  I bought and installed a HP DeskJet 3521. It is configured for wifi connectivity to two computers on our home network. A laptop computer is 8 64-bit Windows. The other is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

  The printer seems to work perfectly. However, the driver regularly (as in all the several minutes or so) pops up a message saying "the Scan of the computer is enabled is no longer" or something like that. It is apparent from the system tray. It fades after a few seconds. Otherwise the printer seems to work very well. This happens on two laptops.

  Laptops are in the same room as the printer and the router. The signal strength is high.

  Why did this message occurring and is there a solution for this?

  It is very probably the same problem I had with the HP printers for years.  It happens when the printer goes into a power saving sleep state and falls of connectivity.  To resolve the issue, you have to walk on the printer and the power of the cycle.  It has NOTHING to do with your router or static/dynamic IP allocation.  It's the fault of crappy entiely firmware and HP software.  HP 'experts' are playing the same game of blame-the-other-manufacturer or blame the old user that HP has always played.

  My current HP printer is the third HP sub-standard product I've owned... on three (Yes, I know, shame on me twice).  I've owned a high-end, expensive laptop which overheated during playback of a video to youtube and two printers which disengages automatically when they entered in the mode 'sleep'.  It will be the last HP product I already own...

• HP 7510 - Always scan the default loading paper

  A few months ago the default parser using the paper feeder instead of scan during the scanning bed.

  Even if I close the tray of paper, he will roll/try feeding of the paper in the tray instead of scanning from the bed.

  I have reset settings one or two times, but he always return to the default values.

  Is there a setting somewhere that I can put it to bed scan?

  Just test mine (also a 7510). You hear a 'ting' noise when putting paper in the ADF? I think that it has a sensor and you may need to clean the surface of the sensor. How to clean I don't know, the printer is a printer ready so I don't want to break it.

  Please uninstall the driver from the control--> programs--> programs & features Panel:

  The tab 'Programs & appearance', you should be able to see the full list of software installed on your PC.

  Download the correct software for unite and re-install the driver software.

• HP 6700 Premium Wi - Fi. The scan control panel no longer appears on my desktop.

  I have a HP 6700 Premium.  Wireless connection is ok.  I can scan a device memory to the printer/scanner control panel.  I have a 6700.exe hp shortcut on my desktop, but when I click on it, there are no options for the scan to my computer.   Until a few days ago, when I clicked on this shortcut, I had options for scanning as well as printing.  Thank you.

  I uninstall the current software and reinstall the software from the site Web of Hp. I included a link to the software select the feature complete drivers. Once the software download and is ready to install, make sure that you do not allow updates from Hp.

• M125a: I can't change the format of paper copy in HP M125a

  Hi all

  I bought a printer HP M125a (print, copy, scan), but I have a problem with the copy of Pages A4.

  When I put my A4 paper in the scanner to copy, laser scan only my printer from start position LTR (letter) is the result of 2CM at the bottom of my main A4 sheet not copied.

  Notice: When I analyze a picture to cumputer I don't have this problem and al of my scanned image, but a copy.

  I think I need to change the format of paper copy or print settings. I put all paper sizes in 'Control panel-> devices and printers' A4, but my problem not solved.

  Hello

  On the start menu, open the Printers folder and open the Toolbox of the HP device.

  In the 'System' tab select copy settings and change the format of A4 paper, then click on apply and confirm the changes.

  Thank you for your answer! I was wondering if you are able to copy with A4 paper.

  In the meantime, try the following:

  Load A4 paper on the ADF clash.

  On a Mac, click the Apple icon, click System Preferences, click Print & Scan, select your printer in the list, click the scanning tab, then click on open Scanner.

  Make sure that the document feeder is selected not to dish. Then change the format of A4 paper.

  First of all, where is the "printer software" to start the scan?

