list of sbRIO Eval Board of e/s

I work with the sbRIO eval kit (http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/211116) and I can't seem to find details on the output pin. The eval Board comes with a daughter card to interface the easy I/O, but I can't find any details on what DIO are connected to what buttons push-button and LED and what DIO control the LCD etc... Basically to research to find a spindle of the sbRIO mapping to the daughter card.

Thank you

Hello Merc_Bert,

If please look at this picture of DIO Port mappings and let me know if you have other questions.

Thank you!

  • Interfacing engine Lego NXT sbRIO-9636 Eval Board

    Hello

As a newbie to sbRIO, I would build a simple Quadrature counter.

Recently, I attended the great build your own Embedded system workshop and have a sbRIO-9636 running a updated the Quadrature counter sample project AND originally designed for the sbRIO-9631.  He works a lot using the digital encoder built into the daughter card.

Then, I want to use a Lego Mindstorms NXT motor (PN 9842) encoder.  I will feed the outboard motor so for now I just up/down count the encoder.  Here is the wiring that I intend to use on the map of my daughter:

Channel that has the encoder (yellow wire) will go to DI2
Channel B (blue wire) of the encoder will go to the DI3
Common 0V (red wire) goes to DGND
+ 5V (green wire) will go?

So my question: is there a point on the map the sbRIO-9636 girl, I can securely connect to for + 5V power of encoder?  Moreover, these colors of son are Lego Mindstorms extension cables when they are cut and stripped.

    Any help would be appreciated!
    jimmyservo

According to the quick reference for the sbRIO 9636: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/375933a.pdf

There seems to be + 5V on 49 and 50 of the J502 connector pins. This connector is available, or you use a daughter card?

Other options would be more hackers IMO, such as the drawing of the USB connector 5V.

  • CAN-bus interface on RIO Eval Board

I am trying to use the interface on the assessment board sbRIO CAN. I installed the driver from RIO 101 shipped package, and the "Embeded CAN for sbRIO" functions are now on the range of functions. However when I place a CAN function on the block diagram, a popup appears, and Labview trying to locate a dll called rioembeddedlvapi.dll without success. It is possible to say "Ignore the point" and he gives up and puts the item on the block diagram.  Anyone know what is happening here, and whether or not it can just be ignored?  Thank you

I was able to solve the problem on the RIO evaluation board to remove and reinstall the embedded RIO CAN package. Something must have been corrupted.

  • input analog sbRIO to-1V

    Hey guys,.

I have a question about the SBRIO9636 with the eval Board. Analog is configured + 1V single ended. Now, if I read the analog input and it is not inserted into the port of signal, it me gives-1V, why he doesn't give me 0V? As a constant value, I can't imagine problems EMV.

If there is a signal inserted it works fine.

    Kind regards

    Slev1n

If the signal is physically disconnected, it will float.

  • LV embarked aboard Luminary lm3s8962 Eval written not reliable on SD card

I use LV embedded for ARM (2010) and a Luminary LM3S8962 eval Board. When you try to write in the built-in micro SD card it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. To verify that I did no mistake, I took the example of SD_Card_Write.vi and slightly modified with a while loop around it with the same result (see attachment).

I use Kingston 2 GB micro SD cards. They are NOT of type HC. The cards have been formatted with FAT16 and FAT32 without success.

Someone at - it an idea how to solve this problem?

    Thanks and regards,

    Philippe

    Problem is solved!

Use 512 MB SD cards. Difficult to find at the same time...

    Kind regards

  • For Hiroto

    Hi Hiroto,

To remove the badges in the responses of the CSA, I tried, in vain, to insert a single line of code in the new CSS 0.62, in my CSS classes (shown below) CSA. Because I do not wish to use the full 0, 62 - that works to remove the badges - I need to find the appropriate place to insert, if possible, just this one line of code in the CSS that I use.

    game-status - level .expertise-tile {display: none! important ;}}

I tried to place, without comment, in any number of places in my current what CSA CSS, but I can't get to work. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

    533        ========================

    534

Narrow 535 is basically identical to the above screen browser except that it allows the sidebar

536 (filter column) in mode list be pushed downwards or to the broadband page layout to place the hand

537 column (column of the table) when the window is not wide enough. It is done by setting the margin on the left and

538 padding to the left of the main column to 0 and the setting max-width of the main column, which is currently 1019px.

