Loss of the HDMI sound after the monitor stop

System:

HP laptop computer dv9330ca on Vista 64-bit. NVidea GE Force 7600 and Conexant audio.

I have hooked the lappy HDMI cable to the TV (Toshiba 32DT2U or 32C110U, not sure) and had no sound.  Define sound from digital output (SPDIF) in Control Panel - still no sound.  Video drivers updated - make us it sound.  Update audio drivers - sound disappeared. Audio restoration pilot - still no sound. Re-install video drivers - make us it sound.  Reboot - we still have sound!  The Toshiba power on and turn it on again - no noise :( Re-install video drivers - still no sound :(

I rebooted after all the steps mentioned above.  I am aware of "the digital sound setting" in Control Panel, but it's not helping more.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

* UPDATE *.

I thought if I have no sound HDMI anyway, I might as well re - install the latest video driver again...

HDMI sound came back after restart >.

I'm sure I have will lose it again, probably when I stopped - the system, but I thought that I'll let you know - cordially

Thanks again for your time.

  • Portégé R700 - 14L - no HDMI sound after reformat HARD drive

I reformatted the HD just on my Portege R700 and sound via the HDMI TV (Toshiba TV) connection stopped working - through cable. Although the Control Panel indicates the TV speaker is the audio device by default, when you connect, no sound no fate through when I use the sound test or I play any MP4 file.

Could someone help me on how I should fix this?

    Thx a lot

    Hello

First, I would try to update the audio driver.
Usually the audio page of the European driver Toshiba driver should work to find, but the most recent driver is downloadable always on the chip manufacturer page
The sound chip is Realtek to try the driver for the HD directly from pages Realtek audio Manager.

You must uninstall it before you install the new audio driver, one installed
After installation, do not forget that the digital output was chosen as default device
In Control Panel-> sound-> reading tab, you can do this

  • No HDMI sound after Windows 8.1 update

    Hi guys,.

I was wondering if anyone of you can help you?

I have the envy 15 that came pre-installed with Win8.  When the 8.1 update came out, I installed and now cannot get any audio when connecting via HDMI to my TV, even if the image is there.

I made sure that all drivers are updated as far as I KNOW, but in the Device Manager, I get the highlight, obviously as stated above, the cable is connected.

Everything worked fine before the update and I also used 4 different cables, which are all very well that I also have an old Compaq laptop that runs always WIN8 allows audio via HDMI.

One of you, experts have thoughts on that?

    Regards and thanks in advance.

    Kian

In fact, the first time around was a "Refresh" as all the files were kept.  Yesterday, I did a "valorisation" who put me back on the outside of the box to the top.

Once all updates have been made, I tested and everything worked well, visuals and audio HDMI.  Updated to 8.1 and had just visual.  I restarted the laptop and I got new audio.

It seems that with 8.1 should I turn off the laptop and plug it into the TV before going back on what I didn't need to with Win 8. (note. I tried to restart the phone before you post here) so yes, not taken in charge with 8.1 and must have had a corrupt intsaller previously.

  • Monitor stops after the computer goes on standby, restart the computer to get it back

    original title: the monitor stop

my screen turns off whenever I leave the keyboard for just a matter of minutes. so, I have to restart the tool through passwords and the whole ordeal. How to stay online for a longer time?

It looks like your power settings are such that the monitor turns off after a defined time period.

Move the mouse or tapping the keyboard brings the monitor on?

If so, you can change power settings:

    1. click on the Start button

    2. click on Control Panel

    3. click on Power Options

    4. where it says "Turn off monitor", click on the arrow down and take more time

    5. click on OK

    Hope this helps

  • HDMI sound to play by default when helmet removed from the helmet.

I am using a Dell laptop with an HDMI monitor plugged into the HDMI port.
I can get the HDMI monitor to read her if I select it as the default playback device. (ASUS VN247-3)
When I do this, so if I plug a headset it will not play, I have to go back to the sound settings and select loudspeaker/headset as default device to get my headphones to work.
So if I unplug my headphones from the headphone port is then played on my laptop speakers that are very bad. To get the sound back to my Asus speakers monitors I have to go back in the acoustic sound settings and redo the ASUS VN247-3 my default device in order to have the sound played by the monitor that has decent speakers.
I wan to know is there a way to make the order of the sound.
No helmet - Play on asus monitor
Wired headset - always a read on helmet
No helmet or HDMI not connected used the laptop speakers, that would only be when I'm away from my home office.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft Forum.

I would like to inform you that if you try to play through the headset while HDMI is connected and as default so it is not possible that Windows cannot have two default audio devices. To automatically play in the headset, the HDMI monitor should be disconnected, if the HDMI monitor and headphones are disconnected both laptop speaker is automatically selected as the default playback device.

If the sound does not automatically monitor HDMI to helmet even after the HDMI monitor is disconnected, then you must update the drivers of the audio card to the Web site of the manufacturer, which is DELL.

