  I want to be able to view my iPhotos photos and my albums on the Photos.  I thought it was going to happen automatically in the month of April when I had this computer.  I'm a Mac user for about 25 years.

  I've migrated my iPhoto Library in pictures.  He moved only 133 photos.  I almost 34 000 pictures in my iPhotos library.

  My albums are no where to be seen.  I backed everything up on my external hard drive.

  How did you do that? Where your iPhoto library that Library stored?  In your pictures folder, or on an external drive?

  Photos may not be not open your photo library in iPhoto on an external drive and created a library of Photos empty with only a few pictures Photo Stream, if most of your pictures are missing.   Have you tried to migrate the original iPhoto Library again by dragging the icon of Photos?

  DSC_2429 is in the shown locaton and present in all the Photos, but there is no folder "Tulsa"... "in the tree.

  The left pane is a "choose one". "All photos" are just that. 'G' is a different option.

  Lightroom is not a file Explorer. He knows only the drives and files that you have imported the photos of. If LR shows not all of the photos that are on your hard drive, it is because you did not import all photos.

  I understand that you are looking for help with synchronization of photos from an iMac to an iPhone, but you see not options for it in iTunes. I know it's nice to have your photos updated on all your devices, so I'm happy to provide advice to help with this.

  That's fine, I have all my saved photos.  What I find that I am able to do is add any (as via iCloud.com Photos), as the 'Upload' button is grayed out and the same message appears on the header of the photos app page.

  I want to reset it.  I thought that turn everything would have been fine.  But it seems to be stuck.  I activated on all devices.  It's frustrating because it is preventing me from getting things done on the fly, I'm used to because I can't upload pictures in the Photos app.

  I want to backup my iPhone of partners on the macbook.

  The photo library can contain remnants of files from iPhoto or Aperture, if you used publishers external pictures that could not be moved to the trash, or similar. There may also be an iPod Photo Cache, which can be very important, if synchronize you with iTunes library.

  When you check the number of pictures in photo?  The 'Photos' view will show the number of photos that are not hidden, the "all Photos" view will display all photos, including the hidden pictures. The recently deleted album will show also pictures, waiting to be finally deleted.

  Have you checked, if the "Recently deleted" album is empty?

  If so, check which photo library you are currently browsing in Photos.  Photos > general Preferences tab has a button "show in Finder". It takes you to the library in your folder from another library of Photos or images?

  If your library is empty and contains no photos that you want to save it, you can simply delete the photo library you see in the Finder and try again with a new library.
