP and then drop out. I re - install the driver and it still the same.

Originally, I had the WPA-2 personal habit, the 802. 11 b cannot acquire the same IP but you can see the USSID. After that I switched to WPA-Personal, the 802. 11 b try to acquire intellectual property, but fail to connect.

Pls help. Thank you very much

If the model number of B-adapter linksys WUSB11 then WPA security does not work as the WUSB11 support only WEP.

  • I have a HP officejet K-550dtn. New wireless n router. I can't get the router to see the printer.

This printer used to work properly as a network using Actiontec or Linksys printer b/g router.  I upgraded my network for a 802.11n system and I cannot get the new router to see the printer.  After several hours of fighting, I find that the printer configuration page shows its IP address as 192.168.1.103.  Unfortunately, the DHCP server on the new router uses address 192.168.0.100 - 192.168.0.200 only.

The disc that came with the printer does not work in one of my computers, because the BONE is newer than Win XP.

Any ideas on how I can change the internal IP address of the printer to something the router will recognize?

I wouldn't get rid of this printer, since it is always does a great job.

(I can still print to the printer with a computer server network address to which it is connected by a USB cable, but requiring everyone goes up to this computer before making the print command in order to ensure that it is not hibernation.)  If I can't print directly via the router, I think I will return the router and go slowly until I can't take it anymore.

    Thank you

I finally understood that.  Here's how, in case someone else meets this.

I don't mention that there is a Verizon FIOS router behind the wireless-n router, and it uses the model of 192.168.1.XXX.

On a hunch, I ping the FIOS router, and there was a response.  The K-550 ethernet cable was plugged into the wireless n router and I tried it ping 192.168.1.103.  No response.  I then connected the ethernet printer cable in one of the connectors of the FIOS router replacement.  He ping again and got 4 beautiful quick returns.

I moved to one of the computers on the wireless network and checked to see if the printer was there.  Joy!  There were two cases.  One was the connection recently configured via the USB port on the server computer.  The second was through the previously used x.x.x.103 port.  I can print using this forum, and I made it the default printer.

It had not occurred to me to use a port across the wireless n router.

  • Can what comparison be made between time capsule and Smart RG s505 wireless modem router for wifi

Can what comparison be made between time capsule and Smart RG s505 wireless modem router for wifi

    Superior...

After all, the chip is mainly a modem.

Wireless is there but not designed as the primary connection.

Wireless 802.11n 300Mbps AP with 2 x 2 MIMO Wireless bridge, WDS multiple SSID, including isolated invited SSID WiFi QoS (WMM) and PowerSave wireless security: • Wi - Fi Protected Access (WPA, WPA2) • AES, TKIP, WEP encryptio

It is the Wireless N standard.

The TC is dual-band simultaneous AC1750... even if in fact apple never leaves anything use 300mbit on the 2.4 GHz is more like AC1450... It is also 3 streams on both bands not 2 x 2.

    The fact that aid.

The only thing to note is that a router from Apple can join never a router wireless not apple... so, there must always be plugged in by ethernet.

  • HP deskjet 2540: stop page print quality and 'use printer wireless without router' printing

After installing the hp deskjet printer 2540, all operating systems (vista, windows, mac os, windows 8) correctly printed.

I would like to prevent the printing of print quality page whenever the printer is on and to prevent print also the page "use printer wireless without router" (it would be better not to waste the ink).

Thanks for any help you can provide

    Hi there @lesart55.

    Welcome to the HP community!

I have seen your post on how your Deskjet 2540 prints a page of print quality every time that the printer is on, and also the page "use printer wireless without router" is printing.

I'll start with the PQ page that prints at the start of the printer, as it is normally a sign of a hardware problem with the printer.

Try to update the firmware on the printer. Here is the link to download and run the update using a USB connection to your Vista system: HP Deskjet 2540 series Firmware update

Try a reset of the power to the printer and make sure the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help greatly.

Press the power button to turn the product on.
With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

If the PQ page always print after you are done troubleshooting, try the steps outlined in this guide below. I looked at the steps that I see would take place in the tent for your specific problem and chose the steps following, Please do not take account of the actual title.

An "Incompatible cartridge or"Missing cartridge"Error Message is displayed for HP Deskjet 1510, 2540 Deskjet, HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1510 and Deskjet Ink Advantage 2540 all-in-One Series Printer"

I hope that the problem has been cleared up for you at this stage. If this isn't the case, please call us directly to discuss your options of the printer!

  • Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver - this is going to work with a remote xbox?

Hi, I have the xbox 360 Wireless gaming receiver and I am trying to get a remote control for it.  Does the xbox 360 remote sync to the xbox or is it just regular IR

    Thanks for your help

The xbox 360 remote control Infra-red, the 360 has an IR receiver port.

The wireless gaming receiver is radio only, so will not pick up the remote control. There isn't AFAIK a 'remote control' for the wireless receiver such that it has a validity of the Protocol only for xbox 360 Wireless devices, although there are a lot of 3rd inventive party accessories available, there might be something. You can of course use one of these wireless devices as a remote for other applications with the right software (xpadder, beam, etc.).

The Xbox 360 remote control can be used with a PC using an IR receiver, but it's not plug-and-play, here is a solution: http://www.redmondpie.com/using-xbox-360-ir-remote-with-vista-media-center/

Other that that, there are a multitude of remotes for PC, IR and wireless (including bluetooth). Bluetooth is the option if you want to keep your number of receivers plugged into your pc to a minimum, however, IR is still much better for the battery of remote controls (why it is still used despite the benefits of the radio).

  • Question and Wireless N router and Extender G

    Hi all

I would like to install internet ADSL2 + wireless in a hotel. I was thinking of doing this:

Buying a router Wireless N ADSL2 + and extending it by buying a Wireless Extender G. Now when you visit the Extender G page it indicates the routers supported etc, only G routers are listed. Routers Wireless N do not work?

If someone has a better idea to solve my problem please, say so.

Internet to the 1st floor and must be extended to 4 other floors. The 1st floor to ceiling 2nd floor should not be a problem and the 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 4th should also not be a problem.

Just buy a router Wireless G with Speedbooster and 3-4 Wireless G expanders?

    Thank you!

Yes the Wireless G Extender works with the wireless G router. That you are considering buying an N series router, then you can go for an Access Point WAP200, you can set this access point in Repeater mode, and it will solve your purpose.
