Long wait for SAVE dialog windows

I just installed LV 2009 SP1 x 32 on a W7 x 64 platform.

Whenever I do something that evokes the SAVE AS dialog (native), I have to wait 60 seconds so that it is displayed.  LabVIEW is locked until it happens.  something is not.

Impossible to find info about it here.  Reset is not helping.  Any ideas?

    Every time I have shut down or restart my computer, I get a screen that says "Waiting for task host window" I tried to clean the registry, I did a chkdsk, I ran sfc/scannow several times now and this issue will not go away.  I am running Windows 7 64-bit with 4 GB of ram. I also tried to apply the patch, but I always get "this update is not applicable to your computer."

    Hello

    Thanks for posting your question on the forum of the Microsoft community.

    I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

    1. have you done any hardware or software changes to your computer recently?
    2. What is the brand and model of your computer?

    'The Taskhost' is a generic process, which acts as a host for the processes that run "DLLs" rather than "Exe". Starts, it checks the registry services part to build a list of the DLL-based services it needs to load, then load them.

    I suggest you try using the steps in this Microsoft support article and check if it helps.

  • Re: long wait for verification of the e-mail address for test Board

    A few days ago, I asked in the long waiting to have our verified email so that we can start our 30 day trial of the windows desktop. Its been a few days and still no response. I am considering buying just the dang program, because we need, like last week, but I guess I'm having the same problem, have to wait to get my checked email before we can use it. Is this correct?

    Hello

    It's a Microsoft product (not HP) and normally you get the email back immediately (automatic email). I actually ordered MS Office 15 (aka 2013) Pro Plus yesterday and less than 2 minutes, I got the key. The next step is to download the ISO file and install it on my machine. I don't download and install now, because I have not received my new machine waiting for a DVD of Microsoft backup (which I paid $15 more).

    Kind regards.

    While the closure of the pc I got the message: "1 program still needs to be closed: (pending of) task host window's task to stop execution and stop tasks that are already running".but there is no program running and I have to force it to close.how to solve?

    Hello

    Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
    Windows, then closing, checks all open programs. If there is, it sends a request for the program to close and wait until the program closes safely, to avoid any loss of data. But, Windows is waiting for some specified
    If you are sure that none of the programs are obviously open, you can try the following steps:
    Press Windows key + r, Type regedit and pres enter. If UAC prompts, click Yes. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-> expand System-> expand CurrentControlSet-> click on command (exapnd no do this). When you click (or select) control, you can see WaitToKillServiceTimeout. Double-click it to change the value. Set the value to 500 or less than that. Click Ok, and then close the registry editor. Now, restart the PC. If the problem persists, stop and try again and check.
    Be careful with registry access as incorrect values or remove the unknown keys can prevent Windows to start and it will fix it.

    Update of a BONE with the SP is good enough. The other day I have updated Vista on my laptop to SP2. No problem. But the UPGRADE, for example Vista for Win7 is best done with a complete new installation.

    I agree with Curt that Win7 is very stable and there is no need to wait for SP1. It may be convenient common enterprise environments wait for the first service pack to be released, but for a Publisher and with stability, illustrated with Win7, I think that approach is too cautious. However, before decide you on which system you want, either wait for CS5 to be officially announced (not rumors in the graveyard) this year (according to the expectations) and make your decisions or take the plunge now and maybe you may find that your choice has now been suboptimal, but it is always the case. Waiting will give you latest, faster and less expensive options, but you lose productivity now.

  • Long wait for the Internet connection at startup with Vista

    Basic box Vista my fiance started taking never catch an internet connection at startup. Since the arrival of her office up to the time that the red X little disappeared from the network in its tray icon took four and five minutes. I've tried everything to fix, but nothing has worked. I'm looking through its installed programs that is a bit like the Add/Remove program utility in windows XP THAT and I see what is called Hello. It is the software by Apple, which allows some other software network function. I think it installed when she got her new smart phone and install disks. In any case, I uninstalled Hello, restarted, and bingo!, completed internet connection for about ten seconds after the bureau came. So if you have a similar problem, check your list of programs and search for Hello. Uninstall it and see if it solves your problem of network in Windows Vista. If it doesn't, you can always reinstall Hello, if you really think that you need.

