Login screen hangs

Hello.  Since I upgraded to macOS Sierra, my early 2015 MacBook Pro freezes on the login screen.  I tried clean install, reinstall, SMC reset, reset the NVRAM.  Nothing seems to help.  I can finally drag the cursor to the button stop, but it takes a while.  Once it starts up again it is fine... until I have restart or stop again.  Any thoughts?  Thank you.

Try to start in safe mode (hold down the key of the SIFT when starting) once or twice. The login screen freezes?

The problem appeared after restarting the computer during the night.  The problem began to be able to connect, but the screen would go blank with just a pointer (KSOD).  Has tried some of the suggestions on this problem, including by eliminating sys newspapers, which did not work as well as reinstalling the video driver, with no luck.  Finally tried a system restore, returned 1 week (before the windows updates).  Now, the computer becomes just the login screen sits there for about 5-10 seconds then restarts immediately.

I just had this happen to my laptop that has no external references. This is a new (September 09) ASUS K50ij with Vista 64-bit installed. I bought the Win 7 OS to replace, but have been waiting for the time to play with it... If after this, an hour or more than make sure I got all the important data... I decided to see if anyone had a solution to this problem just fixing... I probably won't update again because Microsoft sends them and offers no solutions to the problems they have caused and nobody pays me for all the time I've lost get to get my stuff back and also to solve the problem they have caused. A update on my other laptop Win 7 zapped my outlook program and even reinstall it didn't solve this problem, even more work to do there, but looking in the files using Ubuntu's File Explorer, I found a hidden file that is used to repair the files .pst outlook called scanpst, or something that nearby.

In any case, if someone has a solution to uninstall the recent update or to determine how it corrupted my user profile (which is the general consensus) please let me know.

  • BONES of Sierra crashing to the LOGIN screen while using the service of mission control.

After Sierra OS upgrade my MacBook Pro hangs on login screen every time I have used the function of mission control.

    Hey hernj103,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. I can see your post after upgrading to Mac OS Sierra that reboots your MacBook Pro, if you use mission control. There could be a number of reasons that could cause this and I want to help you have a reliable working Mac, so I'm here to help! If you have not already done, you want to make sure that you have a backup of your data and you can use the option in the link below:

Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac

Once your data is secure, you'll want to test this function in Mode safe mode and see if you get the same effect. Safe mode (sometimes called secure boot) is a way to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks and prevents certain software from loading automatically or opening. Also, it verifies your startup disk and trying to fix problems if necessary directory and delete font caches, hiding the kernel and other files of the system cache. The following link can show you how to start your MacBook Pro in Mode safe.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

If you continue to have problems after the safe boot mode, let know us and we can continue to solve the problems there.

    See you soon.

  • Blue screen in Vista 7 just after the login screen

We get a blue error screen 7th on Vista 64-bit SP1 right after the login screen appears.  The blue screen immediately goes, and system restarts (or sometimes just hangs).  I was not able to find the codes of the 7th in the research:

(took a picture of the screen...)

    STOP: 0x0000007E (oxFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF80002325C87, 0xFFFFFA60165BE3E8, 0xFFFFFA60165BDDC0)

I am able to boot in safe mode.  Do you have a chkdsk C: /F and which did not help.  Do you have a repair system using the Vista startup disk and that did not help.   Went to safe mode and MSCONFIG and position the clean boot and that did not help.  I tried to update to SP2 and unable to complete safe mode.

The ideas and the sage advice would be greatly appreciated.

Important info if you received a STOP Code

If you received a blue error screen, or a stop code, the computer stopped abruptly to protect against data loss. A hardware device, its driver or software might have caused this error. If your copy of Windows is shipped with your computer, contact your computer manufacturer. If you purchased Windows separately from your computer, Microsoft provides support. To find contact information for Microsoft or the manufacturer of your computer, Contact Support.

If you have experience with computers and try to recover from this error, follow the steps in the Microsoft article solution STOP (blue screen) errors in Windows.

These actions could prevent a mistake like this does not happen:

    1. Download and install updates for your computer from Windows Update device drivers.
    2. Scan your computer for computer viruses.
    3. Check your hard drive for errors.

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED parameters

The following settings appear on the blue screen.

To view the settings, click on this link.
    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff559239 (v = VS. 85) .aspx

    CAUSE

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bug control is a very common bug control. TO
interpret, you must identify which exception has been generated.

    Common exception codes are:

    • 0 x 80000002: STATUS_DATATYPE_MISALIGNMENT indicates an unaligned data reference was encountered.

    • 0 x 80000003: STATUS_BREAKPOINT indicates a breakpoint or ASSERTION was met when no kernel debugger was attached to the system.

    • 0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates a memory access violation has occurred.

For a complete list of exception codes, see the Ntstatus.h file located in theinc directory
the Microsoft Windows Driver Kit (WDK).

    Solve the problem

If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques.

    • Make sure you have enough disk space.
    • If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the
    • Reference of the manufacturer for driver updates.
    • Try changing video cards.
    • Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
    • Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.

If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2
(the address of the exception) must identify the driver or function that caused the problem.

If the exception code 0 x 80000003 occurs, a hard-coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but the system
has been launched with the /nodebug. switch. This problem should occur infrequently. If it occurs repeatedly,
Make sure that a kernel debugger is connected and the system is booted with the Switch/DEBUG .

