Loss of quality when recording in pdf format

Hello

I did a post card, I have pages, but when I save it as a pdf file, that it loses quality and society who do it says the quality is bad and the picture will come out blurry on the cards. What should I do?

I hope someone can help!

Natascha

If you include anything with transparency, (areas of text, shadows, mirror effect, graphic png/tiff, image borders, cells of a transparent table, etc) that will be solved in your PDF in 72 dpi, even when better PDF in PDF export. If you start with low resolution images, this will not improve at the printer.

Pages is generally not well suited as a tool for quality commercial printing.

When I save my illustrator CS5 file to PDF gradients disappear.

Is this a bug or is there a way around this issue?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi Monika,

I just stumbled upon the answer!

It's because I used a mixture of pantone and RGB colors to create the gradient.

When I changed them all to pantone or RGB, it has exported to PDF perfectly.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to help.

  • Piercing group option not applied when recording in pdf format

    Hello!

Worked on a logo that has suddenly brush realistic research - meaning vectorize the characteristics of the project of hundreds of differently shaded layers. The logo features a layer of flower shape to be cut in the logo.
The matter shortly: Is it possible to cut out the outline of the shape on a group that features 'say cent' layers of different colors (30)

I tried (without a desired outcome):

-Pathfinder - less before (with click) works only with this group
-Pathfinder - less before (alt/option + click) making it a compound path - does not because it turns the whole group in one color
-Option group piercing under opacity settings, who worked first - but save the file as a pdf, the knockout group option does not work. She is either disabled or forms of flower as group piercing are white.

    I'm using Adobe Illustrator CC

    Thank you!

The purpose of "mask" is not in the area of tile "Opacity mask" in your first image. Make sure you the flower above the layer objects, all select and choose "Make opacity mask" in the Panel flyout transparent menu. This will be above a mask. You can then turn OFF "clip" in order to see the outside part of the mask.

    Should look like this:

You can have more than one article on the mask opacity and different values. Color is ignored.

Please note: WHEN you first create an opacity mask will only recognize the subject of top-level (or compound shape). Later, you can edit and create objects on the mask at will, just like in normal mode. By default, only the mask 'effect' is visible. To display ONLY the mask OPTION + click on the thumbnail of the mask.

Check if it is on a layer marked as non-printable, or if the non-printing attribute is checked in the control panel. You will need to change whrever find you.

What version of Premiere Elements and on what operating system works - it?

What is the brand/model/parameters of the camera that records video? What is the file extension that is associated with the file? What is the bit rate of the file that is imported?

Is the decline in quality import and when you watch the video in the Edit area monitor? Or do you see loss of video quality when you view this Timeline content export? When you view the video in edit box monitor, you're looking at timeline rendered or unreturned content? No coloured line, orange line or a green line on the content of the timeline?

  • Record in PDF format

    Hello

Hope that you're enjoying the weekend.

I work in an Illustrator document that will eventually be a PDF. I do test record to see what it looks like in PDF format.

However, she does this every time it seems to also save it in Illustrator in PDF format, because when I come back to Illustrator, the file is a document illustrator with a .pdf file type.

    Is anyway to avoid this?

    Thank you!

    graph,

You can save a copy in PDF.

You should always do or close the document after the backup.

If you save to PDF without preserve Illustrator editing capabilities, that PDF is no longer a file HAVE, so you can destroy your documents by saving.

  • Loss of quality when sharing

I've recently updated to Windows Movie Maker for first Elements 8 and when I burned my project, I noticed a significant loss of quality.  The source media is pretty poor, I use a Panasonic VDR-D160 DVD from camcorder mini (Yes it's a nightmare do total import images), and when I import images is a. VOB file.  The stats for the. I work with VOB files are photos of 704 x 576 which goes to 25 frames per second.  The flow is 9558 kbit/s and the total flow is 9814 Kbps.

The first project that I did is very simple, with minimal editing and without effect.  However, when I burn it to a DVD or a DVD file it modifies the image and 720 x 576 and reduces the data rate and bitrate 7464 Kbps 7656 kbit/s respectively.  This creates an obvious pixelation of the image, especially for the parts of the video that move and can be seen on TV in lower resolution.  Sharing/editing the video, how to keep the same quality as the original?  I have been through the help, and due to my lack of understanding of the elements of the first, I was not able to determine if it's just a matter of changing the settings.

    Thank you!

Unfortunately, you start with a material that has already been compressed heavily to the format/CODEC MPEG - 2. Then you are editing and a Scaled upward (the DVD spec for PAL) out and then re-compressed in MPEG-2. It is a triple whammie. Because the pre does not have "smart Rendering", what you see is what you get.

