  I bought the Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2 is about 2 weeks now. I used it on my laptop but I recently got a new computer with a different operating system. My laptop was Vista (not sure if it was a service pack).   I have a new DELL Windows 7 computer, which can work normally in other older games.  However, this game does not.  Name of the game is Lord of the Rings: the battle for the 2 Middle-Earth.  It installed correctly.  When I insert the disc it pulls up a small menu, corresponding to 1 of the options to start the application.  When I click this, it opens a large loading screen, but this loading screen remains, until the computer turns off a dialog box indicating: "The Battle for Middle - Earth II has stopped working," and then loading the screen closes.  I tried troubleshooting and he did all that has contributed to the execution of the game.   I had a problem with this game as well.   Search the web for the same problem, I found this answer.

  the game was not allowed to create an options.ini in the C:\Users\[your login name] \AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earthfolder Files (tm). So if you don't see an options.ini you will need to create one yourself... it should contain the following lines:

  Tried of the Lord of the RINGS to work on my Dell computer.  It will load the files on the CD/DVD and allows you to uninstall them as well (I did several times).  When I try to play the game, I receive a message to install the correct CD, which is funny because the good CD is already in the drive.  It irritates me a bit since it worked on my old computer very well.

  I just bought The Witcher Enhanced Edition and installed. When I go to run the game it says "insufficient privileges: you must be an administrator to run this application for the first time." So I right click and select run as administrator, same thing, I uninstalled and right clicked reinstalled with a right-click Run as administrator, still a lot of hole of nothing. I just unlocked my administrator account, repeat the previous steps 5 times still same thing. If someone can please help me because I don't know how much more administrative I can get before I destroy it windows 7.

• Problem with 'The Witcher Enhanced Addition' with Windows 7

  I recently bought a copy of the witcher. I was able to install it on my computer (windows 7), but when I tried to start the game, it appeared a warning box that says that the minimum requirements were not met. It's hard to believe because it works on my brothers computer, and mine is better than hers in every sense. The only difference is that there is a windows XP. Any help will be appreciated.
