• Contact Technical Support. Do really use Logmein?

  So I went on the Web site of microsoft ( https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?&c1=509&gprid=11712&&st=1&wfxredirect=1&sd=gn ) for help with my computer. After having followed the steps to get help, I received help from cat online through "Sales.liveperson.net" and after explaining the problem to the tech agent, asked to me to give them access remotely with LogMeIn. I wasn't aware of the scam of the call that came with logmein and seeing that I was the one who contacted microsoft myself, thought it was how they did things. (I've seen the commercials where they take control of your computer)

  Now that I am aware of the scam, I feel as if I've been violated, since they work on my computer for more than 4 hours. (I tried to install SP 2 for an old 08' computer with Vista, but ran into several problems with updates, etc.).
  I'm just paranoid? Is this really how microsoft and technical support?

  I was running the OS before El Capitan, and it is running slower and slower. When I ran the disc utilities, clean permissions etc, I noticed elements of iPhoto & iTunes seem to show more often, so I thought that updated to El Capitan to resolve issues related to the but didn't, it's just slow, if not worse. Also cleaned the hard drive (160 GB HD space), recently ran OnyX, no help

• How to disable the Macros Sidewinder X 4 (run even in safe mode and after reboot with keyboard not hung)

  Hello-

  I am now locked out of my pc because macros keyboard fill in my password.

  This happens in normal mode or without danger and without connected keyboard or pc remote access (rd or logmein and unplugged keyboard)

  Windows 7 Ultimate.

  I contacted support and they said that Windows 7 is supported legacy and would be a burden. They also mentioned that they could remote to my PC.  I would like to see that when I don't have access to give them access.

  1. do you get an error message when you press ENTER after filling in the password box?

  2 did you face this problem after you assign the macro?

  3 have you tried to use a different keyboard?

  4. have you ever tried to use the on-screen keyboard?

  Check if are able to use the on screen keyboard and be able to use the remove the filled automatically password and enter the password.

  From the login screen, click on and choose the option Type without the keyboard (on-screen keyboard). Click OK.

  If this does not help, go to the Windows recovery environment and perform a system restore and check the number.

  Did someone hearing if/when RIM could provide support for Java for the Playbook? I like to use GoToMyPC, Citrix product, to make it to my desk. It requires a Java compatible browser.

• IE9 logmein invalid handle

  There is not much to be found from an invalid 'handle' error code six for service LogMeIn rescue technician console. The error message appears only in the files, copy and move options, from the technician to the remote computer console. LogMeIn support said, "in all instances of the error, the problem was of UAC." As always all the changes in the registry can severely damage your computer and MSFT will be to disavow any knowledge of your actions. I put on this issue for the first time for me in the community. • Connect to a remote computer through Logmein impossible in version 4

  Hi, yesterday I've upgraded to Firefox 4.01. Since I can no longer connect to my remote computer (a computer control a solar panel system) normally I create in my laptop, a window displaying the remote computer via Firefox and Logmein, and I can't access the software from remote computers. In Firefox 4.01, I see a screen, but it's all black and does no access.
  In Safari, everything works fine. No clue why Firefox 4.01 behaves as it does.

  I see you are using OSX. Unfortunately, LogMeIn hasn't updated their firefox plugin to be compatible with the version of OSX Firefox 4, only for the version of Windows. If you really need to be able to use LogMeIn with Firefox in the meantime their update their plugin, you could downgrade back to firefox 3.6, or use another browser.

  EDIT: as of yesterday (12/05/11), it seems that LogMeIn has updated his plugin, even if I had not anything on their site as a result of advertising. I was invited for an update, update the plugin and just for fun FF4 tried again and it worked.

  Toshiba Qosmio X 870 PSPLXK-00Q00N

  -J' tried to bugs:
  1 format and reinstall windows 7 and 10.
  2 reset the CMOS.
  3 disassemble the laptop to check on the CMOS battery.
  4. clean and renewed thermal paste to the GPU and the CPU.
  5. comparative analysis with 3DMark and Prime95. Throw the RAM, the processor and the motherboard, being the GPU as the culprit of the problem.

  Looking for maps of replacement which gave me ideas to upgrade the GPU. I called the service $400-600 repair center.

  -L' idea:
  I came up with the crazy idea to Flash the vBios with another firmware, some time ago, I was me sleeping with GPU - Z and made a copy of my firmware, I searched and found others on the internet, so I decided to give it a shot. I knew I could probably kill the video card so in order to access my laptop I installed teamviewer, logmein, AND I tried with the video card taken flight and worked. Then I have a video card, flash video is totally dead. Then I flashed back to my old firmware and that is, I used it for a week by monitoring the behavior with the msi afterburner and everything is fine, even with long game sessions. Therefore, I think that the firmware may got corrupted somehow.

  -Method:
  Here I describe the flashing method used in this case, it's very simple, but be careful.

  1. download teamviewer and logmein. Put in place to start with windows and connect from another device without getting anything in the laptop, if you need to enter something after the laptop running trying to memorize what to do because you could be blind!

  2 download GPU - z

  Make a copy of the vBios firmware, just click on the button next to the BIOS version, it should create a ROM file

  Unzip and place these files and the ROM all files in a folder.

  4. Enter cmd in admin mode and go to the folder where the files are located.

  5. type:
  nvflash64-6 *.rom
  (* the name of the rom,-6 file cannot ignore any error).
  NVFLASH will ask to you if you want to continue, enter y for Yes. It will end to make a beep very hard.

  6 cut, remove power, remove the battery, press the power button to drain remaining power.
  Put back in place the battery and the power cord, press shift + f8 + power button, if this doesn't start t try to do this a couple of times more.

  7 done!

• t60P ATI dual display missing igfxcfg xp

  This system works perfectly in single display mode.  pop on an external disply of information office and her get it a kick from 2 seconds to 4-5 second intervals and windows are moving very slowly.
