Hello
If IE is involved and of the foregoing did not help.
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - IE with no Addons - what works best?
IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore, and then click Reset - apply / OK
IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security tab - click on reset all default areas - apply / OK
Close and restart IE
not better?

Hi all
Just when I thought that I had worked on Service levels...
I tried the following two provisions separately within Service Builder:
Service Service [Global] [Global]
Service Cluster Cluster Service [Global] [Local]
node1a node1a
node1b node1b
host2 host2
host3 host3
The color coding is quite simply for the sake of description and show different levels of services.
- [Global] service is all 'container' for the hosts contained in the service and overall.
- host2 and host3 are hosts of autonomous - if two of them have a fatal alarm, which affects the service so the number of SLA fall of 100%.
- Cluster service is the 'container' for the two-node cluster and is at the same level as host2 and host3. I tried both a local and a global service for this service.
- node1a and node1b is a two-node cluster - if one of these nodes has a fatal alarm, this should not affect the number of ALS as the other node is still ongoing. I have created a registry setting in FSMServiceSLP_PercentageAvailableThreshold for Service Cluster [Global] against the value of 50, as well as Service of Cluster [Local] FSMService against FSMChildService of a value of 50, the logic being that 50% of guests at the service (i.e. a server) is always available, the availability of the service is not affected.
My understanding is that availability of service numbers are inherited "upwards". In other words, if I create a fatal alert on node1a, what should happen is that Cluster Service remains at 100% (there are still 50% of the available servers node1b still works, that's why the service is not affected) and Global Service remains at 100%.
However, what seems to happen in practice, it is that the Cluster Service remains at 100%, but the Global Service begins to drop his SLA figure, showing a loss of service. This is the case without worrying if the Cluster Service is defined as a local or a global service. This can be confirmed by visiting the dashboard of Service for the Cluster Service and Service levels although there is a fatal alarm for node1a.
Is it possible for the figure of service level should be given exactly? In other words, the Service should remain 100% unless that be host2 and host3 or (node1a and node1b) are not available?
It comes to vFoglight PRO 6.7.1 build 5.6.4.2. I built the services in the usual way, the option «Foglight can automatically add hosts...» "is not selected and the level is set to the default"let Foglight decide. "
Thank you
Brian
Well, we have this finally solved - Foglight does not calculate the availability of level of service properly, at least not in the way we have been lead to believe. To summarize...
If the function is defined as follows:
[Global] service
[Global] Cluster service
node1a
node1b
host2
host3
If node1a has a fatal alarm, Service [Global] Cluster is not affected (which is OK because it has a value of registry FSMServiceSLP_PercentageAvailableThreshold of 50), but [Global] Service starts to drop (which shouldn't happen). This is because the level of service availability calculation is also global alarms that would also alarms the child objects. To work around this, change the level of availability of underlying service code.
Go to Administration | Data | Manage the derived parameters and filter availability:
Select the metric range derived from FSMServiceLevelPolicy: sourceIds = $null by clicking on availability:
Select the calculations derived metric by clicking on FSMServiceLevelPolicy: sourceIds = $null:
Replace the existing code in the code Expression box in the attachment, and then click Save. This operation takes you to the screen change the derived metric. You need to click on save here too, otherwise your code will not change.
When you install your services, you can use global services to allow you to reuse the service in other parts of your service structure, however, when you set the percentages in the Variable of registry FSMServiceSLP_PercentageAvailableThreshold, these values are set against the topology of FSMServiceLevelPolicy Type:
Once all this is done, the availability of level of Service for the [Global] is displayed and calculated correctly.
My thanks to Philipp von dem Bussche-Hünnefeld from Dell to provide the code and help and especially for allowing me to share with the communities.
Brian
Warning: a full assessment has not been made to see if there is an impact on the other customer on the SLA management scenarios, so use this code at your own risk.