The link you can do refers to:

    http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriversHome/ShowProductSelector

Hope this information is useful. If the problem still persists, please post back for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

    Thank you.

The sound on my laptop works fine until I connect it via HDMI to a monitor HP Pavilion 24xw.  Then the sound disappears.  If I disconnect it, the sound comes back.

I tried to go to the 'Sound' of the control panel section.  There are two options:

    Realtek High Definition Audio speakers

    HP 24xw

  • HP ENVY laptop - 15-ae178ca: Second monitor stopped working after the automatic update of HP

I use my laptop with a second monitor (HP Pavillion 22xw) connected by HDMI. It was working fine until yesterday (including yesterday it worked), when a message from automatic upgrade HP was shown to informing him that the system needs to be restarted. After that, my second monitor stopped working. The system will not identify it more. I tried another cable, I rebooted several times, I tried to update the specific Intel graphics driver, I tried to uninstall and install manually another (I can't get this one done, because when I run manually downloaded driver there is a message saying that I need to contact the manufacturer). Please notify that I need my second monitor is fully functional!

I understand that you have a problem with the display and wanted to help you!  I see only after an update, the external monitor no longer works.

Given that this problem happened recently, have you tried to perform a System Restore, to define the notebook to its previous working state?  If this does not work, have you tried to update the drivers of graphics Chipset and BIOS on the HP website directly?  You can find the drivers for you product here: drivers - HP's ENVY for laptop - 15-ae178ca

  • 750se envy: envy of the brand new office no signal to the monitor via HDMI

Just got my new 750se envy and 25 x 25 backlit monitor. After putting it all together, I connect the monitor of the Tower via HDMI. Tower boots, display lights, I pop in setting up the drive, but the monitor says that it cannot find a signal. I test my old monitor to the new Tower (a monitor of series pavilion aged 7 years). Same results. The Tower seems to be the treatment given that you can hear what it read the disc.

I take another hdmi cable and and test exactly as described above. New monitor, new Tower and new hdmi cable still no signal. Old monitor, new Tower and new hdmi cable still no signal.

Just to be sure, I plug my new monitor to my old HP Pavilion desktop computer. Tower lights up as usual, and the new monitor immediately comes to life with color. I can safwly guess it's the tower. I open the side panel and check all jacks to make sure they are warm and fully attached. Nothing seems to be loose or out of place.

I start to sting online for answers. I met this reset of the BIOS. Press F10 to 8 seconds, down, 3 times arrow, enter twice and restart. Nothing. Still no signal. Can I assume there is something wrong with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 and windows the cause? Maybe turn hdmi ports are messy? It was the only other subjects I really found on the issue. Everything seems to work, just no signal between the monitor and Tower.

Since it is a relatively new machine, instead of hurt for hours to fix yourself, why not just let HP repair at our expense!

You must contact the HP Customer Support directly so they put you in contact with HP Tech Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.

I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.

  • I can stream movies on my PC using the desktop PC monitor. But when I unplug the monitor and use a PC to TV HDMI cable I get the video but the audio now

    . Video streaming

I can stream movies on my PC using the desktop PC monitor. But when I unplug the monitor and use a PC to TV HDMI cable I get the video but the audio now... Suggestions?

Thanks for the file INF. I ck'ed for driver updates and I have the latest drivers installed.  I got the sound working on the TV by hanging the audio output of the PC to the entrance of the TV with the HDMI cable in place for video. It's the simplest solution to this problem, so I took it.

By the way, I have a Dell 620 with windows 7.
  • No HDMI Audio after the resumption of sleep\standby

    Original title: No Audio HDMI

Windows recognizes not the HDMI audio after recovering from sleep mode.

The Audio is back, via HDMI, after restarting.

I found a solution if your PC has an optical output and HDMI. Connect an optical cable to PC and then to sound system. HDMI PC to TV. Work of the mine. I don't have to reboot, I check my computer Realtek speakers as default.

  • U2413, Audio sound coming from monitors the headphone jack.

I have audio noise from headphone monitor U2413 plug.  My setup includes the following: XPS 15 laptop computer connected to the monitor with DisplayPort cable and the last standard headphones to the monitor.  The noise sounds like the gain is all the way to the top.  I have no audio on the computer running and still hear static noise.  I hear the sound noise cut only when I disconnect the video cable.  I tried DisplayPort and HDMI cables and still the same result.  The two cables that I know are well insulated.  Is their environment in the monitor that should get rid of this noise?

The user's Guide, States on page 9,
"Audio Out = connect the mini stereo Jack sound bar.
«NOTE: use of the helmet is not supported for the line audio output connector.»

This port is designed to be used with the Dell soundbar speakers or some other speakers. You should connect your headphones to the audio output jack of the computer.

Help his Mac Mini? Connected to monitor w / sound coming from monitor. I tried speaker external buffering in the back of the unit and still get only his monitor speakers.

    How is the monitor connected?

Are to connect the speakers to the headphone 3.5 mm? And not the line-in jack 3.5?

If you go to System Preferences > sound > you can select the speakers/headphones output?