  Have tried all this. When I opened the series HP Envy 7640 (network): Assistant of HP printer, I click on "Scan the Document or Photo a" place in the scanning area. No scan dialog box never opens. Actually I tried to reinstall the printer driver. No change. Always impossible to get a scan dialog box. In addition, when I go in the start menu and the title of the series 7600 HP: HP envy, I click on the HP Scan icon. After a long wait, a dialog box appears that says: "Cannot communicate with Scanner", and it offers a few options. The first is to activate the device (printer), and then on; the second, control cables (its wireless operation); the third: try the software "fix." Happy to report that after stopping then on and running assistant printer again, this time by pressing the "scan a Photo Document' results in the appearance of a dialog box to make the changes that I've been looking for.

• 5610 all-in-one - black thick top of line down on the pages scanned using the scan feeder tray ONLY

  Using HP Officejet 5610 all-in-one I've had for years and maybe 6 months ago, I noticed that anything that is analyzed by the load plate (if you need to scan a bunch of pages without having to analyze each page individually between analyses what is tedious that need constant attention) has this thick black line goes up and down on the middle left of THE pages scanned. Honestly, it looks really bad like if there is something hidden in this terrible line through the process of moving the paper through the feeder, BUT the original is just fine without damage.

  If I scan just a page by placing the document on the scanner glass, and then NO matter whatsoever.

  100% reproducible every time.

  So I know that it has nothing to do with the glass (which is clean), but only when the scanned document must pass through.

  Checked the forums for similar problem and found no exact match.

  I imagine that an expert out there knows the answer to that high hand. IF you could speak up, I would appreciate it.

Well I opened the whole Assembly, having absolutely NO idea how it all works, and I found a 1 "x 8.5" thick mirror (for lack of a better term) who had what looked like white paint on it to the place where the pages were probably getting the black line. I scratched, retested and the question was gonzo - that's all!

  Then my wife just told me that she thinks that she knew what the problem was all along. She had put on a page and it had not dried, and she tried to put it in the charger to make a copy. She just thought that we were going to replace the printer even when and if ever, let me know. During this time it was me mad for months. What are you laughing at me? This all-in-one works very well for years - replace without good reason, must learn a new product, get new cartridges, out the same old, same old, NO way. If it is not broke, do not replace it!

• Wait signal generator complete the scan list before sending the next command

  I am writing a program for Agilent E4421B signal generator scan to list between a range of frequencies (ramp up to the maximum frequency and then back down to the original frequency) specified. The signal generator has only a list of 401 points, which is a problem when I want to wash over a wide frequency range. To work around this problem, I would like to perform several scans of list in a row. However, I can't figure out an effective way to "say" the program to wait until the previous scan has finished before sending a new order of scanning for the signal generator. Any ideas? For reference, I use Agilent ESG drivers series LabVIEW.

  If you use standard VISA calls, I would say just that send the scan command, but add; * mutual fund? (operation ends?) make a query.  Then, run a VISA to read what's coming.  This indicates to the device to send a 1 to the output buffer when the scan is complete (or just about any other operation, also).  As you are waiting for a response, your computer will wait the amount of time to wait so he could see a response, it is not less, your way with the exact amount of time - no more - to be actually taken.

  A few warnings:

  (1) make sure that the time-out is longer than the length of most slow scan.

  (2) there are variants of the '1' being returned.  I saw '1', '01', and even "1.00E + 3" therefore to allocate more than one byte to read."

  When I scan-to-email a document the receiver receive the email with [email protected] as the sender.

  I would like to customize the sender and the message body.

  Is this possible with scanning to email application?

  Welcome to the forums of HP.

  I understand that you would like to know if you can customize the sender and body of the message, when using the scan to email app. I would like to help.

  The answer is no, you cannot customize the sender and the message body.

  This is because the printer sends the scan to HP servers. The servers then process the image or document, much like computer you'd. Then the scan is sent as an e-mail message from the server. So the address of the sender [email protected].

  Currently, the only way to send a scan with your e-mail because the sender is, scan computer worms and attach the scan to e-mail or scanning to your email address and then track the message.

