  Hello, everyone, I'm new to this forum. I recently bought an IPF700 used off Craigslist for $175. There is no software or ink. I bought ink and a new maintenance cartridge, installed plain paper and viola, she came back to life. Printer-wise everything seems ok, no error message.

  I used two free software tools to check the performance of my desktop computer. They all find many errors (including registry errors) but they will not fix them without subscribing to them.

  So I know there is a method that is free but it's like a process 13 step to the password protect a folder. The user who needs this is not very computer savvy, so I need a simplified solution.   I can't say that I ever heard of a program that will do what you describe.  Wouldn't be easier to just create a user account for that person who is not giving them access to everything that is in the administrator account, if this is intended to prevent from opening/viewing certain files and folders?