539 accordingly, if the width of the window is less than 1265px (= 40 (left margin) + 1019 (main column) + 166

540 (sidebar colum) + 40 (right margin)), column of sidebar is pushed downwards or upwards depending on the document

order of the 541 tree. This set of rules is intended to be useful for normal narrow window whose width is in

542 rank CA. 700-1400px. It can be used for wider window as well, but there is no need to define the

543 max-width of the main column to move the sidebar column when the window is wide enough.

  • Upgrades G51

Has anyone made for access to its processor upgrades? Got the g51 as a gift and need power to edit several HD videos smoothly

Good day and welcome to the community.

Based on the information in the hardware manual: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/lenovo_g41_51-35_hmm_201505.pdf the processor is soldered to the system board, so the only option would be a swap of Council. Point #5 pages 76-77 is a list of proposed on board configurations.

    Hope this helps to clarify.

    Kind regards.

  • Can Veristand 2009 and 2010 Veristand be installed on the same computer?

I have VS2009 on my machine. I would like to install VS2010 as an eval to start porting more implementation to VS2010 before I pull the plug on VS2009. These bothe perhaps installed and functional-by-side on the same machine? Are there objections to bounce back between the two? I already have the prereqs listed on page eval VS2010 (NOR-DAQmx 9.1.5, NOR-RIO 3.5 and NOR-XNET 1.1).

On the same computer, you can have NI VeriStand 2009 and 2010. If you have developed an application in 2009, you can migrate to 2010 using the tool of mutation in 2010. However, you won't be able to open a project from 2010 in 2009. For example, if you have any custom devices or personalized workspace objects/tools they have developed in the same version of LabVIEW that NI VeriStand. In other words, NI VeriStand 2009 can only use the custom devices created in LabVIEW 2009 and NI VeriStand 2010 can use custom peripheral performance created in LabVIEW 2010.

  • What does IMAQ start?

    Hi all

What does IMAQ start? On my eval of camera position, it fails in certain circumstances, and I am trying to isolate the cause.

Reminder: There is a rating system provided to me by MAY. When I use it as they delivered, it works fine. But of course, I need to perform very differently than the design of the MAY, and that's where the trouble starts.

The system is a Lenovo ThinkCentre running Windows 7 Pro SP 1 64-bit.

NOR-1433 PCIe framegrabber, two Camera Link cables running to the eval Board.

    LabVIEW 2010 32-bit version,

    NOR-MAX version 5.5.0f0,

    NOR-IMAQ version 4.7.3,

    Camera files 3.0.1 generator

The eval system was originally designed as a step 4, CL Medium. To illustrate a concept we develop, I want to run 8-tap CL full (really, I want 10 bits 8 tap but that's another debate). I used CFG to change the original file of the ICD and saved as a new file. When I use NEITHER-Max to move to this new camera file, the program fails when IMAQ Start is called, error -1074397153 is returned. «NOR-IMAQ: impossible to detect a recognizable video source'.»»  I'll join the two files from the CIM.

    I see two possible culprits:

    (1) IMAQ start is reading of registers on the camera and find something inconsistent with the settings in the file of CIM

    (2) items in the bad file CIM contradict

Since it is a Sunday, I don't expect to get an answer very quickly, so I'll keep looking for my own solution for awhile. If I solve myself (excessively positive attitude), I'll post the solution.

    Thank you!

    Crazy

Exactly, cheese.  And what was the real problem?

    Ding ding ding ding ding!

No clock Z (or data, by the way).  It seems that someone (blush) I forgot to UN-comment the lines in the file of constraint FPGA affecting the pins on Canal Z.

The moral of the story: don't even bother of the Forum until what you watch on the "scope of application.

    See you soon!

    Crazy

Another moral: framegrabbers are looking for a clock until they try to acquire.

  • PID does not return any output...

    Hello everyone...

process sbRIO on board and using the audio and vibration Simulator

below I have attached my RT + FPGA... code to control the speed of the fan... using PID...

