  After I downloaded some updates of high priority on my computer 3 other computers to my work and my computer are still blocked on the "Application of the parameters of the computer" message during Windows startup. I deleted the updates of windows I downloaded this week here and set to ignore, but the problem still happens.
  What I see in the system restore on the day, that this problem has occurred is that there is a facility of the so-called "software distribution service 3.0", I searched this program in Add/Remove programs with updates are checked but can't seem to find it anywhere.
  I am running windows xp SP3 and my PC is in a network domain. 3 other PC having the same problem but the other computers at work have installed updates and work very well.

  For a project of teststand, I use a .net application that uses a custom settings provider. The problem is that whenever he tries to use one of the teststand user settings, the application returns an exception:

  Note that in the AppWithUserSetting settings.designer.cs file, a custom line has been added ([total:ystem.]) Configuration.SettingsProvider (typeof (AppWithUserSettings.UserAppSettingsProvider))]) to force the program to use the custom SettingProvider. And that's where it fails when loading teststand.

  No idea why? Right now, I'd rather not remove the use of this settingProvider custom because it will keep the settings of the user even when the upgrade to a different version of AppWithUserSettings.
