    This is precisely what concerns the environment variable "path".

    The applications that you want to be able to run in a directory on your disk to another.  If, for example, you have a dirve D:\, you could create a directory named D:\MyApps and place the executables in D:\MyApps.

    • Open the system properties (right click on my computer > properties)
    • Click the Advanced tab
    • Click the "Environment Variables" button
    • Scroll down in the "System Variables" box until you find the variable "Path".
    • Select 'Path', then click on change
    • Go to end of the text in the edit window, and then type a semicolon followed by the path to the directory you created for your applications.
    • OK your way out.

    Be careful when you change the path variable that you add only.  If you delete the existing path variable (or part of it), it is likely that something no longer works correctly.

  • HP Officejet 6500 E710: How to create desktop icon to launch the Scanner dialog box?

    I would like to create a desktop icon to launch the Scanner dialog box. I'm not a fan of the approach to Tile Windows.

    Under Windows, 8.1, there was a desktop icon which allow me to connect to my Officejet 6500 unit and allow the scan to computer option. Who disappeared with the upgrade of Windows 10.

    I ran the print and Scan doctor and it solved the problems. When I went to test scanning, it arises from the familiar dialog box where I could choose different settings.

    It worked perfectly. But after having closed the doctor, I could not find any place to launch the new dialogue box, outside the doctor.

    I downloaded and installed the scanning HP and Capture app. It works very well, but I rather not leaving office to launch it, or use it enough to justify the taskbar setting.

    Is it possible to create a desktop icon for the application of scanning and Capture

    or

    is there a way to create an icon to launch the dialog box scan that print and Scan Doctor uses?

    I prefer this one.

    Hello

    Thank you for using the HP Forums.

    Is there a way to create the shortcut to scan on your desktop. Try the following steps:

    1. open a file Explorer

    2 C: > Program Files (x 86)

    3 program Files (x 86) > HP

    4 HP > HP Officejet 6500

    5 HP Officejet 6500 > Bin

    6 bin > Scanner HP

    7. right click on the analysis of HP and "create shortcut".

    You'll get a prompt that "Windows cannot create a shortcut here.  Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?    Select "Yes".

    Hope that helps!

  • Helps the modal dialog box a value back to the calling page

    Greetings,

    Apex Version: 4.1.0.0.32

    What I'm trying to do is create a modal dialogue that is called from a form page. The user dialog box will report to IR which allow him to select a line and send a value of this line to a field of the calling page. I work in Firefox, but I get an error using IE 8. I hope that someone can show me why it does not work in Internet Explorer.

    Here's how I do it:

    Of the calling page:

    Created a button
    Action: Redirect URL
    Target URL: javascript:var rc = window.showModalDialog ('f? p = & APP_ID.:70: & SESSION.: & DEBUG.:', ",'resizable: Yes;) Center: Yes; dialogWidth:1000px; dialogHeight:500px ;') ;

    On the page called:

    The called page is an IR report where the query returns this as one of the columns:

    * (Note: I had to put a point '.' before the onclick so he could show in this thread.) It is not there in my actual code.) *
    select
    <a href="#" name="z" style="color:blue; text-decoration:underline;" .onclick="javascript:passBack(''' || LOT_NO ||''');">Select</a>' SelectThis
    , column1
    , column2
    from sometablename;
    This solves the anchor:
    <a .onclick="javascript:passBack('232158');"  href="#">Select</a>
    Here is the function Javascript is called the anchor onclick:
    function passBack(passVal1)
    {
      opener.document.getElementById("P75_ITEM1").value = passVal1;
      close();
    }
    When I run the present in Firefox, it works as expected. I click the button on the parent page. The modal dialog box is open and the report of the IR is displayed. I click on one of the links in the report and it returns the correct value to the appellant and closed page modal dialog box.

    When I run it in IE8, it fails. I click the button on the parent page. The modal dialog box is open and the report of the IR is displayed. I click on one of the links in the report and I get this error: 'opener.document is null or not an object ".

    I hope that it is clear and that someone can help.

    Thank you

    Larry

    A quick google search determines that window.opener does not exist when you use window.showModalDialog

    Range of suggestions to use window.open instead of window.showModalDialog to use instead of window.opener dialogArguments

    Try the following:

    The parent page to define a getPopupValue() function:

     function getPopupValue(){
       var dr =  window.showModalDialog('f?p=&APP_ID.:70:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.:::','','resizable:yes;center:yes;dialogWidth:1000px;dialogHeight:500px;');

        if ( (dr != undefined) && (dr != '') && (dr != false) ){
         $x("P75_ITEM1").value = dr;
        }
     }

    Change the url of the button to call the function:

     javascript:getPopupValue();

    On the popup page change the valve function for:

    function passBack(passVal1)
    {
      returnValue = passVal1;
      close();
    }

  • Delay in the display of the modeless dialog box

    I use a modeless dialog box to display "Please wait...". "users in an operation that lasts from 3 to 8 seconds.

