I have a password on my phone and sometimes I'm too lazy to unlock my phone just to take a picture, then I'll click the camera on the home page. I understand that when you take a picture on the homepage icon, you can see the pictures, but what worries me is, how long are pictures stored on the home page of the camera mode until they are removed from this area? The thing is, I'm 15 years old and I have an aunt and sometimes his 21 year old daughter go his house too and I'm just worried, because they are the kind of people to go on my phone and get a discount of it. She is pretty tech savvy and I wouldn't put in front of her to take a look to see if there is pictures there. As much as I am much younger than my cousin, I think she can be jealous because I have the iphone 6, when she was 5 and think maybe I'm perhaps too immature? They might think that it is acceptable to use my phone? (I know that I would not do the same thing and I respect the privacy of someone). As we have a little family fracture.

  What you're saying, looks like it's your device lock password, which prevents you from your device. Only this password can unlock it, but for one reason or another it just is not be accepted. Most often, it is because of the keyboard... you may think that you type a number, but actually, it's a letter, lock shift is power or some other modifier key is not present in the same State as when the password was created. Unfortunately, with just one more attempt there is very little to try... you get only once chance, so the probability of success is low.

  I suggest you remove your battery, wait 5 minutes, then insert the battery, but wait at least 15 minutes before you try anything. Only, you get a chance, so you must leave your BB to be fully started before trying anything.

  If you fail the last time, what will happen is that your BB will wipe itself clean of everything and be as if it were when you received first of all, including the removal of the password. This is a security feature designed to protect valuable data and personal information on the device of thieves.

  Recently when I click on the contacts shortcut it locks the phone.  The only way to unlock is to press stop on the far right.  The contacts are still there, because I can access it from the call log.

  I just got a new Torch 9800 that is connected to & configured server of my company blackberry. I also use Chinese entry (writing function key) and two problems below, pls help:

  (1) cannot use the quick key to search for contact when using phone, for example to enter a 'P', it will show "Peter" and "Peggy" from the contact list contact. I can only choose after selecting "call for contacts.
  Initially, I didn't know when this function has stopped. After several rounds of tests, more likely, it happened after I switched the input to the Chinese language and has not switched back to English at the same time.

  I found that several KBs can relate to this problem, KB13326, 14372, 04052. And followed the advice but still don't work except if I cold start the phone, i.e. remove the battery. He returned to normal. Once I have change the language again, the problem returns.

  If your company blocks applications, there is not much you can do, but pray with IT to let you have access to them.

  There is an app called quickpull that can restart the phone, but a battery pull works best to clear the temporary files and the cache.
