Losing sleep!

All hope to recover my missing tabs? I am working on a project and had 50 + tabs open in one window. My window "recently closed" is grayed out in the Version of Firefox 29.0.1
I had this problem a few years ago, so I put browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo; 10.
Thank you

Windows recently closed list (or in the menu new restore closed windows list) should only be grayed out/empty if there is nothing to restore.

If you open multiple windows (for example, right-click a bookmark > open in a new window several times) and then close them, the menu works as expected?

If this does not work and you are not starting in a private window, then something certainly is broken...

    Hi all

Application is a medical Client / Server using SQL in the database model. and resides on the SBS 2008 with XP Server and client computers.

Rather that to load the client on windows XP, it would not sense to simply run the application console using the Terminal Server services and configure the application to start an hour of connection on. Given that the application requires administrator rights to run, how can I assign admin right only on demand, so when they connect, they can use the application with the given admin rights but do not have access to the rest of the server or control?

#1 don't concentrate too much on the W3C validation.  3rd party widgets contain scripts that you have no control over, so there is no interest in losing sleep over all the errors they can throw.

  • comments or mounted VMFS iSCSI?

I'm stuck. I'm about to do some conversions from P - to-V, but before I do I want to make sure I have properly configure my storage. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Setup

Reference Dell R710 running ESXi 4

    Dell EqualLogic PS6000 iSCSI SAN

Currently, I have a few very large volumes on the SAN (2.0 1.5 TB) to be my warehouses up to some comments from Suse Linux ES. I have volumes/data warehouses for the operating system itself that I ride the big volumes/data warehouses in the sharing of files/Home areas, etc.. Although the 2.0 TB 1.5 we should last awhile, I fear I might have to increase the storage space in the next 2 years. What I read, I can not simply to increase the size of the volume on the SAN and then increase the VMFS datastore. If this is true, who can put me in a difficult position later.

So my question is - I'd be better off using an initiator iSCSI in the prompt to mount these volumes directly from the SAN? I would gain the ability to resize these volumes in the future?

    I'm losing sleep over this...

    Thank you

    Jason

I think that the answer will almost always come down 'it depends' rather than a "this is how you should do it."  You will need to run instant EqualLogic or replication on this large LUN?  If so, it might make more sense to have it as an iSCSI attached inside the guest volume and not a VMDK file on a VMFS storage.  You will always be able to expand the LUNS on the fly if you need to.  That way the snapshot might be conscious application, but I don't know if the EqualLogic Host Integration Toolkit supports Linux (maybe, not sure).

If you attach it inside the comments rather than VMFS volumes then you will need to do multiple paths inside the host, rather than the ESX level.  Not better/worse, just different.

Make sure you understand all your needs before making any design decisions that will be difficult to change in the future.

  • Question sleeping on all new Satellite Pro U500-1EX

    Hi guys,.

    I have a new Satellite Pro U500-1EX with Windows 7 64 bit.

The laptop is having some problems with its function of sleep. I wonder if others have had the same problem - and if anyone knows anything that can be done.

    OK, there are two questions;
    1. when the laptop enters sleep mode - it will come out it its own after a while. He goes to the login screen and wait about another hour before falling asleep. That's when it is plugged into the power - and no LAN.

    2. when I close the lid to put the laptop into standby - and while on battery - after awhile he will supply any. Connect the power supply won't do anything - the power light not at all - which suggests that the laptop don't even note not be plugged. I have to then remove the battery and turn the computer on (thus losing all the data that I had when I put the computer to sleep!).

So, have you seen this issue with your satellite pro? This is something common and being ignored - or y at - it an easy solution for it?

    Thanks in advance.

    -Audette

    Hi Audette,

I have the Satellite U500 also but I can t notice any question about fashion 'sleep'. It works perfectly with an OS preinstalled Toshiba and the latest version of the BIOS. Then perhaps you need to update the BIOS as suggested Timox.

Before you begin the update, close all running programs (also, AntiVirus and firewall), make sure you are logged in as administrator and do not stop the computer being updated.

By the way: you use the preinstalled operating system from Toshiba?

  • Satellite Pro T130 - unable to wake from mode 'sleep'

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro T130 running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

After installing the Wireless Update September 29, such Manager recommended by Tempro, I'm problems with an awakening of the mode standby. Most of the time my laptop just don't wake up more and all I can do is to the hard switch off and turn it back on. I tried to solve the problem by changing the configuration options of the advanced sleep mode, and it seemed to work for a while, and problems to restart again.

Please help me with this issue, it is terribly annoying to have to turn off and turn on again everytime my laptop goes into mode 'sleep', not to mention the fact that I have to take care of not to let something unregistered, to avoid losing data.

    Thanks in advance.

  • AS200V in mode sleep?

    Hey there,

just got this camera for a few days and im having an issue.

Is there some kind of sleep mode this camery?