In case of exception code 0 x 80000002, the trap frame provides additional information.

If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following questions:

    • Hardware incompatibility. Make sure all new hardware that is installed is listed in the
    • List of Microsoft Windows Marketplace tested products.
    • Service driver or defective peripheral system. A service driver or defective peripheral system can be
    • responsible for this error. Hardware problems, such as the incompatibilities of the BIOS, memory, conflicts
    • and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.

If a driver is listed by name in the bug check message, disable or remove that driver. Disable
or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. If the error occurs during startup
sequence and the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use safe
Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the system startup procedure
in Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file.

If the problem is associated with Win32k.sys, the source of the error may be a third remote
control program. If this software is installed, you can remove the boot of the computer service
by using the Recovery Console, and then by removing the offending system service file.

Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the
device or the driver that generated the bug check 0x7E.

You can also disable memory cache BIOS may try to resolve the error. You should also
Run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system.
For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.

The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or
Once the installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and system
BIOS incompatibilities. For problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with the absence of disc
space, reduce the number of files on the disk drive hard target. Find and delete any temporary
the files that you do not have to have files hidden Internet, backup application and.chkfiles files that
contain fragments of file saved to disk scans. You can also use another hard drive with more drive
free space for the installation. You can solve the problems of BIOS by upgrading the version of the system BIOS.

  • Loop between the login screen and home screen - Windows 8

    Hello

I installed a program to update my drivers. This required me to reboot I did.

Now, I can't do anything more: after I connect with my credentials, I can start Windows 8. Everywhere where I tap/click from there he sends me back to the login screen. I can connect again, but after trying several times I see no difference. I tried to reboot, but it does not work.

Also when I slide the screen on the left to go into the settings (wanted to go to the configuration screen), it leads back me to the login screen, so I can't check if the program I installed is causing this problem. I simply can't do something at the moment, but open a session, click on, log in, click on, login and click.

Update driver came on the official Dell site.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you!

    Hi Kim,

Here in this scenario, you need to remove the program from your computer. I would like to know some information about this problem so that we can help you further.

    1. you have support for Installation of Windows 8?

    2. What is the number of the model of the computer?

If you do not have installation media, you can create one and then go forward.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

Note: the steps also apply to Windows 8.

Once after the creation of installation media, I suggest to restore to a date before you install the program on your computer and check if it works for you.

Follow the steps to complete the restore of the system:

    1. Insert the media Installation of Windows 8 for example (DVD or USB key) and press the F12 key and click on cdefault Hanger or any other option which is at the bottom of the screen.
    2. In the next screen, click troubleshoot option, this will show you different options of WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) to solve the problems with the computer when it is in no State to start.
    3. Now, click on System Restore, this will open a wizard and restore to a point when the computer was working fine.

Please reply with the status of the issue so that we can better help you.

No chance that your logic/mother Board has been replaced?

This keeps the serial number of the Mac and is used to provide a specific connection of the device.

Go to the Menu icon Apple and select about this Mac.

Tab preview is to display the serial number.  (if this is not you must go to an Apple Store or the repairer so it will be again).

Go to the menu icon Apple once again, but hold down the ALT key and select System Info.

There are some Mac without Ethernet en0 so can Wifi

You can also look in Applications/Utilities and open the network utility and use the Info tab and fall down.

Is missing the en0 then you need to remove some system side .plists and restart the Mac.

    2. check if the system integrity Protection is enabled or disabled by running: csrutil status to the Terminal.

3 if she says ' Protection of the integrity of system status: activated. "go to 4.1.

    4. If not, only 4.4 and 4.7;

4.1 restart in "Recovery Mode": stop and hold command + R after pressing the power button.

4.2 go in "utilities > Terminal" and run the command: csrutil disable.

    4.3 restart;

    4.4 open the Terminal and run: sudo touch /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/EFILogin.framework/Resources/EFIResourceBuild er.bundle/Contents/Resources, this will force the update of the connection EFI;

4.5 reboot (again) in "Recovery Mode": stop and hold command + R after pressing the power button.

    4.6 go in "utilities > Terminal" and run the command: Activate csrutil;

    4.7 reboot and it's fixed!

4.8 re activate 'Find my Mac' as you wish.

You cannot disable the Guest user. This is especially in the case where you cannot unlock your hard drive. It provides a limited capacity of Safari so that you can access the services of help on the internet.

  • Login screen of the MacBook is weird.

Hello! Login screen of my computer is weird. The colors are darker and the cursor moves more slowly than usual. Everything started after I updated my MacBook (retina, 12 inch, early 2015) to OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. Everyone knows about this problem? Is it possible to fix it?

If that had happened to me, I would try Safe Mode boot because that passes through a few additional system checks.

  • New Mail notification to appear in my Windows account login screen, peux I turn this off?

I started using Thunderbird for my email because I am so sick of "Comcast/Xfinity" unwanted advertising and dumping else on my computer when I just want to make my Comcast email. I've customized email Thunderbird (options, etc.) to display the way I want. However, I use a shared computer I put in place will have to connect to multiple user accounts or the Admin and now T-Bird puts in place a notification on my user account (on the Windows login screen) of new e-mail arriving and how many new emails I have. I don't necessarily want other users to see if I have new messages and the number of new messages I. Is there a way to disable this "feature"? I don't see any option in the tools of T-Bird.
