Location of SP2 download need

I just had to re - install Windows XP Professional w / SP1a. I can't manually find SP2 in Windows Update because XP is not up-to-date and it tells me to turn on the automatic updates. The only version I find is for professionals and Windows Update tells me to check the link for one version service pack. However, I searched for hours and cannot find one. Is anyone know where download of Microsoft for SP2 are so I can move me to SP3 or can someone tell me how to force automatic updates to update manually?

Don't waste your time with SP2. It is perfectly acceptable to go directly to SP3:

http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=24

(Make sure that IE is yet to IE6 level before installing SP3.)

Once you have SP3 installed, install IE8:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Internet-Explorer/downloads/IE-8

You should download these installation files, and then install them after physically disconnected from the Internet.

Reboot once after installing SP3. Restart twice after installing IE8. Do not forget to re - connect to the Internet!

Finally, a number of people have had problems with Windows updates for the past few weeks. So be sure that you have also this file, too - just in case (again, the download as well as the other two installation files):

http://download.windowsupdate.com/WindowsUpdate/redist/standalone/7.4.7600.226/WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe

You can run if you cannot access the post-SP3 updates.

  • Impossible to install Vista SP2, says needs update of system tool

I use Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit edition with Service Pack 1.  His ability to perform automatic and manual, updates have not completely.  When I try to update, it tells me that I need what is called a system update tool.  The Download Center Windows says I need Service Pack 2 to use this tool.  But when I tried to install Service Pack 2, it failed, saying he needs the system update tool.

Then... I need Service Pack 2 to install the system update readiness tool, and I need the analysis of system update tool to install Service Pack 2?  Huh?

The only other option I can find for this is to fix the "CBS Manifest" which is apparently corrupt.  To do this, I need to "repair Windows" using "Windows DVD.  But this computer comes with pre-installed Windows and did not come with a 'Windows DVD.

Is there a solution to this problem?  Any advice would be helpful and appreciated.  I ran virus and malware scanners, are looking for things that can interfere with the update process, defragmented my hard drive and cleaned the registry.  What other options are available?

  • Web JetAdmin download needed

First of all, I must say that this is strictly unacceptable that the HP website is so bad I built that it is impossible to contact support.  It is forbidden to discuss or e-mail unless you provide information that does not exist, as a free software serial number.

And I find it deplorable that you will need to submit information that HP already has to go through a process of e-mail and web 4 step to get the free software strictly so they can give you more email marketing and phone calls.  This isn't what I expect for the needs of the company.

The real question, where can I get the 32-bit version of the Web Jetadmin?  The whole process will offer me only 64 bit, despite indicating there is a 32-bit version, provided that he specifically asked me what OS I'm running.  What really put these downloads in a place that is easy to get without all these extra steps of headaches that don't give me what I need anyway in the end?  Get it together HP...
