Linksys wrvs4400n - wireless local access network

I have an ASA 10.10.100.0/24 to my LAN address assignment. The router of course gets his IP on the same subnet. I need wireless currency to be able to access the LAN.

How?

Thank you! Brian

If I understand you correctly, the question you ask yourself boils down to "how to use my WRVS4400N as access point? For lower range wireless routers, the answer is, disable the DHCP server on the wireless router and connect the router wireless for the rest of your local network via its LAN [not its WAN port] port. As most of the wireless routers fill their WLAN and LAN, it should work properly. If the WRVS4400N fill the LAN and WLAN, it won't work.

  • Satelite C50 - B cannot connect to wireless local area network

My brand new straight out of the box Satelite C50 - B cannot connect to my wireless network, when you are running Windows 8.1.

When you run the wizard for the first time user, it was unable to connect to my network to register. And I have been unable to connect after starting the OS, even if my thread was visible and the signal strength would be strong. I entered the security network key, but the message came back "unable to connect to this network.

However, when I started on a USB key to run Linux Mint 17.1, it took less than 5 seconds to connect to my wireless network. If the Toshiba hardware work properly, as also my wireless LAN.

If I plug in a network cable, same Windows connects to my network and Internet.

However, given that the C50 - B satellite comes with Windows 8.1 both of wireless capabilities, I was hoping someone here might be able to help me get a wireless connection in Windows.

It's really strange. I have S50 - B and WLAN works properly. I used my laptop connected to several different networks and everything was OK.
You can try to test with different wireless LANs?
Have you checked all the WLAN settings?
    Try restarting your router.

I mean if your laptop can detect WLAN, this means that the hardware is enabled and working properly. There must be a problem with the WLAN settings.

Also check the advanced power settings, and then set it to maximum power WLAN.

I tried the update of the driver for the Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network wireless adapt and not much happened!

I'm not in portable computers in a big way so any advise given better would become simple?

  • Atheros AR5007 wireless network adapter will give me only non-local local access and internet access. Any help please.

Not sure if the problem is hardware or software. Reinstalled Vista (32 bit) and all programs. Make sure that the appropriate driver has been installed at HP. Can access the internet via ethernet, but wireless is detected with excellent resistance but will only give local access. I would be grateful for any feedback. In addition, it used to work properly. Not sure what happened to bring about change.

I'm fighting this same question for months.  I fixed it just a few minutes ago.  I had been looking for Bulletin Board after Board.  Here's what I did - I hope it helps.

Enter the network and sharing Center

  • Local access only on wireless network

My laptop (Toshiba Satellite L350-203 with Vista SP1 HPE) has lost the ability to connect to the internet using my home network. I have McAfee Internet Security and charge of IE8, but both were present before the problem appeared. My home network is now displayed as 'unidentified public network' and the laptop has "local access only". He seems unable to keep the WEP key for the network as it asks everytime I try to connect. I confirmed that the WEP key is correct. There are 3 other computers in the House that connect without a problem, so I guess that the router is not the source of the anomaly. I tried accessing another network to another place (with any necessary safety information) but get the same result, so that other computers can connect successfully. I am able to access the internet via an account mobile broadband (using a "dongle"), but I added this account after the problem appeared, so once I don't suspect it as being the culprit. Diagnosis in the "network and sharing Center" routines are unable to solve the problem, so any help is most welcome.

    Roy Mac

    Hello Roy Mac,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

You receive an error or the error codes when you try to connect?  You're obviously network savy upward so if something seems repetitive please ignore, you tried to delete the location and replace?   Is there any software for the high account mobile broadband that could changed settings?  Are you able to connect to the router with an ethernet cable access to the internet without problem?

A wireless network uses authentication and encryption to help stay secure. Authentication controls access to the wireless network. Encryption helps to ensure that malicious users cannot determine the contents of wireless data frames.  Windows Vista includes a new wireless network configuration setting. The new setting indicates whether a wireless network is broadcast or not broadcast. You can also use the new configuration setting that a Windows Vista wireless client connects to a non-broadcast network.

I've added two links below one for Microsoft and one for the installation of networks and networks the Toshiba site.  Please let us know status.   Thank you!

The software that you used with Windows XP to connect to wireless networks is not compatible with Windows Vista. Alternatively, you can use Windows Vista to configure wireless networks.

To connect to a wireless network in Windows Vista, follow these steps:

    1. click on Start

    Collapse this includes this image

, then click on connection to.