    The dialog box is called by the Menuitem run() method. Once the dialog box appears, the task begins

    running in the background. A loop then periodically checks whether the task is complete. When the task

    MenuItem _taskItem = new MenuItem("Task", 20, 30)
    {
       public void run(){
        try {
                Dialog progressDialog = new Dialog( "Please wait...",
                null,null,0,Bitmap.getPredefinedBitmap(Bitmap.HOURGLASS),
                Dialog.GLOBAL_STATUS);

            progressDialog.show();

            Task task = new Task();
            task.doTask();

            for(int i=0; i<10; i++)
            {
                if(task.isComplete())
                {
                    break;
                }

                Thread.sleep(1000);
            }

            progressDialog.close();
        }
        catch(IOException e){
        ...
        }
       }
    }

    addMenuItem(_taskItem);

    is completed, the dialog box is closed. I have attached a code snippet that illustrates the basic approach.

    The main problem with this approach is that the modeless dialog box is not displayed immediately after

    progressDialog.show () is called. It seems to be queued for later. It is generally not displayed until after

    the task is complete, which is far too late an effective busy indicator.

    The only way I was able to display the dialog box immediately is by invoking it as a modal dialog box

    (that is, progressDialog.doModal ()). But it will not work because a modal dialog box will prevent the application of

    execution of the task. In my view, that it must be modeless.

    The 3.4.0 API spec refers to a dialogue show() method that accepts an arg, Show (int priority) priority. The spec

    said little about what values can be, and the way in which priority is actually used. Does anyone have experience with the

    setting priorities? This will help display a modeless dialog immediately?

    Someone aware of other methods to force the display of a dialog box - is there a way to force the processing of

    all events pending? (I tried UiApplication.updateDisplay (), without success).

    Thank you!

    So that your dialog box display, your task must be in a separate thread.

    What you do in the code snippet you provided actually holds the wire of the event and thus prevent this thread to display the dialog box.

  • API to open the page dialog box

    Hi all

    I there any Apex API to open the Page dialog box in V5.0.

    I used apex.navigation.dialog, but it gives an error when loading the page.

    Please suggest.

    Concerning

    Rupesh Gupta

    Apex.navigation.dialog from code using JavaScript is not often necessary, but there are cases where it is necessary and it can be done. The tricky part is that the URL should be generated by the server as PREPARE_URL. The general idea is to extract the url from the rest of the javascript code that is generated. This can be done on the server or the client.

    I have an example of using apex.navigation.dialog in my blog on the custom menus

    http://hardlikesoftware.com/weblog/2015/07/13/Apex-5-0-custom-menus/

    Regarding the example code above, I never recommend using eval and it is better to use the apex.server API (or DA) than the old htmldb_Get. You can return to the server to have it prepare the URL using ajax, but wherever possible it is best to have the server generate the URL when the page is loaded. If you do not use ajax have the server split the URL you can call apex.navigation.dialog and not eval.

    It would be really nice if in the future PREPARE_URL had an option to return to the dialogue page URL or the URL and strings but also separate options. Or it could be a different utility API.

  • State of the coast customer Pass to the modal dialog box

    Hi guys,.

    I would like to open a modal dialog box and change the value of a select list of the modal dialog box. I have to be able to switch the status of the customer value using apex.item("P1_DEPTNO").getValue (). The declarative method to use modal dialog boxes is to use a button and a link to the page, where everything is taken care for us, the value, the checksum for the protection of session state, etc..

    But sometimes we need to go on the side of current customer State the modal page, for example, while we are in the middle of creating a new row in a table... and the value is not yet stored in the database.

    So, how can we do this? By the way the page in progress and also variables to generate the control are appropriate for the items to be passed.

    Since there is no dynamic action to do this directly, I tried to attach a dynamic action to a button and run javascript to open the dialog box (https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E59726_01/doc.50/e39149/javascript_api.htm#AEAPI29504):

    var l_url="f?p="+$v("pFlowId")+":2:"+$v("pInstance")+"::::P2_DEPTNO:"+apex.item("P1_DEPTNO").getValue();
    alert (l_url);

    apex.navigation.dialog(l_url, {
        title:'About',
        height:'480',
        width:'800',
        maxWidth:'1200',
        modal:true,
        resizable:false },
        '',
        $('#EMP_REPORT'));

    Unfortunately, I get an error internal an error:

    2 request 157 dialog page cannot be returned successfully. If make sure that the template in use on page 2 is the type of model 'Page of dialogue', with the JavaScript dialog initialization appropriate, closing the dialog and dialog box cancel the code defined.

