I have hundreds of Firefox addons that I developed for my company to perform tasks automated in our information system. Firefox updated to 40.03 today and I can't is no longer an any of them install in Firefox.

"firefox prevented this site asking you to install the software on your computer.

Is there a setting in Firefox I can disable to allow me to install ad - donations that I've developed? I don't really want to sign these. They are not hosted in any case, but live on a local computer. They are all owners and we only use internally.

    Hi guys

I had installed up-to-date antivirus software and my problem seems to start after an update from Microsoft. Do a search on the web and you will see similar stories. I spent so much time trying to solve this I think it's better just to do a re-install. Certainly not the resolution I had hoped, but appreciate this type of questions are almost impossible to solve the problems through intermittent mail such messages.

    Hi Michael2017,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. When you receive the error message?

    3. are you able to install updates on the computer?

Windows Module installation service are the two basic services responsible for all your updates installed correctly. Windows Module Installer service enables installation, modification, and removal of Windows updates and optional components. If the Windows Installer of Module service is disabled, install or uninstall windows updates may fail.

Check and make sure the installation Module of Windows service is running on the computer

    (a) click Start; in the start search type services.msc and press ENTER.

    (b) ensure that the installation of Module Windows Service is running and the startup type must be handwritten.

    I hope this helps!

  • Microsoft technical support can't help you with the faulty Modules Installer.

I have pleasures with support by e-mail dated December 18 and the subject of some updates that caused the Windows Modules Installer to stop working.  Here are the steps that have been taken so far:

    1. reboot the failet installation service.

    2 direct download of Trustinstaller.exe and Trustinstaller.reg.

    3. transfer of support tech System Info of MSINFO32.

4 Indentifcation updates specific causing the crash of the installer of Modules and make a direct download of them.

5 reset Internet Explorer options and disabling third-party browser extensions.

6 direct download of the tool.

7 supply tech with screenshots of SFC.exe and CheckSUR.log.

8 run the SFC/scannow command to request of the tech.  Error message received after scan 25% over that he can't finish.

    9. made by tech to perform an in Place Upgrade of my installation disks.  Update could not happen due to Windows PowerShell.

    10. made by tech to remove Windows PowerShell via "Turn Windows features on or off."  Error message that PowerShell cannot be disabled.

    11. realized by tech to modify the registry to disable the PowerShell.  In Place Upgrade always reports installed PowerShell and would not continue.

    12. looked for Windows PowerShell among the "installed updates".  There is no update labeled "Windows PowerShell" listed.

So that is where I am now.  Windows Update did not work except for the occasional definition for Microsoft Security Essentials update since mid-December.  No security updates or patches cannot install properly by the installer of Modules of Windows crash.  I can't repair my installation of Windows because I can't uninstall Windows PowerShell.  If someone is able to help, please keep in mind that I read all the posts about how to uninstall Windows PowerShell through the registry and installed updates; None of them have worked for me; so please don't cut and paste these instructions again.

Thanks to anyone who can help me.

  • Ins work ' t Windows Modules Installer

I tried to install Service pack 1, it failed due to an 0x800f0826 error.

I discovered that the Windows Modules Installer, which is required for installation, appearently doesn't work.
It is not listed in Control Panel > Administration > Services.

I tried running sfc/scannow in cmd high, and it does not work.

The TrustedInstaller file which is IS located in the maintenance folder in Windows, but I can't seem to run.

I also tried to download a registry Fix TrustedInstaller, but it does not help. I tried this solution with PsTools and the file psexec - no difference.

Also, I also tried to copy another TrustedInstaller in maintenance records, but that makes no difference either.

I really need help here. Is it possible to get the installer of Modules of Windows to work? Download a new version of the installer of Modules if it is corrupted? My computer is not shipped with a CD/DVD of Vista, so I can't run a Vista repair.

    Please help me!

You see the effects of a hijackware infection.

Your quickest resolution would be to safeguard any staff data (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this stage) can do a format and clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) will NOT fix it!

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or a network otherwise and before using a USB key that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formatted:

Note: When you reinstall Vista, the free trial Norton will be also reinstalled (but invalid). You MUST uninstall it, and then rerun the removal tool Norton BEFORE installing a replacement AV app (e.g., F-Secure).

NB: If your computer came with a set of disks, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the restoration of the system) you can use to do the clean install. Contact the OEM manufacturer with this.

    Hello

A Google search has nothing on "uwamocin.dll", which suggests that it is associated with Malware.

Download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware:

My friend was running Vista sp2 comfortably, but now about 3-5 minutes after you connect on the following message is displayed: header: "You are about to be disconnected," containing the "Windows must now restart because Windows Module Installer Service finished unexpectedly." The machine then automatically restarts. It's a never-ending cycle.

    (c) select "Disable automatic restart in the event of system failure" using the arrow key and press to enter.

No one knows what Internet traffic/ports uses the installer, so I can pass this on our IT support to allow them access to the installer. Installation of things like Photoshop CC will be commonplace.

Hi, I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 1520 with Vista Home Premium. I'm having problems installing SP1 and have identified that one KB952287 that causes the problem. If you don't want to go in this direction, you should call dell and ask for a replacement recovery media.

And maybe ask a copy directly from the operating system without any OEM software or all the changed settings. (a copy of the DVD retail)

  • XP PRO stops the installation.

My hard drive crashed. I ran Fdisk and Format. I tried to reinstal XP Pro with original disc. He get that "Setup starts Windows', and then seems to stop. I'm waiting for an hour before closing.  I installed the HDD on old Gateway my wife and had no problem with installation of XP Pro. Of course, it doesn't work on my computer when I reinsatlled the player. I used a W98, Fdisk boot... reformatted disk. With this boot disk, I started in the BACK. I think that version is W98 or Melinium. I copied all the I386 files in a directory on drive C. I have then run WINNT. EXE. He then asked me to restart. I then get a selection of:! Use the system on the C drive; 2. install XP Pro upgrade. I f I chose the drive C, then again as directed, I get an 'invalid system disk' I mount the CD Pro fI, it restarts and gets to the facility is turned on & stops. Same thing if I chose the XP upgrade.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

Finally found the problem. You were RIGHT! It was one of my 2, 1 MB, memory modules. And I ran the Memtest and they both passed. I started to replace the components, even if they have passed the various tests. I removed a bar of memory and the problem remains. I removed and installed the module 2, started to install XP Pro and install them at this time.

Appreciate your help to put me on the right track.
