One of them involved starting in safe mode, but I was unable to get into safe mode (never seen that option). Everything I tried, install programs, and anything that modifies the system asked the administrator password. I was able to install updates for windows, but not able to upgrade to windows 8.1.   I recently bought a W510 of craigslist, the tablet was without charger and would not ask upward.

  Purchase of a charger and turn on the Tablet, I can not login as administrator.

  Does that mean I'm stuck.

  I could solve this problem once I bought the keyboard dock.

  All attempts without the dock failed.

  I have had 1 attempt with dock for windows reinsall 8.1 on this tablet and installed the drivers.
