Looking for Oracle 11.1 / 11.2 html library

Hi all

I'm using PL/SQL Developer 8.0 and it prompted me to open Oracle Database 11.1 or 11.2 html library, which is supposed to be around 370 Mr. I looked everywhere without success. My understanding is that Oracle site has been through the revision and the particular link to this HTML documentation has been removed.

Yes, is there anywhere that I can still find this library? Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards

Edward

Hello
I guess that the subject is not connected to the product (Oracle SQL Developer).

And if I just understood that you are Truing to build context-sensitive help in "PL/SQL Developer", then below info would be helpful.

Excerpt of the HTML of the product manual:

Step 2: Download the HTML documentation for the version of your Oracle server.

Version of the Oracle Server Size of the file
Library of Oracle 12.1 958 MB
Library of Oracle 11.2 826 MB
Library of Oracle 11.1 672 MB
Library of Oracle 10.2 446 MB
Oracle 10.1 library 257 MB
Library of Oracle 9.2 209 MB
Library of Oracle 9.0 210 MB

Step 3 - unzip the document library in a suitable directory.

Step 4 - Developer PL/SQL startup to install HTML Help and point to this directory.

  • Looking for Oracle Support Doc that explains + and * conventions used in the Oracle certifications.

    Hi all

A few months back I saw a (link to an oracle doc) post in the forums of essbase explaining the conventions used by oracle and what they mean when they say that a platform supports the "Software.1. * ' as opposed to '+ Software.1'. I tried Googling for the doc and after an hour of search and do not find that he decided to publish it. I'm sure that the link to this doc has been published by TimG or GlennS_3 or JohnGoodwin. I guess I should not be on Oracle Windows :) I heard that more than once.

I am browsing My Oracle Support (support.oracle.com) looking for the good patchsets for Oracle 11.2 g company on Windows Server 2003 64-bit database.

    All what I can't find is 11.1

I am browsing "Patches and updates" tab in My Oracle Support. Can someone tell me the downloads for Windows 64-bit and 11.2 Please?

    Thank you.

    John

Did you by chance average the 11.2.0.1 release? I don't think that any patchsets for 11.2 has been released?

  • Looking for advice reg Oracle 12 c installation on Ubuntu

    Hi gurus,

I need your advice on the installation of Oracle 12 c.

    Background:

Our application uses the Hibernate Java framework and its works well on Oracle 11 g.

Our customer wants to use Oracle 12 c for good.

I just need to confirm if my application runs on Oracle 12 c with existing configurations.

    My problem:

I'm pondering different options to quickly install Oracle 12 c on my Ubuntu. My network speed and bandwidth are not great, I prefer download as less as possible as my intention is simply to check the compatibility of my application. I was able to install Oracle 11 g 2 on my system which took a lot of effort, and I don't want to disturb this facility.

Here are the options I'm considering. Please guide me what is the possible choice and better quality. (As now I have not downloaded any software expect Oracle VM Virtual Machine for Ubuntu which is a 90 MB size)

    (1) I have vmware installed, download image for Oracle for Linux and Oracle 12 c database for Oracle for Linux. Create a virtual OS for Oracle for Linux, run Oracle 12 c

    (2) Download Oracle VM Virtual Machine for Ubuntu, download image for Oracle for Linux and Oracle 12 c database for Oracle for Linux. Create a virtual OS for Oracle for Linux and run Oracle 12 c. Installation of Oracle VM Virtual Machine for Ubuntu is to give a few problems that need to be sorted

    (3) download a Redhat Linux image and run it from VMware. Since Oracle 12 c is certified for Redhat, install on Redhat on Virtual Machine

    (4) install Oracle 12 c on Ubuntu itself through guides available on the web.

    My config system as follows:

    Ubuntu

    12.04 precision 64-bit output

    Kernel Linux 3.8.0 - 42-generic

    GNOME 3.4.2

    Memory: 7.7 G

    Processor: CPU i5 - 3230M @ 2.6 Ghz x 4

    Available disk space: 55.le GB

[in case it is the best place for the question, please direct me to the same.]

OK, it looks like your reference to 'Oracle for Linux' is in fact 'Oracle' - Oracle Linux version of the Linux operating system, built out of Red Hat Linux.

If this is what you mean - create a virtual machine that is running Oracle Linux... then, running Oracle RDBMS on this virtual machine, and then you run on an operating system taken supported Oracle.  It doesn't really matter what the host's OS.

Mind you, you would be probably hard pressed to actually get support in the form of an SR, but it does not appear that's really your concern, and it doesn't seem to me, the way I read your post, it should be a matter of concern.  You just want to run oracle on an OS that will be easy to install and have a justified expectation that thing will work as documented.

    (2) Download Oracle VM Virtual Machine for Ubuntu, download image for Oracle for Linux and Oracle 12 c database for Oracle for Linux. Create a virtual OS for Oracle for Linux and run Oracle 12 c. My previous comment seems to also apply to the #2 and #3 elements.

    (4) install Oracle 12 c on Ubuntu itself through guides available on the web.

    Bad idea.

    My config system as follows:

    Ubuntu

    12.04 precision 64-bit output

    Kernel Linux 3.8.0 - 42-generic

    GNOME 3.4.2

    Processor: CPU i5 - 3230M @ 2.6 Ghz x 4

    Available disk space: 55.le GB

55g available disk could be things short cut.  If you cannot release everything, you could get an external drive for a very reasonable cost and put your entire VM installation on it.  See other comments about the CPU for virtualization products.