You can easily buy an upgrade to Windows 8. For example, the command
Amazon.com.However, note the following:
1. Although you can use the upgrade version, it is not really a
upgrade; He's going to do a clean install, which means that you will
reinstall all your programs.2. you can use Windows 8 drivers for some of the materials in
your computer and it is likely that its manufacturer is not
them is available for an old man like a Windows XP - era computer.3. While your computer can meet the minimum requirements for
Windows XP, it will almost certainly not be Windows 8 with
acceptable performance. You probably need to update several
hardware components and it can cost much more to buy a new
computer. -
I just installed the E2500 think my old router was the problem and still have intermittent problems with wireless connectivity. I always excellent (all bars) of the signal, but internet access come and go, even though my wired connection to the same router is good. I have check the connectivity with the network and sharing Center in the tool bar. I have the same problem with my Dell laptop, my Cisco bridge used with my BluRay and my wife IPhone and IpPad. Comcast said that their monitor shows no loss of service in the last days, when I had connectivity problems. Any ideas?
Update:
I gave up and paid $40 + $6 / mo for Comcast wireless phone support. Very useful, but they could not also support the bridge wireless for my BluRay. And they had my printer on the network to start. He took my screen and made the appropriate changes in the settings through Cisco Connect. The problem comes from my MS Vista operating system. He plays well with the system of encryption used for the wireless. XP and Win 7 is ok. They have intensified the wepa to WEP that intends to change the security system. Seems to work now. Hooray. With less encryption setting is slower, 54 Mbps, rather the 144 I see me before then it worked. Much better than zero.

What is the Module Microsoft Wireless Router?
that must be the "module on microsoft wireless router. I have Windows 7.
Well,.
Although we still don't have a definitive answer to the "what is...". ' question, the problem that you described, Cyrus, is very similar to what I experienced market with the Vista computer, I use now, since I got it, in fact. In other words, a signal Wi - Fi can be used by everyone in the House solid, but every now and then I am unable to connect with this machine. A router reset always restores the feature, and I've found over the years that the router has something to do with her, a daily loss of service with a couple of marks and perhaps a month going with the other (the one I use now). But the problem is always specific to that computer.
And the wireless adapter (USB type) on this machine is not a problem; I used several years without any difference. It's as if this computer gets "kickoff" of the network because of its specific computer name or that it either, and in my case, the network does not even appear on the list of those available. I can see the neighbors across the street and block, but not my router... until I reset, that is. Maddening.

about relief AP for code 4.0:
If a main controller has failed and then comes back online AP is re - join automatically with the loss of service?
Thank you
So if the original controller becomes avaialble does the AP join to it automaticaly and is service affected?
Yes. There is loss of wireless services during the switch over the controller secondary/tertiary to the PDC.
NOTE: Make sure that you configure the primary/secondary/tertiary controllers correctly. During my 'play' with the 4.0 configuration of controllers in primary/secondary/tertiary using GUI does not work. Details of primary/secondary/tertiary controllers (IP address and the names of WLC) must be entered via CLI.

Crash the server of blackBerry Smartphones! Compensation?
It is now 3 days without full blackberry service and I wanted to know everything as most users want to know is also RIM will offer compensation for the loss of services. I lost my emails for work and was not able to do my job properly.
Who is that you regularly pay your services?
Talk to them, probably your mobile operator, because they take your money.
If they say you need to call RIM/BlackBerry, you must ask them a telephone number.
It is a community of users support forum. We are not employed RIM, but volunteers who enjoy helping other users.

We are in a phase of re-architecture of our databases and all recently, we had the 4th SAN blip since a SAN has existed in our shop.
We are contemplating having two different SEM (maybe even from different vendors) to remove the single point of failure. Yes, our SAN was sold as a' double' and could never break SAN. BUT still, it shares the same firmware that of course after a firmware upgrade blew his brain when he was trying a failure more leaving us with a 'brown' failure (hum down half of the systems, a quarter in a State of funny and a quarter). 4 outages, 3 different brands of SAN.
I read some stuff on ASM but am not finding a clear answer, I can mirror all data flows to our Oracle for two different SAN databases so that doesn't break 1 SAN, SAN 2 takes over without any loss of service? Or would still need some Dataguard or something to make it work?
Thanks for any answers in advance.
Paul.
Yes you can do it with the installation of the ASM diskgroup as normal dismissal. Explain, you create two failgroups has a single call and another call B. In A failgroup you would put all the SAN disk/LUN has and in failgroup B you would put all the disk/LUN SAN B.
We had the same problem with a SAN failure we have converted our group of ASM disks in normal redundancy of questions the firm failure.
If you send me your email, I can send you a document I created during our tests, so that you can get more understand the possible configuration.