    I do not understand the error message since I use the theme 42 and the handling of the ordinary modal dialog box works.

    Would appreciate advice.

    See you soon,.

    ~ Dietmar.

    Hi Dietmar,

    you're always coming to these requirements of fancy...

    The following has worked for me in Chrome. But to test if it works in any browser.

    1. Describe your button as usual with a link to the page of the dialog box
    2. For example to set items , specify P7_CUSTOMER_ID as the name and ~ CUSTOMER_ID ~ as value. ~ CUSTOMER_ID ~ is our placeholder that will NOT get replaced by APEX. We use it in our JavaScript code.
    3. Set the static ID of your my_button button so that we are able to access in JavaScript
    4. In the run when the Page loads page level attribute, add something like
      var myButton$ = $( "#my_button" );
      myButton$.attr( "onclick", myButton$.attr( "onclick" ).replace( "~CUSTOMER_ID~", "' + $v( 'P2_CUSTOMER_ID' ) + '" ));

    The JS code above will replace your reserved space and turn the link into something like

    javascript:apex.navigation.dialog('f?p=73380:7:109940056598048::NO:RP:P7_CUSTOMER_ID:' + $v( 'P2_CUSTOMER_ID' ) + '\u0026p_dialog_cs=QxixrjW-ZGmCMXTNBPlITtOG_X3aShXqYmmaugetfJ8rYKRHHpJpeskKbIEO3qpqVIkX-dWYaqbZ0_AGq3ASTg',{title:'Sample Database Application - Customer Details',height:'480',width:'660',maxWidth:'1000',modal:true,dialog:null},'t-Dialog--wizard',$('#my_button'));

    Obviously, you will not be able to use the Protection of the Session State for the P7_CUSTOMER_ID dialog page item, so you set the page of dialogue level attribute Access Protection Page to the Unrestricted.

    The amount of control that see you in the URL is really just to protect the dialog box itself.

  • Can adapt to the Save dialog box in Acrobat DC slot?

    I was wondering if there is already a way we can customize the new dialog box save slot of DC.

    Acrobat DC Save As Dialogue.PNG

    I wish I could open directly to "Choose a different folder" without going through this additional dialog box (I don't understand the appeal of it, but it's not optimal for my workflow). Or maybe, if I could customize the 'Storage' options (e.g. addition of our own database files 'posters', 'Documents', etc., or maybe just pulling records 'Favorites' from Windows Explorer)

    I get the decision to have the document cloud and creative cloud as default options. It's great to share and collaborate on documents, but I'm just too many document management and too big of a database. In my situation it's just, well, less than optimal.

  • Help open the levels dialog box and save the entered settings.

    Hey,.

    I'm trying to work out how to save the applied middle, whitepoint ect to a variable after the levels dialog box was called from javascript?

    I am writing a script that allows you to adjust the levels on a single image, and then I have to repeatedly apply these settings on a batch of images specified.

    Is this possible? I figured out how to open and apply the levels but not to save the entered settings.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    I use photoshop cs6 on a mac.

    Thank you

    Mark

    Sorry Paul, but I think that you're wrong. The 'adjustment' list should have descriptions for each channel that has been set by the user. These descriptors must have the key for the channel as a referencetype, b/w in a list entry points, exit points black and white as a list and as a double gamma. I think that if these aren't in the descriptor, it is because the user has not changed the default values.

    But what if all you want to do is reapply the same settings later that you don't really need to know what setting were. You simply store the descriptor that contains for later use.

    function newLevels() {
    var desc2 = new ActionDescriptor();
    var ref1 = new ActionReference();
    ref1.putClass( charIDToTypeID('AdjL') );
    desc2.putReference( charIDToTypeID('null'), ref1 );
    var desc3 = new ActionDescriptor();
    var desc4 = new ActionDescriptor();
    desc4.putEnumerated( stringIDToTypeID('presetKind'), stringIDToTypeID('presetKindType'), stringIDToTypeID('presetKindDefault') );
    desc3.putObject( charIDToTypeID('Type'), charIDToTypeID('Lvls'), desc4 );
    desc2.putObject( charIDToTypeID('Usng'), charIDToTypeID('AdjL'), desc3 );
    return executeAction( charIDToTypeID('Mk  '), desc2, DialogModes.ALL );
    };
    // store the descriptor holding the users values for later
    var newLevelsDesc = newLevels();
    // do something else like open another image
    // then when needed make a new adjustment layer using those settings
    executeAction( charIDToTypeID('Mk  '), newLevelsDesc, DialogModes.NO );