    Thank you for this report and congratulations to solve the problem.

    When I see Hello on a computer, it is usually the result of installation of iTunes.  iTunes uses to find the libraries shared over a network.   If you have a computer with iTunes, you need not Hello.  For more information, see Hello: frequently asked questions (FAQ). • Envy 17: update waiting for download with windows 10

    I have many updates Windows download up to 1 day. My PC is new and using Windows 10.

    Could you please help?

    OK, let's make sure I understand the problem...

    You are already using Win10 and you try to make the Office updates, but stops the download of updates to half way through and is not complete - you with the error message.

    Right so far?

    There is nothing you can really do about updates in Win10 regarding control of who you get or when you get them.  MS took these feautures away from us with Win10.  With the Home version, you have no control; but with the Pro version, you can delay, but not indefinitely.

    All you can do is keep going by train.  Finally, the PC will download all Office one updates apply to them.

  • Waiting for libraries freezing photoshop

    I just did an nuance and tried to save it. As soon as I clicked on save swatch, the ' waiting for libraries ' dialog box popped up and won't go away. Overall the program is frozen. I can't same command + tab of the program to get anywhere else. I had to ride in the Apple menu and find safari as a 'new element' to type this message. The progress bar is filled, but the dialog box won't go away.

  • Cancel the problem in a dialog window

    Hey supergeniuses! I'm kinda new to scripting in InDesign, although I made a few script Illustrator a few years. I'm familiar enough with javascript to make a difference, but I'm not 100% fluent.

    I'm trying to get back into it and I wrote this script which takes a selected collection and scales everything down to the same width or height (including the width/height line widths) based on the object in the collection with the size of the more small or large, or some entries manually the dimensions. There is an option also to constrain proportions during the measurement.

    The script itself works pretty well actually! My problem is that when I hit Cancel in the dialog, rather than to leave the script, he runs into the validation and gives me an alert 'Options'. Here is the code for the dialog window and lines of validation (yes I know I'm a little unnecessarily redundant and messy, but it helps me keep things straight):

    var dlg=new Window('dialog', 'Scale Multiple Objects');
            dlg.alignChildren="fill";
            dlg.options2=dlg.add('panel', undefined, 'Dimension', {borderStyle:'sunken'});
            dlg.options=dlg.add('panel', undefined, 'Object', {borderStyle:'sunken'});
            dlg.options.add('statictext', undefined, 'Choose which object will determine the chosen dimension.');
            dlg.options.optionbtns=dlg.options.add('group');
            dlg.options.optionbtns.orientation="column";
            dlg.options.optionbtns.optionSmaller=dlg.options.optionbtns.add('radiobutton', undefined, 'Object with smallest dimension.');
            dlg.options.optionbtns.optionBigger=dlg.options.optionbtns.add('radiobutton', undefined, 'Object with largest dimension.');
            dlg.options2.add('statictext', undefined, 'Choose which dimension will be scaled.');
            dlg.options2.optionbtns2=dlg.options2.add('group');
            dlg.options2.optionbtns2.orientation="row";
            dlg.options2.optionbtns2.optionWidth=dlg.options2.optionbtns2.add('radiobutton', undefined, 'Width');
            dlg.options2.optionbtns2.optionHeight=dlg.options2.optionbtns2.add('radiobutton', undefined, 'Height');
            dlg.add('panel', undefined, undefined);
            dlg.or=dlg.add('panel', undefined, undefined, {borderStyle:'raised'});
            dlg.or.alignChildren="center";
            dlg.or.add('statictext', undefined, 'OR');
            dlg.add('panel', undefined, undefined);
            dlg.manual=dlg.add('panel', undefined, 'Scale to Manual Dimensions', {borderStyle:'sunken'});
            dlg.manual.add('statictext', undefined, 'Alternatively, enter manual dimensions to scale the items to.');
            dlg.manual.add('statictext', undefined, 'You may enter either one or both dimensions.');
            dlg.manual.textboxes1=dlg.manual.add('group');
            dlg.manual.textboxes1.orientation="row";
            dlg.manual.textboxes1.add('statictext', undefined, 'Width:');