If you check out Metalink/MyOracleSupport, you will find a few performance bugs, etc. that is found recently and are still open.
Example (after searching on X$ KSPPCV):
Bug 15858332 : ADD FIXED INDEX for X$ KSPPCV. INDX AND X$ KSPPI. KSPPINM
Severity 2 - severe loss of Service Product Version 11.2.0.2.0
Status 11 - Bug Code/material (answer/solution)"DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS:
--------------------
Due to the lack of fixed index on X$ KSPPCV and X$ KSPPI, the optimizer must
Choose the fixed table of full scans on both and can easily choose a join order
This results in poor performance (join them after other tables with X$ KSPPCV)
first). See bug 13724904 for a more in-depth analysis to explain why the plan is frequently
poor. » -
Virtual machine unavailable during the snapshot
Hello
I wanted to check with others to see how snapshots affect your virtual machines. I work in several small VMware environments and have seen similar effects when taken snapshots VMs.
Today I made a SQL server (Windows 2K 8 running SQL 2008) fueling a sharepoint site. The snapshot lasted about 30 seconds and during this time, the sharepoint site was not available. In this case the ESX Server runs on a 1.5 3.5 years HP DL380 G5 with a HP MSA2324 G2 SAN on the back-end.
After noticing the outtage service I tried taking a file & server snapshots print somewhere else, in this case running ESX 4.0 on a HP DL380 G6 with an EMC CX300 on the back-end. In this case, I also experienced a service outtage, I was unable to access file shares when the snapshot. In this case, the snapshot took a few minutes to complete, I guess it is because data drives are on 7.2 K disks. During the first minute of the snapshot I couldn't access the shares, once he got close to 100%, I was able to access file shares.
In both scenarios, I only lost a ping, from the beginning of the snap. When deleting snapshots, I have not experienced any loss of service.
Is this a normal experience or could it be caused by a misconfiguration or a lack of resources?
Thank you
I would have a look at the Snapshots of understanding . Depending on the options that you have chosen with your snapshot - suspend or memory from the operating system will freeze activity until the snapshot is completed. Also take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/5962168

Not able to find any that bugs listed in version 11.1.2 on Metalink Notes
Hello world:
We start our development using JDeveloper 11.1.2.1 and JHeadstart 11.1.2.1 and note a few things:
(1) there is now a JDeveloper 11.1.2.2 However, it appears to us that this version is not fixing all the bugs listed in the post of Steven found here Daavalaar then release the Jheadstart for this reason, we believe that there is no need for JDeveloper 11.1.2.2 at this time. I would appreciate any opinion on that.
(2) by looking at the Release Notes of JHeadstart 11.1.2 there are 4 Bugs that I can't find on Metalink to get details of the and the State of the correction, if there is one. I searched by bug number and the description of the bug. I can't find the 4 below. Is there a reason why these aren't on Metalink?

(3) for the information of anyone who reads this, there are 3 bugs listed on 22 in as fixed Steven listed. I listed those which is fixed below and they will be fixed in JDeveloper * * 12.1.2 any bugs Steven listed are category 2 "severe loss of Service.

UMary,
The bugs that you might not find were marked as internal, I changed the flag to the public for the first three bugs, the last of them is declared against a development version, I can't do what a public.
None of them have been fixed in 11.1.2.2.Steven Davelaar,

