  What version do you use? There is no way to upgrade from Logic 9 to X pro. However for a fraction of the cost of the disk based 9 x download has much more to him and there was free from major updates.   Here's a new update of Mac OS installed and new problems with Logic Pro (9). While working, I can't open any save / open / export popup - no matter what, this finder calls - logical popup just closes in a second. Never have met this funny on thank you Mac os, so I think that it is somehow connected with the new Mac operating system.

  See plug-ins or something unrelated. Have no idea what it could be. But now, it is impossible to work.

  Many people having exactly the same problem with no fix yet. As Logic 9 is old now (Apple it have not supported for years), it'll be lucky if it is fixed in an additional OS updated.

  The safest to do thing is to go back to your old system of your backup job.

• Logic pro 10.2.1 update - Roland A49 controller has stopped working

  I've noticed since the Logic Pro update to the latest version this morning (10.2.1) that my MIDI keyboard/controller Roland A49 unresponsive.  Whenever I run the Logic Pro application I get this message

  Create MIDI keyboard assignments

  Please select "MIDI CH 1' on your keyboard of series of Roland."

  But despite the tent everything, including resetting my A49, reinstall the drivers, logic will not respond to the keyboard. The keyboard seems to work properly but in Garageband, it seems to be related only to Logic Pro.

  Anyone else have a similar problem with the Roland A49 or similar USB keyboard/controller?   Is there a solution?

  Logic 9 has 2 ways to be installed, disk and the App Store.

  Start with the App Store. Open a session on the account that you bought LP9 leave, go to the "Purchase" tab and see if LP9 is here and you should see a download button.

  Even if you initially purchased LP9 via disc, if you updated via the App Store, LP9 must be "Purchased" tab

  If you have purchased and installed via disk and never updated by the App Store, you will need to have the original disk and install from there.

  If you can't find the original disk, not in the tab purchased in App Store, then you should probably buy LPX as LP9 is no longer available, but you might find online for purchase somewhere.

• Logic Pro 7 has disappeared

  Hi, I just found out that my application Logic Pro 7 has disappeared from my Applications folder. It was here 6 months ago. I still have the original installation disc, but the "install Logic Pro 7 app" is grayed out, although it won't let me install any additional content that I don't need. It's maybe since I installed Yosemite, but I rarely use Pro 7, but a client wishes to change a few tracks of 10 years, and I need. I'm on Logic 9, which will open the old way but he reconfigures them so that they need an hour per track just to get play them correctly. Is it because I've updated to Yosemite?   Yes... LP7 does not run on Yosemite. If you take a look on your startup disk (Macintosh HD), you can find an "Incompatible software"folder, with LP7 inside. "

  So logical crashes constantly in two different circumstances...

  1: at some point in the project, I'll spend my screenset (with 1, 2 or 3 as the quick access keys) to get a different view to my project. When the screens are trying to change the two go black and about 3 seconds later I get a crash. After these accidents the project will be recorded as "hip-hop (crushed)." If some of my pieces have 10 + (crashed) behind the title.

  2: the other instance where I get a crash is when I'm doing my due diligence and randomly the CMD + s for a backup. Recording can run 5 to 25 times, but at some point it will say "the project «...» ' cannot be saved. "But right after that I'll save it and it will save perfectly. Only to then crash out of nowhere part 20-30 seconds later.

  I'm tired of dealing with this and I removed a lot of defective au. Run the diagnostic tests, etc.

  Here's the thing...

  Logic Pro 9 is not supported under El Capitan... Its considered to be an application of EOL (End Of Life) these days... so don't expect any patches or updates.

  Your choice is...

  (1) roll to a combination of OS X and previous LP9 that worked... using your backups...

  (2) updated Logic Pro x...

  That's all...

  Hi guys, I just purchased Logic Pro X from the Mac App Store and then downloaded the User Guide in iBooks. I opened on my updated (10.11.3 El Capitan) late 2009 iMac (Quad Core i7 16 MB RAM) and the police is huge - I want to say you get 2 or 3 words per line, 10 to 12 words per page which is completely unusable! My other books in the iBooks are all very well, but these Logic Pro X manuals are unnecessary. Someone at - it else found this, Apple says nothing about this?

  If you have installed the DVD version, just go in the pre - app store Apple Menu/Software Update and logic 9.1.8 should wait for you.

• Logic Pro vs Sierra-accidents

  I say to that I've only been live with Sierra for a few days so that the latter can get repaired soon (I hope), BUT now I get a whole bunch of accidents. After the initial load. Most of them seem to occur when the logic is trying to load some programs IE. Native Instruments and music of Air technology-Xpand.

  After a couple of accidents because she looking a few guitars of its wide who were not there, I found that there was an orphan prefs file, so once that was taken out of the picture, it worked but I always these accidents because of the OR & Air which I have not yet been resolved.

  Anyone having problems out there like that all advice?

  Hello, I'm an indie game developer and I'm looking for a music software with a small budget and space since it's my first game I intend to publish I don't really have the opportunity to have a defined heck appropriate music that I did not even a microphone

  so I was wondering if I can use logic pro x without instruments, if it has a built in instruments such as garage band, otherwise it is very good...

  Logical X has a wide range of integrated instruments, better than Garageband.

  There is also a wide range of instruments and effects plug-ins free-buy music electronic magazine, many come with a wide range of free downloads, samples and real plug-ins (e.g. Computer Music magazine). They are usually VST, but many are THE (compatible logic) too.

• If I purchase Logic Pro 10 now and later if apple releases Logic Pro 11 so should I buy the new version again or can I just switch to it free?

  It was reported a number of not being able to save or to new projects with the title of the Sierra.

  I would conclude some time if I were you, especially if everything is working well at the moment.