  This probably isn't the answer you were hoping for.

  Personally, I do not believe it will be much longer until HP finds a way to make it possible to scan to send to a printer with our own email as the sender. The technology is simply not that "Start Trek" yet.

• Mounting of the Scans

  On my old HP scanner (Sm4200c) I could edit my scans and then re-scan and preview shows the area that I have identified.  IE: If I had a smaller than A4 paper I could scan, edit it to remove the excess of the A4 and then re-scan and the analysis would then be a document in A4 format.  Is it possible on the 5520 because I can't seem to find how do?

  I understand you're wondering if you can change your scans with the Photosmart 5520. I will do my best to help you! The Scanjet 4200C is completely different compared to the Photosmart 5520. The software will be different, but I'll give you an example:

• The scan to PC on 5525 has stopped working!

  I am using 8.1 Windows 64 bit. I have not had any problems until a few weeks earlier. After a Windows Tuesday update, the scan function became unusable. The client PC says that it cannot communicate with the printer. The printer says canoe show the PC. It used to work perfectly, I used quite often scanning.

  I tried to reinstall the driver, no luck. Tried to use HP doctor or what and he says he can not solve the problem and I have to contact support.

  However I do know that Microsoft screwed up something like the Networkcommunicator.exe runs in the background at least pending 10.

  Also my neighbor just bought a printer totally even, and he has Win7 64 bit. He has downloaded the latest driver and installed and quess what - everything works perfectly ECXEPT scanning to PC.

  I use the Wi - Fi mode, printer's IP, it may be possible, it can print and it is visible on the network even through hpeprint.com

  It must be wound to MS and HP as several types of windows are affacted.

  Please provide a fix as soon as possible.

  I noticed your post on the "scan to computer" no longer works correctly after a Windows Update. I realized when I tried to reinstall the driver and software it has failed and the HP print and Scan Doctor could not solve the problem. I have seen that the printer can be crazy however, so that shows that it is on the network.

  I would like you to open this guide (choose your OS) and scroll to the bottom for "eight step: disable the services and startup programs" and start from there you have tried the steps in the guide. I hope that these measures will help! Use the guide on both computers.

• Menu has changed, the scans disappeared... need help!

  Since this morning, something changed with my ability to access to the & use my scanner on my printer function. I have the series of J611 3050 has and used the night to print and scan last and everything works great. But when I tried to analyze something earlier, nothing is beautiful.

  It used to be (not later than last night) when I clicked on the icon for HP desket a menu would open enabled me to choose what I wanted to accomplish. Now, when I click on this icon is "printer assistant" for which nothing happens when I click it I don't see, 'See what's printing' "set preferences" and 'customize your printer', which none have no bearing on this issue that I can find.

  It used to be (not later than yesterday) that when I scanned it something a window open which allowed me to make a few changes to analysis before you save it.  It was all the scans have been automatically saved in a specific file of my choice. This window opens now is no longer, and sweeping turns to in limbo where I can't find it.

  Can someone PLEASE help me understand what happened and how do I go back to the way things were?

  The solution I found to this problem is to uninstall the printer and reinstall using the latest drivers. HP released a new package of drivers for this printer and all printers that use a similar software, which corrects this problem.

• F4180 does not save the scans

  My F4180 used with OSX 10.9.2 ceased to give me the scans I can save.  It seems that it is scanning normally, then when I go to save it saves a document in all the black boxes and says to check that it is not set to read-only.

  Ideas?

  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand since the upgrade for the Mavericks 10.9 OS X, you are now no longer able to save documents or images when your HP Deskjet F4180 scanning.

  Please make sure that you have installed the driver correctly uses the Apple updates: OS X v10.9 Mavericks: installing and using the printer on a Mac, keep in mind that because there is no comprehensive software features and drivers for your F4180, you might need to analyze in different ways you did before you installed the Mavericks.