    2. click on the wireless network you want to connect, and then click connect.

Note During the connection process, you may be prompted for a key WEP Wired Equivalent Privacy (). If you do not have this key, contact the network administrator to help wireless.

  • Local access only to my network. Tried everything!

I was waching an online TV show the other day when my internet crapped all at once on. At first he never even found my wireless network, only one called "linksys" and my neighbours networks. When I tried to connect to the linksys network, it only let me connect with local access. Now, my computer can't find my home network, but its still just get local access. Failed to get even on the computer of my father who is connected to the router and internet modem. I almost tried everything and olein helped. I looked at the status of the router on my dad PC nd, it seems a little strange to me...

    Firmware version: v3.03.6, January 6, 2005

    Current time: not available

    MAC address: 00:13:10:939:FD

    Router name: WRT54G

    IP address: 0.0.0.0

    Subnet mask: 0.0.0.0

    DNS 1:

    DNS 2:

    DNS 3:

    MTU: 1500

Whenever I had problems with the router before I always just be abe press 'disconnect' on the status page, but for some reason any that he's gone... I tried the buttons to release/renew DHCP on the page but nothing helped. And I can't download the new firmware because I can not connect to the internet on any of our computers! It is running XP, by the way, my Vista laptop. Thanks for any help. I'll feel stupid if the fix is something really simple and stupid...

If you had a "Disconnect" button before and now only a 'rescued' button, then it seems as if your router lost its configuration. You must disconnect if the router is configured for PPPoE connection (usually on the DSL lines). You must renew if the router is configured for automatic/DHCP (usually on cable lines).

Is it possible that your router wireless network also returned to 'linksys' without wireless encryption? It would be a clear indication that the configuration has been lost.

I suggest that you reset the router by default to clear any other remnants of your configuration. Press reset for 30 seconds on the power button. Check the lights on the router for the activity where the button is broken.

After the reset, I suggest that upgrade you to the latest firmware if available. You need to download the firmware in one of your computers file. Then connect the computer to the router. Open the web interface and use the Firmware Upgrade works somewhere on the Administration tab download the new file of the firmware on your router and let him finish the upgrade. After the update of the firmware, do an another factory reset (reset button of 30 seconds) to make sure that you have a consistent state.

After the reset reconfigure your router via the web interface. Still, if you have a DSL, you will probably need PPPoE. You must enter a user name and password used for your internet connection (perhaps supplied by your ISP). Once you have changed to PPPoE and entered the good name of user and password of the router should connect again.

After that, don't forget to secure your router: change the default SSID "linksys" to something unique. Select the WPA2 or WPA Personal with a good password. Also, remember to change the password "admin" to your router on the Administration page.

Hello, I recently changed my broadband provider, and I have a new router, the wireless connection (IPv4) on the display of my laptop displays like local access only and custom to connect to the ' net. • unidentified network and local access only

We have a wireless connection and our router is realtek. However, our network is unidentifyable! He said that it is a public network and gives local access only. When an ethernet cable is plugged into our computer to the router connect to the local network overrides this and we have local and internet connection.

What is the problem that causes our network to not be recognized? I tried to diagnose and repair and renew the IP address, and none of these work.

    Its very frustrating...

    Thank you
    Christina

    Hello CJ135,

Please make sure that your computer is configured toe "obtain an IP address automatically".

Open (run as administrator) command prompt and enter the following commands...

    -netsh winsock reset

    -nbtstat - rr

    -netsh int ipv4 reset

    Restart you computer *.

    Method 2

If you would please check that you have installed SP1 you Vista computer and on the XP computer you have installed SP3?  So that you can make networking 2 computers successfully, they must be on the latest Service packs.  Just click Start and right click on computer and go to properties.  This will tell you what Service Pack you are running.  While windows are open.  would you please check the name of working group on both computers.  It is imperative that all the computers on your network are on the same workgroup.  For example, Vista default workgroup is labeled "Task force" and working XP Group is labeled "MSHOME".  So that both computers to interface with success, the workgroup name must be the same.  In addition, please make sure that 'everyone' has full control on the folder and the shared folder.  If you please you would follow with me as best as possible, I'd be very happy.

    Method 3

If you have a 3rd party software such as Norton or Mcafee security, disable temporarily and attempt to connect.

Please check if you are able to connect to the internet.  If you please you would follow with me as best as possible, I'd be very happy.