  • Looking for a specialist Oracle, named Wilson Crawford

Hello, dear users of the forum.

I'm sorry, beforehand, this message is not appropriate for starting the oracle forums, because it has nothing to do with oracle technologies.
I'm looking for Crawford Wilson appointee. I know it's stupid to ask this question, as with the same name, there could be more than one person.
The problem is that I have sat exam Oracle in February and was waiting for my certification this month and today I got, but when I opened it, I saw that it of not mine and belongs to another person, named Crawford Wilson.

So, here put a thread, hopefully find him and make him know about it, maybe he also got my certificate, by mistake

    Thanks in advance!

    Ehtiram salvation,

I have a feeling it is usually one of the cases when you need to send an email to [email protected], provide your personal information (name, mailing address, test id) and describe your problems list it as you did here.
In a better situation Brandye (moderator of the Forum Certification) will see this thread and can have a look at the files in the OCP, but I suspect she'll ask you to send an e-mail to ocp-fullfillment_ww.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • Looking for recommendations for the best books break the Oracle certification

    Aloha everyone.

I am interested in taking partner level Oracle SQL and PL/SQL certification exams. I have tried for 3 months to prepare for the exam.

Please suggest me the best books to crack the following exams:

(Exam 1): Oracle 12 c basic SQL Database (exam code: exam 1Z0-061)

    (Review 2): Oracle Database 11 G: program PL/SQL (exam code: exam 1Z0-144).

    Thanks in advance.

(Exam 1): Oracle 12 c basic SQL Database (exam code: exam 1Z0-061)

    (Review 2): Oracle Database 11 G: program PL/SQL (exam code: exam 1Z0-144).

I maintain a list of equipment, including third party books, for Oracle certifications exploded by review.  The links for these two examinations are:

Oracle Certification Preparation: Details of the review and preparation of 1Z0-061 resources

Oracle Certification Preparation: Details of the examination and preparation for 1Z0 - 144 resources

Regarding the recommendations, 1Z0-061 has an Oracle Press book developed for it. They are almost always a good choice. The only books written specifically for 1Z0-144 is the study guide that I wrote.  In addition, many people have stated in the past that they used the book of Oracle PL/SQL Programming of Steve Feuerstein.

  • Looking for a revenge with fusion and change detection

    All,

I'm looking for a revenge that is able to insert new records and modify those that already exist, based on a notural key that if there are changes.

This feature is not available with one of the existing IKM (incremental update (MERGE) should be close)

However the above mentioned IKM will change each record that is loaded without trying the differences (aside from the key match of the cause).

We could use the IKM - SCD (slowly changing) case but we would need to define additional attributes to the target (active, date_from, date_to).

    Any suggestion would be appreciated,

    Bertram

    Looking forward to any respons.

    Bertram

    Hello.

You can get this behavior in ODI11g.

Maybe not the solution the beautiful but will do what you want. You will have a large join between the tables.

Just add the source and the target as 'sources' table in the interface design and build joins. You will have the result desired by using the current KMs.

If your source is composed of one or more tables. Create a temporary interface and reference in as a subselect in the final interface.

Test of performance because this can put more burden of leaving just to put updated everything.

Put this in a KM is the best option I think.

Have a look here. Maybe you find something useful.

  • End of the Date supported for Oracle BPM company autonomous 10gR 3

I'm running "Oracle BPM business standalone 10.3.1.0.0" and I can't find a date "end of support" for the product. I found a Metalink note that reported a 'BPM Matrix interoperability', here:

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/BPM/documentation/obpm-config-matrix-085247.html#bpmes10301031

who shows me the interoperability information, but no end of support date. Any ideas on where I could look at?

    Thank you

You can get this if you search for "Oracle lifetime support policy" on Oracle's Web site. At the top of this page, click on "Oracle Lifetime Support Policies"--> download the "duration of life-support-middleware - 069163.pdf" and go to page 31 of this document.

  • Test for oracle RAC workload. Ideas?

    Hello world

I'm looking for somethnig who test the database with big load
Any ideas how to achieve this. I would like to give my customers something
    They can count it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards
    Mohd

    Hi Mohd,

    I always use Swingbench.
Swingbench is a test of generator (benchmarks) designed to highlight the load free Oracle (9i, 10 g, 11 g) data.
SwingBench consists of a load generator, a coordinator and an overview of the cluster. The software allows a charge to be generated and transactions/response times to be traced.
Swingbench can be used to demonstrate and test technologies such as Real Application Clusters, rebuilt table online, Eve, backup recovery etc. and online databases.

  • looking for data security technology

I am looking for a technology or method to use for our need for advances in Oracle e-Business Security. The requirement is to put the mask on the level of the database and process-specific data, so that the user unauthorizied will not be able to see them. In terms of database, a database developer should not see the value of the particular column by querying the database table. At the application level, after that the user is allowed with certain responsibilities and connect to the application, we want to be able to put the mask over certain areas if we do not have this user to see.

I read the document Oracle database advanced security, I don't know if the Transparent data encryption can meet our requirement, because it did not mention application-level encryption.
We know all technology (not necessary Oracle) which can meet the requirement above?

    Thank you
    Kate

PL post complete versions of OS and the EBS. I think that the part of your needs (access to data) can be achieved using the database Vault - see http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/2008/02/using_oracle_database_vault_10.html.

I'm not sure that there are ways of data mask, even to authorized users.

Transparent encryption of data (TDE) only applies to data "at rest" - i.e. on disk. It decrypts the data when it is available. See http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/2007/01/transparent_data_encryption_ce.html