    RT. front panel

    set range

    1000, -1000

set point... 5000 RPM (speed is the parameter)

    PID GAINS...

the values calculated at the time of the executin arbitraty... KC = 1, gain full (Kc * Ts/Ti) = 0.011718,.

    derivative gain (Kc * Td/Ts) = 0

    other considerations

Maximum speed of the fan is 6000 RPM

tachometer on the vibration signal Simulator is 2 impulses/turns

    the speed is measured accurately

Manual disturbance can be given by varying the analog output voltage

If the pid is introduced into RT it works fine...

but, when the pid (in fpga) is introduced not able to disturb and also not output to

all other parameters is reset (final rpm, out outputanalog)

    all equal to zero

This data set is meaningless... I suggest that you check that you actually save the correct values, and you have the wired PID controller correctly upward.

There are times when (?) heated, but the speed does not change. Also there are times where speed (?) has a step increase, but there is no change in voltage. You can also see places where 5V is applied but different speeds are generated. Of course, it would be much clearer if you labeled your data, including units.

Open-loop can the system actually achieve 4000 rpm with the applied 5volts? Try to start with a set point which is at the centre of its work.

The ramps are integral single action? What gains have used here. You should try proportional only first of all, make sure that everything is working properly and then only start watching full action.

  • Module embedded LabVIEW for ARM - bidirectional i/o Ports

I want to connect a Sensirion sensor with an exclusive bus protocol to the Star 3S 8962 Eval Board. The sensor must be connected to the same pins as the I2C interface. My main problem now is, how to set up a GP IO (i.e. GPIO-PB3) as a two-way port? The sensor of the slave pulls the data line low to acknowledge the receipt of the message. I read this in my VI. But when I configure the i/o output I can't use it as input any longer.

    Thanks for any help,

    Philippe

    Hi Torben,

It was my question, how do I program the direction of the PIN. When I use a basic node to enter a unique PIN, that is not possible I knew now, because I can use one pin as input or output in a VI. But I found at the same time, that if I use the entire port, it is possible to use a basic i/o for input and one for output to the same VI. This way I can 'and' or 'or' bit set and clear simple pins and I can read in the same VI.

In any case, thanks for your efforts,.

  • Pavilion DV6 6001tx: GPU upgrade on DV6 6001tx

    Hello

    My laptop as spec below:

    HP Pavilion DV6 - product number: LN346PA

    2 GHz intel i7 2630QM

8GB RAM - added an another slot of 4 GB of RAM

AMD Radeon HD 6770 M (1 GB of DDR5 memory) - stock GPU

    750 GB SATA (5400 RPM)

I checked online, the AMD Radeon HD 6770 M GPUS have a MXM-3. 0 to slot. Appreciate if you can give advice if this laptop GPU use MXM - 3. 0 has slot or it is soldered to the motherboard. As the CPU for this laptop is able to do what I need, I just intend to upgrade the GPU so that I do graphics work that must be one more spec to the GPU, rather than buying a new workstation (which will be more expensive than upgrading the GPU).

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

Maintenance and Service Guide lists every mother/System Board for each model of videocard (on page 85). This means that the video card is welded to the motherborad. Therefore, you must buy the whole and it may cost much more than your thinking.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-DV6-entertainment-notebook-PC-series/5048664/model/5068295/manuals

    I hope this helps.

  • Update to W7 KB981793 crashes

W7 automatically updates. Tried several times to install KB981793 ("Installing Update 1 of 2") but seems to hang. Have left for several hours and no progress. This update seems to be for X 64 installations, but mine is 32 x. (don't want to update time zone anyway!)

Must turn off the computer to stop the attempt. .  . Now have updates auto reset 'ask me' but does not solve the current problem.

How to stop the update attempt?

    TIA

    Neal

    Samhrutha:

I tried all of your suggestions except for Mode installation without failure. Given that this update was not critical for me, I chose deselect update list in configuration-system board and security-Windows Update - Select updates. That in itself still does not stop the attempt to install, however, when I loaded W7 in addition to 'hide' the update, it seems to have taken out of the list at all times.

Thanks for the reply; I remember the suggestion of Mode safe if I have similar problems in future.

    (2) added "Submit the Document education" list New Hire On-Boarding in.
    (3) adds the HR_ALLOCATED_CHECKLIST_MGR_SS Manager Self Service.
    (4) created a New Hire, the checklist is attributed to the New Hire properly and enter the New Hire supervisor as a performer of the task. List of awarded correctly control but no. Notification will either the employee or supervisor. No idea what is.