PS: you can add a feature 'show' on the distance as well, its mostly being used to activate or deactivate records anyway and the fact LED a quite good job showing you. It's just losing power otherwise

The camera has a splash screen, although it will not be the type of standby mode, you are looking for.

You can start a recording, even when the device is turned off by pressing the record button on the camera. This turn the unit on and then immediately start a recording.

Looking for a sleep mode that you won't find on the AS200, only on the HDR AS50, AS300 and FDR X 3000, where you can move the camera power switch to live view remotely and control then.

If this feature is very important to you, and you can always return the AS200, return it and get an AS50 instead or wait a few weeks until what the AS300 releases.

  • No switching mode battery slice "sleep."

I have a T520 (4240, BIOS 1.28) with batteries primary and 27 ++ "slice" of 55 ++. With the main battery on 80% charge the battery slice 8% load, I closed the lid and machine went to 'sleep '. I had not used for a few days and when I finally opened the cover, I found the power had been lost and the machine had to be started cold, losing my previous session.

While a few days, the battery slice fell to 0%, and then the machine lost power. Never, he opted for the main battery, which was still about 80% of the fees. This is the expected behavior? It doesn't seem fair to me.

  • Why my PC closed when it is supposed to wake from sleep?

I've recently updated to an SSD and use it for programs and Windows and my SATA hard drive is my documents.  Installed everything ok, but now when I press the sleep button on my keyboard, it will stand by ok, but by pressing the power button on my Tower, it goes into stop down instead of out of his sleep.  All my power management settings are the value ever.  It worked when I had just the SATA drive.  There is no wake capability of keyboard or a mouse, I can use the power button on the Tower of is to wake up.

    Thank you

    Thanks for the replies.

I actually fixed it last night installed by the software of the feeder for my battery backup (UPS) APC.  Once this is done, I can resume sleep ok now.  I think that Windows got confused, thinking that my PC was a laptop because of the ups or something.

BTW, I love Eve because it is fast and saves energy.  I always close all programs before you go into sleep mode, so there is no risk of losing anything.

  • Why I keep losing internet connection?

For a long time, I keep losing the internet connection.

    I lose the connection when:

    • I move to a different location around the House
    • Another computer is turned on
    • I just returned from a sleep mode

Why is this? Because of the router?

    Help, please! Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Your router could be suspicious here, you have successfully updated its firmware as a possible solution? And
I would update your WiFi drivers on computers. How you are positioned in the router?
Are there obstacles in the path?

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver-
Note the version - click on update driver (can't do anything as MS is far behind certifying)
drivers). Then right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver
    stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

Download - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version.
(Those become your fonts of rescue system manufacturer).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers Vista
    love the updated drivers.

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If Windows Update suggests a just HIDE
because they are almost always old, and you can search drivers manually as needed.

Make sure you know the details of connection to your wireless router - SSID and password.

You lose connection when you do and have to redo your logon.

Control Panel - Network & Sharing Center - right, click custom - defined network
Locations page - down left click on merge or delete locations networks - REMOVE ALL THE

  • Losing Internet connection because of the default gateway is not available.

I keep losing internet connection and when I run the troubleshooter, it comes up saying "the default gateway is not available". I have an HP with Intel dv6985se. I was advised to do the following:
I had the same problems of chance which I fixed it by simple disabling 'SLEEP ON DISCONNECT' SideScalng disconnect

1 Access Device Manager (Control Panel > system and security > system > Device Manager)
    2. expand the network adapters
    3. Select the adapter that you are using (if more than 1 Repeat step 4 to 8 for each adapter)
    4. right click and select Properties
    5 click Advanced
    6. If you have installed Nvidia Ethernet configuration click the button
    7. scroll to the bottom of the list and disable the device sleep on disconnection and receive Side Scaling
    8. save the settings

I appreciate this help info but none of this applies to my computer has. In my device under 'Network adapters' Manager, I do not have Nvidia, Asus and AMD, which is listed under my network cards is "Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN" and "Realtek RTL8101E Family PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)".

The help that I've provided says disabling "Sleep on Disconnect" and "Receive Side Scaling"... or those who are in one of my "adapter properties tab advanced options" for both my Intel and Realtek... no where does say anything about sleep on disconnect or side scaling.

I was online with HP cat many times and Ive tried the options they have provided that is basically what I've found here but nothing has worked so far! My computer is 1 1/2 old and is preinstalled with Vista 64-bit. Recently, I have completely restored my computer with Windows 7 64 bit, and ever since then, I can't download anything or talk to HP or any kind of help because I lose the connection. Could someone please help me solve this problem... to be frank and honest he pisses me off beyond words that I never had this problem when I'm on Vista!

I don't know what else I can provide to better help me to solve this problem, but if anyone would like more information on what programs etc, my computer has let me know and I will provide the information. Below, I'm pasting the info I received through my history of troubleshooting like a Notepad of paper Network Diagnostic and Route.Print document.