A better choice for the limited edition, basically just cut the material, would be a program that "smart," where all the material, which is not changed, except to remove parts of it, would NOT be converted a second time in MPEG-2. I think that some of the products Sony Vegas, but there are others. If you Google "smart rendering", you will see several programs that have this. I would choose those.

You will always have the question of the scale, unless you allow your more completely than the electric material specific to be surrounded by black. If evolve you in editing software, even with a smart rendering, it must then be transcoded into MPEG-2 all over again.

With images, the choices are very limited.

Good luck and sorry for the bad news.

  • Column width set to 0 when printing to PDF format

    Oracle Application Express Version: 4.2.0.00.27

    Apex listener Version: 2.0

We have a classic report with 20 columns. Out of them, few are conditional.

We use attributes of the print to print the report in PDF format. The problem with the PDF and printed, it keeps the column width of all the columns in the PDF file, even if they are hidden. We put the column width for all columns of 20 in the print attributes section.

Can we set the column width to 0 in the PDF output for columns that have hidden due to the State?

HI - so what you are trying to accomplish? The conditional columns are not included in the PDF file. And the column width for the PDF file is set as a percentage of the available space. So I guess that what you need is for the remaining columns, i.e. those who are included, to fill the available space, but is not because even if the conditional columns are not displayed, they still use place. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to conditionally set the column width, or update the width of the columns according to the conditions. You can try your own custom report layout, or use the APIs of printing for export and under certain conditions using different presentations.

I'll take a good score to see if we can improve the logic using the layouts of integrated report to be a little smarter on the use of space when the columns are excluded under certain conditions.

  • Save location by default when printing to PDF format

    Hi all!

I'm working on a remote server with r2 Windows Server 2012 and when I print the format PDF Adobe prompt me where I want to save my file the default location is drive c. server that I am connected.

Is there a way I can change the default location to a specific folder on the C drive of my local computer and not the server?

    Hi djvaldes21,

You can select a folder where default Acrobat will save all files when convert you to PDF using Adobe PDF printer.

To do this, open the printer Adobe PDF Preferences and change the location of the folder desired under the label 'from Adobe PDF output folder. Click Browse to add or change the output folder.

    Hope that helps.

  • Loss of quality when scaling down

I have a Camtaisa screen capture video which is 1738 x 1188 (Fig 1). I wanted to reduce the video in AE CS6 to fit a little better in a 720 p timeline so that I can make a few simple dishes throughout the image. However, when I've scaled down (75%) the image loses a ton of details and gets pretty sweet (photo 2). I think it would get more net - this seems completely contrary to intuition for me and I tried several options, including continuous rasterization and make 3d layer and scaling but no joy on either. Any ideas on how to put the image down so that it fills several of the model 720 without losing sharpness of details? I'm not zoom, I repeat... I'm not zoom - so this isn't the issue.

    original AE pic.png<-sharpResized AE pic.png<-soft

Come to know that he was actually replacing the PP timeline with a model of EI that results in the loss of quality. CNTRL-I put in the PP chronology in AE kept them more clear.

  • Lines/undesirable traits around object when printing to PDF format

    Hi all

When I place a document in Adobe Indesign CS3 it seems perfect on the screen.

But when I print to PDF in the PDF file, most of the objects show the wrinkles around them.

Of course, I put the race to '0' and color 'None '. The traits do not arise in Indesign and not when printing to printer directly.

But when I save it as a PDF there are all of a sudden these traits in the PDF file.

The features appear on Indesign (example oval and text objects) objects, on inserted EPS, TIFF, PNG, and GIF.

Can someone tell me what what should I do to prevent these features around the display of the PDF object, printed Indesign?

Thank you in advance, I appreciate all help.

    Best,

    JP

The white lines are called artifact sewing flattening transparency. Instead print format PDF, EXPORT to PDF format and using Acrobat 5 or greater compatibility, who will be leaving the live transparency and eliminate stitching artifacts.

  • CAD drawings can be flattened when converted to PDF format - OR - software free Adobe can flatten a PDF file?

I get CAD drawings converted to PDF format on a regular basis to clients using various CAD software systems.  Almost always, the PDF retains the layers created in the CAD document.  Preserving layers significantly slows down the loading time of the PDF and increases the file size as well in my opinion.  If the layers are not selectable or in a list, I can see load a (ie. topo, plans floor, title, block, etc.) on each page of the PDF file.  Does anyone know how to remove the overlay effect?  I heard the PDF file must be "crushed" or perhaps the CAD software is export to PDF there is a parameter that would flatten the layers.  However, I have not the possibility on my PDF software to flatten, and my architects/clients use different CAD software systems, so I don't know how to educate to flatten documents.

    Hi Katie,

You can flatten the pdf using Acrobat, here's how: choose Tools > print > Overview of flattening.

For detailed information, please see the following link: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/transparency-flattening-acrobat-pro.html