            dlg.manual.textboxes2=dlg.manual.add('group');
            dlg.manual.textboxes2.orientation="row";
            dlg.manual.textboxes2.add('statictext', undefined, 'Height:');
            dlg.manual.textboxes2.manualHeight=dlg.manual.textboxes2.add('edittext', undefined, undefined);
            dlg.manual.textboxes2.manualHeight.characters=10;
            dlg.manual.textboxes2.add('statictext', undefined, app.activeDocument.viewPreferences.verticalMeasurementUnits.toString().toLowerCase());
            dlg.aspectRatio=dlg.add('checkbox', undefined, 'Scale items proportionally?');
            dlg.btns=dlg.add("group");
            dlg.btns.orientation="row";
            dlg.btns.cancel=dlg.btns.add("button", undefined, "Cancel", {name:"cancel"});
            dlg.btns.add("button", undefined, "OK", {name:"ok"});
            dlg.show();

            if((dlg.manual.textboxes1.manualWidth.text==""&&dlg.manual.textboxes2.manualHeight.text=="")&&((dlg.options2.optionbtns2.optionWidth.value==false&&dlg.options2.optionbtns2.optionHeight.value==false)||(dlg.options.optionbtns.optionSmaller.value==false&&dlg.options.optionbtns.optionBigger.value==false))){
                alert("Choose options.");
                exit();
                }
            if((dlg.manual.textboxes1.manualWidth.text!=""||dlg.manual.textboxes2.manualHeight.text!="")&&((dlg.options2.optionbtns2.optionWidth.value!=false||dlg.options2.optionbtns2.optionHeight.value!=false)||(dlg.options.optionbtns.optionSmaller.value!=false||dlg.options.optionbtns.optionBigger.value!=false))){
                alert("Choose only one mode.");
                }

    So why is it alert me with 'Choose options.' when I hit Cancel it? It's probably something basic and stupid, but I can't seem to understand. I'm the first to admit that I have not much idea how OK/Cancel works... so any help would be amazing.

    When the script reaches the show() line, it shows the dialog box and waiting for

    He was fired (or if you have configured event listeners, of course

    He deals with them). Once the window is rejected (regardless of the value of the)

    Show() returns [and show() returns a value that indicates HOW the]

    dialog box was rejected]) the script simply continues to the next line and

    that is running. Who is be a line which gives a warning (see the)

    options box) in your case.

    In order to avoid that:

    Do a check to see what value show() returns. I can't remember offhand

    the value for Cancel. Maybe 2. So if dlg.show () == 2 just do an exit().

    Or conversely, if dlg.show ()! = 2 do the rest of the stuff.

    But you'll need to experiment a little see what is the value of the difference

    for show(). Just do alert (dlg.show ()) and try out with different

    buttons.

  • Wait for the entry?

    Hi all

    I need to create a custom entry dialog box and the problem I encountered is that I can't figure out how to make my request to wait for the user to complete the entries in the framework. When you use a JDialog or JOptionPane application will stop running and wait for the dialog box to close. My question is how to do something similar without using a JOptionPane or JDialog. I just can't figure out how to get the same effect by using a JFrame or other component. I know I could just use a JDialog or JOptionPane to get input from the user, but I'm just curious to know how I can stop running and wait for the entry as the JOptionPane allows you to do, but without using a JOptionPane or JDialog.

    Thank you for your help :)
    Nathan D.

    -----
    : Edit:
    I forgot to mention that the reason main I avoids JDialogs is I need the entry dialog box to be internal not external application I use mode exclusive fullscreen. And a JOptionPane does not allow me to add the other components too it such as JLabels and other GUI. I just need a way to get input from a component or internal window and wait for the entry as a JOptionPane or JDialog.