Oracle not available, ORA-01034 &; ORA-27101
Hi all
OK, I went and he again (messed up). I hope someone can help to guide me out of this, I thought I was doing OK. I'll try to be concise and yet provide enough detail. Thank you in advance for wading in it. I searched this forum and others, I'm not the first with this pair of ORA errors, but other threads did not help me to solve this problem. I'll be crossed this announcement on other forums, but not to areas of discussion here.
Two questions:
1. that I did wrong, what should I have done before running / after running game patches? (I have the Oracle documentation for the patch, but I got confused/lost in all the information on clusters & other).
2. What can I do to get it back? (Other that scratch completely and start again, I have seem to be able to perform).
I have a production system currently running on Windows Server 32 10.2.0.5. I created a dump and was re-hosting to a new server to test the upgrade of 3rd request of the party who sits on Oracle (PTC Windchill) the new server running server 2003 64 - bit. I had Oracle 10.2.0.4 installed from a Windchill upgrade previous trial. I ask the 10.2.0.5 patch set on the new server before importing the dump, but now it throws the following errors when I try to connect to sqlplus system / < pwd > @sid:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
How I got here:
a. before you start, I was able to connect to SQL * Plus, 10.2.0.4.0 as system / < pwd > @sid. I dropped the user of PTC Windchill database with waterfall, successfully.
b. in Services window, I stopped OracleServiceWIND, Oracle_HomeTNSListener and OracleDBConsloewind. They are the only Oracle services running.
c. Ran the installer downloaded Patch from Oracle to start YES. ORA-home identified, patch set correctly installed. Log in to the file installActions repors "installing Oracle Database 10 g Release 2 Patch Set 4 was successful." Log file written reports even.
d. open a command window and attempted to sql * more open as a system, has failed with above errors.
e. checked in Services window, all the Oracle services began. Ran > netstat - tcp, tnslistener.exe abnp showed listening on port 1521. See setting Oracle Net Configuration Assistant listener configured on port 1521
f. connected: sys as sysdba, declared 'connected to an instance inactive.' sql > exit
g. ran > lsnrctl status reports, correct version, listener.ora, ~. Newspaper. "Wind" service has 1 instance. Instance "wind", status UNKNOWN, has 1 handler for this service...
h. registered in sys as sysdba, declared 'Connected to an idle instance.' Ran > startup open; output report:
Instance Oracle began.
Total system global area
Fixed size
Variable size
.. .blah blah...
Mounted database.
ORA-01092: ORACLE instance is complete. Disconnection forced
I am at a loss. Services Windows seems to have all my Oracle services running. But I can't connect to SQL * more like the system/pwd@sid that I have always done as a test before you import the dump. Ideas, suggestions?
I thank very you much for your time and the help of a neophyte.
Sincerely,
TomWhat document you went through. Can you provide a link? the document must be clearly mentioned this post steps patch must be... After having patched usually you start the database with upgrade to startup and it takes a bit of time to come. After that, you need to stop & restart the database with normal startup command.

Continuity of data bases...
I'd appreciate an Oracle DBA support for the application area of a piece of audit work to tender around business continuity of a database/oracle environment (managed and supported by an independent provider of 3rd). We had several 'security' checks/assessments of this oracle database and its environment, i.e. the infrastructure on which the database is installed/used and the web front end application. But I just think that it's only half the coverage of Obligatoirelorsque it comes down to risk, there is still operational issues namely, we call this 'business continuity' practices and controls.
Can anyone help to provide a range of things to include in a business continuity of an Oracle DBA/database provider type checking? Even if its just top-level ball indicates that I can't search far it will help. If you already have a before - you have a scope of work, if you have ever had such an assessment/audit of your own practices for oracle environments busienss continuity that you manage and support, which was included in the analysis? It doesn't make much sense to talk about business continuity at a database level - needs to be addressed at a level of service. Failure of the database is only one of many things that could affect the availability of the service.
But in general you should think about the following-What constitutes a loss of service? That is to say what is the trigger point to call your business continuity plans? You can have several levels of this complete failure, loss of functionality, loss of access based on the group/access channel geographical domain/user, each with different plans
-Who takes the decision to invoke the plan/plan climbing routes bits IE?
-Come with a plan for the various scenarios, not just technical (it is often the easy forest) - things like
-Communication - how you leave the team citing the plan, and users know? Keep in mind that the problem may be with a network, etc. Everyone has access to the regime, even if computer systems are declining?
-Training
-Physical considerations. Do you need a new server room? A place to work?
-Financial. What will be the financial impact? Can you get funds to pay staff, kit, accommodation etc. If necessary?
-Test. Plans should be tested. Can be difficult to sell to the leadership to really take your systems, but it is often the only way. And this time you know that you can easily turn things back on!
-Afterwards. Need to do any processing after the event? For example, one of my systems in the event of loss of an area node, the plan is to return to the record paper and communicate with the other offices for any urgent searches etc.. This backfill data into the system once it is available. You must provide the amount of the resources for this. You can come up with hundreds of different scenarios if get you carried away. You will never be able to plan for them all, then choose the most likely. In any case, it should be a process in constant evolution. For example, we had to add strategies around the avian flu (both a real pandemic scenario and more likely that the office is closed) a year or 2 ago.

After my upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 has failed, I restored my system to the point before you perform the upgrade. I did it because I noticed that in some cases, the files were not being updated (actually several years). The restore worked
